I’m not a huge MK fan, but I do really like this product. It’s perfect for days I want a little coverage for a minimal look. The consistency is lotion-like and very easy to blend. I do wish MK would add more shades (I’m fair, so the “Light to Medium” works well for me in the summer, but not so much in the winter.) I add a touch of powder, as I’m oily skinned and this does not have a matte finish.

This is a review for Mary Kay® CC Cream Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 15 in Light to Medium – which is just a tad too dark for my winter skin, I will try “Very Light” next – but in summer this will be just fine. For $20 (less on Ebay or find an MK lady who is going out of biz) it’s fine.
I am not a huge CC person – I like wet/dry/powder foundation (Yeah, I know – old skool) but this one is light feeling and seems just fine.

I recently won a mary kay giveaway while I was visiting in Houston, Tx for a women’s expo and I was introduced to mary kay products. The CC cream is my favorite. I am usually a NC45 and the cc cream in deep is perfect for my skin tone. This foundation is for those days when you want to look like you put in the effort to wear makeup but you just don’t feel like wearing too many products on your face. It blurs out imperfections and evens out your skin tone. I recommend that if you want a little more coverage to add a little more or you can use a bit of concealer. overall, I love this product! It has a really nice pump on the packaging and its even nice and sleek enough to fit inside your purse if you really needed it. I am definitely buying a back up of this stuff.

Love the Mary Kay CC cream. Wish that the foundation would come with the same pump that the CC cream does. It covers up my redness and evens out my skin tone. Sometimes I prefer to just wear this and not the other foundation as well. Well done Mary Kay!

This is the first time I’ve ever found a base that is actually warm toned yet light enough for my skin! (I have a tube in Very Light). I love how it looks and feels on my skin and the fact that it doesn’t oxidise and go all rancid on my skin during the day. This is truly the best match on my skin and I love the pump top tube because it doesn’t let air in and dispenses the perfect amount. I prefer buying makeup from a store than waiting for a Mary Kay party/consultation but if I can’t find a good substitute then I will definitely buy again.

Since Aveeno discontinued their CC cream, I’ve been on the search for something as awesome without a rich woman’s price tag. I paid around $24 for 75 ml of the Aveeno, whereas this was $30 for 30 ml. When I applied it, it smelled like margarine, & kind of felt a bit like it, too. It says it’s oil-free, yet I find it a wee bit greasy. I have the oily t-zone, & dry around the hairline. I also have very sensitive skin. It does make my skin have a bit of a glow, but I’m comparing it to the Aveeno, & it’s just not cutting it for me. It doesn’t give me the same matte finish and glow. Coverage-wise, it’s real thick, so if you have a lot of acne, forget it. I don’t. The occasional pimple during my monthly, but that’s it. I don’t need full coverage. The only way I’ll buy it again is if I can’t find something better.

Marcelle’s CC cream is very similar to their BB cream but lighter in texture and finish on the skin. It provides solid medium coverage but is extremely natural, not heavy or artificial at all. They have enclosed the product in an opaque white bottle, presumably to keep light away from any of the active ingredients that aid in color correcting, etc. The product is very creamy but it sinks into the skin and provides added hydration which makes it feel very comfortable and flexible while wearing. Marcelle has a very disappointing shade range. If you are fair to medium they have got you covered and their shades while limited, do in fact have some form of adjusting pigments such that they work on most skin tones. Dark skinned beauties will have zero luck with this brand though. Their deepest shade is good for me when I have a tan but there is nothing deeper in tone beyond that. It’s extremely hard to tell when you are running out because as another reviewer mentioned the bottle feels very light and you can’t see the product through the packaging. All that aside, I do really like this CC cream, but for that matter I like their BB cream, City Tinted cream, and their foundation too.

I like the fact that there is sunscreen in this formula. It’s a lightweight base with pretty good coverage for a cc cream and has a nice dewy finish before powder. My one huge problem is that it doesn’t play nice with other products, especially powder. I applied it this morning and then set it with powder and put some setting spray over that. It’s not even halfway through the day and it’s breaking up on my chin and nose and looks generally pretty gross up close on those spots. The shine also comes through after a couple hours so oily skins will not enjoy this.
Not sure what to do with it, since it’s in my summer colour but it could be the perfect “no-makeup” glowy foundation without setting it. Will test further, but if you’re looking for an everyday foundation to use with powder products this is a no-go.
UPDATE:
This was written before I was on accutane so I was very oily and now have become sahara-desert dry. Since transitioning into dry skin, I really love this foundation. It gives awesome coverage with a healthy amount of sunscreen and doesn’t remain super super glowy/oily on my skin anymore. I can now use powder sparingly over it without any problems at all.
Hugely recommend for dry skinned ladies. The shade range still sucks however and there is no super-fair option or any real medium-deep option either, so 1 lippie off.

