This is really wonderful for the price! It’s not my holy grail foundation, but this is a top-notch budget foundation if you are seeking full coverage ♡
I use the shade F7, which I thought would be too dark, but somehow it manages to be just right for me. I have light skin with yellow undertones, and redness in my cheeks. I’m generally 𝙉𝘾25 .
F7’s description says “𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘮𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘶𝘮 𝘴𝘬𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘢 𝘯𝘦𝘶𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘭 𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘵𝘰𝘯𝘦”. Sounds way off to my own skin tone, right? A shade labeled “medium” in most ranges would be too dark for me, but not here.
I actually have a little bit of trouble with foundation shades that are for yellow tones because they are often too light or too dark for me, or SO yellow that they appear dark on me. I do promise though, that in most ranges I am usually LIGHT with WARM undertones – just not according to Makeup Revolution’s Conceal & Hydrate line. *shrug*
𝐒𝐨 𝐢𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐚 𝐬𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐞, 𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐚 𝐧𝐞𝐮𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞.
Anyway, the description mentions medium-to-full coverage. I’d say it’s full coverage right off the bat, unless you’re careful to put on a small amount and spread it evenly.
It is glowy, but not too greasy. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because it stays slightly tacky and feels a bit heavy. But ya know what? It lasts all day and it doesn’t spread or separate. It also doesn’t look cakey or “overdone”, which is usually an unfortunate quality to full coverage foundations.
I recommend this for DRY-skinned gals like myself. It’s really good. Again, you can’t beat this price!

I was a fan of Revolution’s Conceal & Define foundation, but now I have the new Conceal & Hydrate one, the original has gone on my purge pile, as I don’t need to meddle with the new one for a comfortable all-day wear. I don’t need to add drops of facial oil to Conceal & Hydrate for a non cakey finish, it works well over all of my preferred primers and can be applied wet or dry; there’s no contest between the two foundations for those with drier skin.
Whatever number you are in any other Revolution foundation and/or concealer, is the number you’ll be for Conceal & Hydrate. I have no complaints with this foundation; it gives flawless coverage that lasts the full day and I’ve not experienced any oxidation, transfer or cakiness. The finish is a lightweight satiny & glowy healthy-skin one, the coverage is a none mask-like medium-buildable one, and the wear time time is excellent, plus it hasn’t oxidised on me. I’ll apply it in the morning and it’ll still be in place 8/9 hours later, either with or without being set. Some reviewers mentioned that this foundation doesn’t set as quickly as Conceal & Define and feels tacky, but I’ve had neither issue – it must be because I have truly dry skin.
Conceal & Define does wear for a few more hours on me, but Conceal & Hydrate stays looking and feeling fresh, whereas the original dries down to the point of emphasising pores. A fresher appearance is much more important than a couple more hours of too-dry wear, at least it is in my view. I’ve sampled the new Fenty foundation and this one honestly feels and performs the same, plus has a range of 50 shades. Oh; this has a pump bottle, rather than the doe foot that the original foundation has.
This is my new favourite foundation.
