Pros:
+smooth matte finish
+feels moisturizing even though it’s matte
+it’s oil free
+low-moderate coverage
+cheap price
+comes in a simple,plastic tube
+it seems to have some oil control
+didn’t clog my pores
Cons:
– looks a bit cakey on my dry skin
,-doesn’t seem really long-lasting and looks patchy and more cakey after a few hours
-very limited shade range.even if we forget about different undertones,it needs at least one lighter shade and two darker ones
-I’m not a fan of it’s scent (but it’s very light)
As someone with dry skin I never buy foundation with the words “matte” or “oil-free” in their names but there was just one tube of this foundation in shade 10/Matt Beige left in a local cosmetic shop and it had only 4 months to it’s expire date so they had priced it 1.5 USD and I’m a foundation junkie so I left the store with it with almost zero hopes and expectation.I have to say it’s better than what I thought, still far from a favorite
I was afraid shade 10 might be gostly white but it’s not.it’s light imo,not fair, and a bit on the peachy side.it oxidizes on me but very slightly.when I first swatches it on my hand I thought it doesn’t feel that matte as it felt pretty moisturizing but in less than a minute,it set itself to a matte finish.a nice, smooth, natural matte not a desert dry, cracky one.
Coverage is somewhere between light and medium.I could like it but unfortunately it looks cakey on some parts of my face.still better than some high-end ones which create a cake-face horrendous mess on me (I’m looking at you It Cosmetics Your Skin but Better CC Cream and Estee Lauder Double Wear) but enough to make me feel uncomfortable (I like my foundations to be skin like and invisible)
It didn’t seem long-lasting to me unlike it’s 12h longevity claim.after less than 6 hours it looked more cakey, patchy and dry..eventhough I have dry skin my nose turns oily after a while with most foundations but not with this one so it must have some oil control.I give it that and it didn’t break me out (but I’m not sensitive to most foundations)
All in all it’s not a bad foundation.I think it looks less cakey if you’re not as dry as me.I’m going to give it a few more chances with different application tools and primers and if I couldn’t fix it’s cakeyness,I’ll give it to my sister(combo skin.extremely oily tzone, almost normal elsewhere).

This foundation is one of my favorites. It might not have enough coverage for all skintypes, but for my fair/medium skin it is great and simple, and price-wise it can compete with other brand foundations that are much more expensive.

My skin is very sensitive so I was hesitating to buy this foundation because is very cheap and some drugstore foundations make me breakout. The cons: Packaging looks very cheap. I noticed that it has a weird scent like jojoba scent or something, which is not that good, i don’t like fragrance in my foundations or my skincare products. This foundation claims to have a mattifying finish, I can say that my face was matt at the beginning and I was happy, but after 4 hours of use I was completely oily and not mattifying at all, what a bummer.
I have combination skin, a little bit oily in my t zone and some dry areas around my cheeks, but this foundation makes me look shiny after hours of use, the worst part is the it made me break out so i stopped using it. Another con is that all shades have a pink tone.
The pros: The shade 10 matt beige matches me, the color is a bit into the pink side like most of the essence products, but it blends into my skin tone if I set it with a warmer setting powder. It’s a blendable foundation with a decent lightweight consistency. I don’t recommend this if you have oily or combination skin.

So I’m a student on a budget and I pretty much would try any foundation with this price. I’ve bought about 4 of this foundation, not because I loved it, but because it was cheap and I couldn’t find anything else. Also, it’s cruelty free, yay!!!
This foundation is a light coverage, you can build it to a medium coverage but for me it gets very cakey. It gets very cakey on my forehead even with just one layer. I don’t really like the shade range, I’m not super pale and the lightest shade was a little bit too dark for me. It does cling onto my dry patches when my skin gets dry.
It dries to a matt finish and it doesn’t make you look oily which is great, but I think it doesn’t last very long. I’ve worn this to school a lot of times and when I’ve came home after 6 hours it had melted everywhere pretty much.
Overall, I think it’s a good foundation for the price. I have now switched to the Wet N Wild Coverall Foundation and I think it’s so much better and for a good price as well, so now I wouldn’t rebuy it. xxx

Pros –
Price
definitely matte
Good coverage
Cons-
The palest shade is very orange (on me at least!)
You need to apply FAST
goes patchy after a few hours

For the price tag, this foundation isn’t too bad- it lives up to its claims about a matte finish, is easily blendable and buildable (although I would say it has medium coverage). The colour itself has a pink undertone and is very creamy when applying.
Pros:
– Very blendable
– Buildable coverage
– Packing is convenient, perfect for travel
– The tube lasts long
– Doesn’t cost much
Cons:
– Limited shade range
– Can be harder to get a hold of compared to other drugstore foundations
– The scent isn’t the nicest, but certainly bearable.
Overall, I would re-purchase this foundation if they improved their shade range- as the pink undertone didn’t work for me as well as a yellow undertone would. Otherwise, great value for money

Absolutely amazing foundation imo!!! Funny thing is it looks better the longer it stays on. Mattifies even a bit too much for me. But I Do not have very oily skin, so I guess it’s got to be expected. But I really find it’s good value for the price!!!
I only miss two things to make it a hg for me: 1.) spf and 2.) a lighter shade.
I’m an NC 15 NC20 and the lightest shade in this is more on the nc20 side. So I can only wear it during summertime when I’m slightly tanned.
I also love the fact that it’s cruelty free.

It true when they say oil free and long lasting. But the problem i had with this is it became cakey after some minute. Maybe because the froduct doesnot mve once you put it and becaise it is also matt. It gives a smooth and flawless finish but it cakes at times.