At first, I was mad that I received this product in a makeup sample package because it made my skin look like it was hit with a ball of powder but after playing around with it (adding blush, and bronzer), I actually started to like it. It works very well as a primer/foundation. It does cover up blemishes but not very well. It is light on the skin and does give the skin a slight glow. I like to wear it under my makeup because it does make my makeup lasts longer. I have went out and purchased a BB cream and still prefer this over that cream. If I found it on sale at a reasonable price, I would purchase again

I really wanted to love this. I did even repurchase it once. I used the Light/Medium, for my NC20-25 skin. Not a lot of coverage, but enough to cover redness, which is all I ask for. It has SPF35, but the sunscreen formula is less than stellar, so I only trust it for overcast fall/winter days. I like the finish in the winter, but it never seems to dry in the summer, very tacky feeling. For the price, there are better options.

I have always been a supporter of Marcelle products. Love that they’re a Canadian, cruelty-free company, love that most of their products are reasonably priced and really deliver quality for your buck, but this product? Just nope. Marcelle says CC stands for Complete Correction – I say they need to rename it Crap Cream, because that’s what it is for me. Thank god I bought this on sale at Shoppers for $24.99 instead of the regular price of closer to $40 in store (not that I’m happy about wasting 25 bucks).
PROS: I bought it in Fair, which does match my pasty skin tone pretty well. The spf 35 is a nice addition, though I never rely on my foundation/moisturizer to actually supply adequate sun protection since I don’t cake it on. Packaging is decent. I do feel like this gives my skin a bit of a glow. Doesn’t have a scent and doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin.
CONS: Coverage is disappointingly sheer. I’ve used Marcelle’s BB cream in the past and felt that it provided far better coverage. It balls up a bit over my moisturizer which is just gross. Someone else mentioned that it accentuates their dry spots and I totally noticed that this morning. I find the coverage is kindof streaky/patchy. It blends out okay with a foam sponge but I feel like that shouldn’t be a necessity with what’s basically a tinted moisturizer (that does not moisturize, lol).
For me, it’s an overpriced primer at best, and that’s what I’ll use it for just to use up the bottle unless one of my similarly pale faced friends wants to give it a whirl. I like the end result when I apply a light dusting of my Pur Minerals 4-in-1 pressed mineral foundation over top, but that’s more from the Pur Minerals than anything having to do with this product. Absolutely will not repurchase.

I bought this last week in Light Medium, I am a NW15-20 and that is a touch too dark for me. It cost $39.98 CDN before taxes reg price at Shoppers/Pharmaprix. With GST and BC PST it came to $44.78.
Positives: It’s not matte, but not dewy either. It’s my skin only better stuff. Call it a tinted moisturizer with extra benefits and a touch of extra coverage.
Comes in a pump bottle with an opaque plexiglass container to keep light out which is good because this has some active ingredients including Vit C which are light and air sensitive. One pump does my face.
It has medium coverage which takes out the redness for which I bought it.
Supposed to help stop discolouration and fade marks that are already there but a good sunscreen with Niacinimide like Olay will do that too. It has a few more bells and whistles than Olay so I think it might work well in tandem with it, but I can’t speak to the brighten and lighten claim yet.
It feels like nothing on my skin at all, also good. Leaves me moisturized not parched. Slight tendency to be an oil slick on my nose after 6 hours of wear so I am now carrying a powder compact with me to just touch up the coverage and matte the nose down again but cheeks, forehead and chin are fine 12 hours later.
SPF 35 coming from titanium and Octinoxate, a chemical sunscreen which is an excellent strength and on me it doesn’t itch, burn or irritate. Now there is a proven age spot and freckle reducer!
Fragrance Free, supposedly hypoallergenic and on me it is.
It allows a couple of minutes to smooth it on before it sets. Time to fix mistakes, blend it out a bit etc.
It doesn’t ball up on top of my SPF30 Olay Complete day moisturizer. That combo gives me assured sunscreen. (I don’t trust a foundation to do it all, as I apply it sheer to nothing on the outer thirds of my face where the wrinkles live).
Here are the negatives:
Colour range is poor, I only saw light med and med at my Shoppers/Pharmaprix. The light med is a touch too tan for me although I can tone it down with my paler powders as I set it, either EL’s Lucidity in Light Medium or Lancome’s Neutrale II in Dual Finish. If I can find a tester of Light, I will buy that next time. Otherwise I will just keep buying and tweaking the Light Medium with a paler powder to set.
I also had to dust on a little pale bronzer onto my neck and decollete region to make my face and neckline match.
I think anyone above a NW or NC 30-35 might have trouble getting this to work. NW or NC 15 and below should TRY to find the light shade if you can.
HOWEVER my daughter looked at me in daylight yesterday and didn’t think it was too dark at all, thought it looked quite nice, like me but better.
I apply it with my fingers, which isn’t ideal, can be streaky but the setting time allows me to fix streaks and dab a bit more on spots that need more.
Tends to pool in the pores a bit and accentuate wrinkles on the outside of my eyes, so I sheer it out to nothing on the sides of my face and I plan to start using a primer on top of the sunscreen before putting this on. Hoping that takes out the pooling pore problem, but honestly that doesn’t show unless someone gets in really close with a magnifying mirror.
Either a primer or applying with a beauty blender should eliminate that problem. I plan to buy that Rimmel primer again, I remember it worked well on other foundations before.
EDITED TO ADD: I am upgrading this from 4 to 5, I’ve tried it with a primer and it makes no difference as to wear time or pore pooling, but what DOES make a difference is using my Quo disposable non latex sponge applicators and patting it on. That leaves an absolutely wonderful finish. I still touch up the nose with powder once in a 12 hour wear time, but that is it. I put 1 pump onto the sponge and dab the excess on my forehead, cheeks, nose and chin and blend out from there. Colour wise it’s fine, I’m not even using a lighter powder to set it, I’m using my regular skin tone powder which is Lancome’s Dual Finish in Matte Buff II.
BACK TO ORIGINAL REVIEW:

If my beloved Elizabeth Arden cream foundation wasn’t giving me pimples now, I’d still be using it.
Fact is if you are after a tinted moisturizer with a little more to it for aging skin, this is quite a good option. It isn’t as expensive as Laura Mercier if you can get it (Sephora is only in major cities and LM isn’t at many other outlets in Canada) and it’s a little less expensive than a CC or BB from Estee Lauder, Dior or Lancome. About the same pricewise as Clinique but I think this has better performance than Clinique.
Edited to add:
Bought the Clinique CC to compare and yes this is a better product but the bulky hard square bottle is annoying to travel with and that is where Clinique’s CC is better. Cliniques feels drier and heavier on the face though, so I prefer the Marcelle but for foundation purposes I’ve moved on to Lancome’s Teint Visionnaire in Ivoire 110 C which is providing equal comfort and more coverage with a perfect satiny skin look that I’m loving. However it is almost twice the price of Marcelle or Clinique.
Final update: Tossing it, I’m liking my Estee Lauder Double Wear Nude cushion stick applied over my usual SPF 30 (olay complete for sensitive skin) much much better. The finish, the wear time the ease of application and lastly that bottle. My DWNude stick fits in my TSA liquid allowance for ease of flying and travel so much better than this hard bulky rectangle. Lighter too.

This product is in a weird no man’s land where it’s too mattifying and high coverage to be a BB cream, but at the same time not effective enough at what it does to make a good foundation. Call me crazy, but I feel like if you’re going to be obvious on the face, you need to offer more than three shades. I like that it’s sunscreen free, but in every other way, this is just an inferior version of NARS tinted moisturizer.

I’ve never been more on the fence about… Any product.
I’m fair combination skinned with major sensitivity. Bought this under the idea that it was labeled as good for sensitive skin, cruelty free and was on super clearance.
Pros:
Covers redness to my satisfaction. Redness gone and color matched very well, which pretty much never happens for me with foundation. Only a very light smell detectable. Texture is smooth and dries to a very smooth, satin looking finish. A little dewiness which is always a plus to me.
Things that made me say “Eh??”: I don’t know if this is a common experience with this stuff, but when they say “brightening”, they are NOT KIDDING. I tried to take some pictures to show here, both indoor and outdoor, and I literally glowed (not like shimmer, I’m talking radioactive type GLOW) so hard in both picture that I couldn’t bring myself to post any. Now I’m quite pale but this has never happened to me before. I really don’t know how I feel about it. Then comes the texture. It seems a little goes a long way, but the workability is odd. I had to work around with it A LOT to get even close to a natural looking finish. It stays wet for all that time so this is an Eh. Again, not sure how to feel.
Cons: Took pretty much forever to work this into my skin in a way that looked okay. It’s funny that it doesn’t have any sunscreen in it, because it applies like a thiiick one. Covered redness as I mentioned but highlighted every little bump and wrinkle I didn’t even know I had. Once worked over again (all with fingers, by the way) it looked a little better in that category, but seeing those crazy little bumps everywhere was a bit jarring for me. If I was in low lighting maybe this wouldnt be so bad.
Overall, I would use this again because of how well my skin seems to like it, which is a major rarity in a foundation, but I am going to have to experiment with it more to figure out a way to get something resembling a natural finish with it.
*Update*
Wore it for the day and a few new notes. I had a painful under the skin pimple on my chin that has been absolutely plaguing me. I applied this stuff like normal over it, and a few hours later I absent mindedly touched over the pimple spot and…. NO MORE PAIN and it went down significantly. I also had a little contact dermatitis around my mouth and that seems to have gone down, despite that by all my calculations it had about a week left to heal. I don’t know what the deal is here but these things have to be related to the CC cream because it’s the only thing I’ve done any differently. I think I’ll keep this stuff around.

This is a CC cream that I used after my horrible first try with a BB Cream (MAC). This CC cream failed to impress. After trying both, I went back to using foundations.
The reason I wanted to enjoy a BB/CC cream was to help streamline my morning routine, have a look that is put together, not too heavy and doesn’t require a lot of product. I have sensitive/acne-prone skin so I tend to shy away from products that do not like they are non-comedogenic.
This product- doesn’t blend. Period. Not with/without moisturizer/primer/fingers/brush/beauty blender. Nothing could even it out. Sank into my pores. Exaggerated fine lines. Poor coverage. I looked better without any make up on, than with this.
Well, after I got my skin under control I gave it another go (since my skins texture has improved) same issues as before. I tossed it. I do not recommend.
However, I have found my HG CC cream, which is the SuperGoop! Highly recommend!

As a person with sensitive combo/crazy skin, it’s been difficult to find products that can help me maintain that fine balance. I also have yellow undertones with medium skin that has a tendency to oxidize the colors that I wear, specially mineral makeup. Because of my skin tone I get a lot of makeup people trying to sell me products that are too dark. This stuff has been an amazing find. I don’t see that my pores stand out, and I actually see that it has skin care benefits, beyond being a CC (I couple of slight breakouts have subsided). It gives you a beautiful matt finish, and an overall healthy brightness. Does not oxidize on me. I do recommend that you apply in two steps. First put on your moisturizer and then use a brush to apply. No powder is necessary. I would use a setting spray instead. It’s been years since I use powder. Also this is a cruelty free company and no parabens or other sensitizing ingredients. Also, this does provide a heavier coverage than most CC, in my opinion.

I was a little apprehensive when trying this product as every single bb/ cc cream I’ve tried has left me saying ewww, this is terrible. BUT NOT THIS!!! I love this cc cream. I have sensitive, combo, acne prone skin and this just works for me. I feel like I’ve finally found a product I like for those days when you just want something with a little lighter coverage. I don’t like to look completely made up everyday and having a 14 month old sometimes makes that impossible even if I wanted that. This counter acts my redness and it just disappears. I read a lot of reviews saying this product makes your proves extremely accentuated and very matte but I feel the complete opposite. It felt soothing on my skin and just blurred out all my imperfections. I still have to use concealer if I have a blemish but hey its a cc cream. If you want that perfect, completely flawless skin look, then go for a foundation. But for me, I just need something easy that makes me feel pretty and put together quickly. It feels so soothing going on. I love it. Also I looooooooove that Lorac is cruelty free. Major plus as I’m trying to switch all my products to cruelty free. I’ve tried brands from Nars, urban decay, cover fx, boscia to rimmel, loreal, nyx, and physicians formula and then some. I feel like I’ve finally found something that works for ME. Yay

I have mixed feelings about this. First off I love it because it is one of the only foundations/CC Creams that doesn’t break my acne prone skin out. Also it’s packed full of good for your skin ingredients. And it doesn’t have SPF in it which may be a turn off to some but for me SPF’s tend to break me out. Now the cons: I do not like the way it actually looks on my face. It dried to a matte finish which emphasizes every little line on my face and makes my pores look huge. However, it does do an AMAZING job of covering redness. I would say this is a light to medium coverage product. On good skin days I wear it alone buffed in with my RT Buffing Brush….but since my skin is usually a hot mess I wear this as a primer which it works excellent as since silicone based primers break me out. I have repurchased this and most likely will continue to repurchase not because it’s HG worthy but simply because it doesn’t break me out or aggravate my skin and for me it’s rare to find a product that doesn’t break me out so that alone is enough to make me repurchase even though I’m not crazy about the way it actually looks when I wear it

I have combination oily skin and mostly applied this product on the more oily parts of my face. It had perfectly fine staying power on me, especially if I used a primer or set it with a spray or powder, but none of those were usually necessary.
I purchased this product through Urban Outfitters on a whim when it went on sale for $9.99. I almost wish I had picked up 2, but the one tube lasted me sooo long it’s probably best I hadn’t. I really loved using this product and it became a staple in my makeup routine. My tube probably has another couple weeks of product left in it and I’m sad to see it go. With the pump, the tube stays sealed and no air gets in, which also allows the pump to work as it creates a vacuum inside. I think the seal broke on my tube once when I was flying, so I started having to remove the lid to get product as the pump no longer worked. This isn’t really a complaint though as the packaging worked fine for me for such a long time and I think the air pressure in the plane is what did it in.
I got the Universal shade and it worked perfectly for my fairly pale skin. I only used it around my T-zone to cover some redness, so it lasted me an incredibly long time. I liked that this wasn’t too full coverage and would cover up the redness in my skin while still letting my freckles peak through. The scent was also wonderful, I looked forward to putting it on every morning just for the smell. The fragrance wasn’t irritating or too strong, mildly perfume-y.
I would definitely recommend this product to anyone that isn’t looking for a full coverage foundation and just wants a nice, buildable coverage. Would repurchase, even full price!

I too purchased this at Ulta. I had not heard of it before and one of the sales girls did try it on me and I was amazed at how the color adjusted to my skin. I am a redhead and fair. I did buy the primer called Face Magnet and using it with that did help it stay on all day. I am very happy with it. My skin had no problems and no breakouts. I am 54 years old and it wasn’t drying to my skin and I did not notice any caking either.

I received a sample of this from Ulta recently. I am in the market for new CC cream/foundation. I am a licensed esthetician, so I am very picky about what I put on my skin. This CC cream was a mystery to me since I hadn’t met anyone who had tried it, but it never seemed to be in-stock, or almost out of stock, when I went to Ulta.
Anyways, the sample I got gave me three full days of of trying the cream. I love it! Its buildable (granted you do have a to wait a few minutes in between layers to make sure it absorbs and the color disperses completely) As someone with super oily and VERY reactive skin, I’m impressed. It doesn’t run off my face like a lot of other CC creams I have tried, and the fact that the color adapts to your skin makes it perfect.
My only complaint is that when I was washing my face it made my eyes sting and it took a few minutes for it to stop. Otherwise, there isn’t anything else to complain about!

This is Color Control cream with color beads that adapts to your skin tone. It boasts anti-aging properties and also provides sun protection. It appears to be white coming out of the tube, but it soon changes color while correcting color imperfections on your skin. The first time I put it on I was a bit fearful that it would appear pasty and white on my skin, but wow.. My skin actually looked much improved. I also noticed that some of the irritation that I had going, because of another product tone down a bit. The redness was gone. I am an NC37 and this worked fine for me. It also controlled oiliness without drying. I do recommend putting on a moisturizer under it, if you have very dry skin. I would wait for the moisturizer to soak in a bit, before you put this on. For my combination skin it’s fine by itself. The tube is perfect with a pump, so you don’t get bacteria into it. I am loving Pop Beauty. Very healthy, skin friendly products.

I bought this when I saw it on sale, Gorgeous Cosmetics are very expensive products in Australia and I think they’ve now pulled out of Australia. I saw these in an Amcal Chemist who were getting rid of the line, probably because they weren’t selling. Gorgeous Cosmetics prices are comparable to high end products like Estee Lauder, Chanel, Dior, and at that price point, I expect the product to perform far better than a drugstore product.
To me a CC Cream is supposed to be a jumped up tinted moisturiser/sunscreen. ie a lightweight product that delivers some coverage, some moisturising properties and some sun protection properties. I don’t expect full coverage, but i do expect a bit of a tint thats suitable for weekends, good skin days and events where you don’t want to be obvious that you are wearing makeup.
They had a great range of colours, even at discount, they also had a good range for women with darker skin colours (african/asian skin tones), something many companies don’t have. I ended up purchasing the colour in 2NCC and I’ve no idea what that translates to (2 Neutral? CC cream?)
The colour is a bit pinky yellow, like its supposed to be a corrector. The product is very emoliant and leaves my skin feeling really nice and soft and dewy. Its a great product for dry skin days. This has some coverage (more than the BB Cream) but your skin is going to show through, any redness will show through (although the moisturiser does calm the skin), all freckles and skin discolouration show through. Basically, its a very expensive moisturiser with some sunscreen properties and a hint of tint. Maybe I’m supposed to wear this as a primer under foundation? maybe I’m supposed to wear this on no make up days? I don’t know, but if you’re looking for coverage, walk right on past this product. If you’re looking for an overpriced moisturiser/balm, then definitely consider this product.
Packaging is great, plastic pump bottle with a nice secure lid, you can keep this in your travel bag easily without fear of spillage. Looks to be about 30ml of product. Pump hasn’t failed me.

I’m really surprised by the lukewarm and negative reviews! The coverage is medium teetering on full (particularly for redness), the finish is slightly dewy and hyper-real (that “too perfect” ceramic smooth finish) and it’s kind to dry skin. I can see why it wouldn’t work for oily skin types or hot, humid conditions as it doesn’t completely dry down, retaining that hydrating but slightly tacky feel. The other pitfall is that by the end of an 8 hour work day, this shows signs of wear but that can be said for many foundations and for a cc cream the longevity is respectable. I love that I can basically smother this all over my face like a moisturiser with my fingers and it blends perfectly and looks great with zero effort. It also doesn’t cause any breakouts or irritation and my skin actually looks better when I take it off. So it’s perfect for the gym and lazy days.

I only tried some samples in 01 (Pink Beige) and it’s pretty decent. The color matches my skin tone and the look is natural with a little bit of dewy feeling to it. The texture is somewhat heavier than Hera’s UV mist cushion, so it does offer a bit more coverage.
My skin tends to get somewhat oily especially around the t zone after a few hours, so the perfect product to go with this cc cream is the GOSH prime n set primer & mattifying setting powder, which is a primer in a powdery form. This primer keeps my face looking fresh much longer. Those who have oily skin and don’t want to purchase another primer can try applying a thin layer of face powder before applying this cc cream (or any other liquid foundation) – a trick I learned from Wayne Goss on youtube.
The fragrance, just like the Hera UV mist cushion, is quite strong. Although it smells pretty nice I prefer fragrance free products, and that’s why I took a star off the overall rating.

A friend raved about this product and gave me some sample in 01 (pink beige). The colour was too pink for me, so I thought 02 (natural beige) should be my colour since my skin tone is more yellow. However, even 02 was too pink for me. Very disappointed that neither colour was a fit for me.
Color aside, I like the texture. It almost feels like liquid foundation. It hardly transfers, stays well on skin and gives light to medium coverage. The cream smells nice though I find it pretty strong for something I would put on my face. I’m used to using fragrance free stuff on my face.
I like the packaging. It comes in a tube with a pump. Looks classy and is hygienic. Easy to bring around.

This was a very decent CC cream. It’s definitely more of a BB cream in my opinion though since it offers a higher coverage than your standard CC cream. It has light to medium coverage and has a very beautiful natural-dewy finish. It also has a slightly strong perfumey scent which I wasn’t bothered by but if you are sensitive to scents in your products, please be aware of this.
It goes on your skin pretty smoothly and doesn’t look too obvious or cakey unless you build it up too much. My issue was that I felt like it didn’t give me the coverage that I desired. I have some pretty bad acne scarring and this cream just didn’t really cover that well. The oil control was just so-so as well. After about 3 hours I needed to repowder. I also felt that considering the hefty price tag, this really didn’t wow me enough for me to be able to justify the price. I felt that I had tried other BB creams in the past that were of similar quality to this.
That said, for those with relatively good skin I think this would be a really great match for you because it does give you a flawless finish. But for those who seek more coverage, this won’t cut it for you.

I love, love, love this CC Cream!!! I have finally found my HG product. I have it in 01 Light to Medium and it’s a perfect match for my NW15 skin tone. I use it on its own i.e. do not apply moisturiser underneath it. I find that I don’t need to as it’s moisturising enough on its own (if you have dry skin, you might need to moisturise though). It gives me light coverage, which I prefer, and spreads easily. I apply it with my fingers. I then set it with a light dusting of powder (t-zone only). It does not make me extra oily and it lasts all day. Yes, I need to blot, but I always need to blot during the day. What I love about it is the light and not matte ( sort of glowy and just perfect) coverage, the fact that it doesn’t clog pores or break me out and the fact that at the end of the day, my skin still looks lovely. It doesn’t look like I have applied lots of gunk to my skin. My skin just looks glowy. I definitely recommend this!
Update: I tried Pixi skintint and love that even more 🙂

I’ve been looking for a good drugstore CC cream for a while now – I have redness on my cheeks and a few blemishes here and there, and something that covers both while still feeling lightweight and natural? sign me up!
But this one – being the first one I got after looking at around three or four almost glowing reviews online – was a complete and utter disappointment.
I bought it in the shade ‘Light’ which I didn’t notice and thought that it was ‘Fair’. The latter is darker but I assumed I would be able to add a dollop of primer or something in order to even out the colour (I wouldn’t be able to do this anyway as the packaging is a tube), but the shade I got was actually lighter than the one I thought I would get and I was pleasantly surprised as I thought this only came in two shades.
It’s supposed to evenly blend into your skin tone – which it did on my hand – but when I applied it to my face with my RT Expert Face Brush (which usually does the trick just fine – better even) it still made my skin look orange as all hell.
The CC cream promises ‘matte radiance’ and I don’t know what SEVENTEEN meant by that because no – it’s not matte on my skin, more like a dewy finish – and it has little flecks of gold? In it? which I find very unappealing. No one else noticed them on my skin but me though, so if you don’t mind looking a bit like a disco ball in a mirror, then go for it.
The actual coverage of the product itself was alright, I suppose – it covered the redness a bit (around a little /less/ than my everyday foundation – which is bad) and my spots were covered, except for an exceptionally irritated one but nothing but concealer seemed to cover that up.
I needed concealer, too, which this is apparently supposed to do for you, so that’s a let-down as well. Although the product did stay on my face all throughout the school day (I took it off right when I got home as I didn’t want to look vaguely like an orange all day), which is why I gave it two lippies.
My advice? Save up for a better foundation/CC cream as this was only £6.99 and avoid this – it’ll do you good.

This CC cream is probably the only BB or CC cream that I feel comfortable wearing alone without foundation and i’m usually a full coverage girl. It provides great all over coverage and i’m left with even skin-tone and no residual redness and it has a beautiful finish. Light and flawless. I absolutely love this and can’t wait to repurchase.

i have this in the shade ‘light’, which works pretty well for my skintone (nw10).
pros:
– gorgeous dewy finish
– hydrates my skin (which is normal-to-dry and easily dried out by regular foundations)
– great colour match; normally i can’t use bb or cc creams because the lightest shades are either too dark or the wrong undertone
– fairly long-wearing; it’s not advertised as long-wearing but it does last about 6-7 hours when i use primer and set with powder
– the packaging is a squeeze tube with a very small opening, so the product doesn’t leak in storage
who do i recommend it for:
– drier skin types
– fair skintones, as the shades run light (as usual with bb/cc creams the shade selection is dismal)
– those of you who don’t need a foundation that wears like iron, or full coverage
this costs about 17 AUD at priceline. models prefer is priceline’s in house brand, so it’s exclusive to them.

I have finally decided to place an order for Em Cosmetics products while they were running a 20% sale items. I picked up a CC cream, a lipstick and a sparkly eyeshadow top coat. I must say I really like everything that I got, except for the lipstick color. It was in Nude Lace but looked completely 90s brown on me.
So on to the CC cream.
This stuff is awesome. $23 for 1 oz of a product is not terrible but it is a bit on a pricy side. Right now they are running a end of the year 50% off sale so I went back and ordered a back up because I loved the product so much.
I am NC 20 skin tone and the shade Fair was a spot on match for me (all three shades are with yellow undertones BTW). At first, when it came out of the tube and I applied it, I was almost dissapointed since it felt like a very light and liquidy tinted moisturizer. However, once it blended out my skin looked so lovely and fresh. I am someone who does not wear too much skin product on my face and I enjoy CC creams and powder foundations. I have a cobmination oily skin and this product kept my skin fresh and slightly dewy but not oily at all. When I used a separate concealer as always and applied my Josie Maran powder foundation, my complexion was flawless and semi matte.
If you have very oily skin, just use a mattifying primer over this CC cream or set it with oil controling powder.
If you have to cover a lot of blemishes, this CC cream is not for you since it is very, very light in coverage and feel.
If I were to compare this to another BB/CC cream, I’d have to say it reminds me very much of my beloved SuperGoop CC cream from Sephora which I absolutely adore. It is also up there in price for 1.6 oz, but now since I have em cosmetics CC cream as a back up, I think I’ll be fine for many many months!

This is a new product at Sally’s. Just like other CC and BB Creams, it did not work for my oily skin. It melts away and I honestly did not see any color correction. It looks thick when applied but then it melts away and then there is no coverage, except patchy and greasy trace of the product. I like the brand but this is nothing to write home about.

I recently bought Sleek CC cream in Medium and so far Im really impressed. I have been hunting for the perfect foundation shade and found this product in superdrugs. Its almost a perfect match to my skin. Its a really good quality cc cream. Its light weight and it gives a velvety/dewy finnish. I apply it with a beauty blender on clean, moisturised and primed skin. Its perfect for barefaced “makeup-no makeup” look. I actually prefer this one instead of foundation.
Great for those who are aiming for a natural airbrushed look and I can highly recommend it for those with darker skin tones. Some cc creams can give a slightly white cast and a lot of flash back. But this cream actually add warmth and radiance to the skin.
Great value for money and I will definitely purchase again

I bought this online thanks to the good reviews. The colour on the front of the bottle looked suitable pale for my fair skin but I was horrified when I received my order. The shade of this stuff is so dark. Even when I’m on holiday in a hot country for two weeks I’m not this colour! I had to buy white foundation to mix in with this so it’s an expensive mistake! As for the claims of boosting radiance, I think it definitely boosts radiance but doesn’t mattify my skin as claimed.

I really enjoy this cc cream. It has been my “go-to” since purchasing it a few months ago.
Although it is cc cream, it has fantastic (medium & buildable) coverage and doesn’t cling onto any of my dry patches, fine lines & what not. Fairly hydrating and gives a beautiful satin skin-like finish. What impresses me most is it’s beyond amazing staying power which outlasts some foundations even. Of course, its incredibly affordable price point & sanitary squeeze-tube packaging are plus points for me.
Only reason why I gave it 4 out of 5 stars – its somewhat limiting colour range. I bought it in “light” (lightest shade available in where I live) which is still too dark for me (for reference, I am a fair Chinese with neutral undertone).
But it ain’t daunting or impossible to make it work & I do so with my little bb/cc concoction – mixing it with etude house cc cream in glow (which is too light for me) and gerard cosmetics bb plus illumination creme (as we Asians are all about beautifully glow skin, lol..) – a match made in heaven for me <3.

Having not tried a CC cream before, I was expecting them to be much like BB creams… (Which I hadn’t been impressed with) But this Sleek CC cream is so, so much better! It gives an even, light-medium coverage. It makes skin look radiant and lightly dewy. For my dry skin it’s perfect and feels silly smooth on my skin. Having read that it lasts all day, I wouldn’t agree, but it lasts longer if you set it with a light powder.
The colour range seemed limited on first look, and I was worried the ‘fair’ night be too dark for my porcelain skin… But actually it blended in impressively.
I have to say, I’m really impressed with this product and will be wearing it all summer.

I am blown away by this stuff – it’s fantastic! I tried Sleek’s BB cream a while ago, and whilst I was impressed with it, the CC cream beats it hands down. Yes, I know BB and CC creams are different, but if it’s a choice, I’d pick Sleek’s CC every time.
Although I am in love with my Guerlain LDP foundation, more often than not I find myself reaching for Sleek CC as a foundation… it gives an incredible finish – it’s quite light and moisturising and yet does a fantastic job evening out skin tone and covering blemishes. It gives such a natural finish – slightly dewy and so natural – your skin but better. With the CC my routine is so simple, for everyday it’s all I need with a touch of concealer, and for night/occasion wear I add the works (contour, highlight, blush). I like to dot it on my face and then use a Beauty Blender on it – it takes minimal time and effort to work it and make it look fantastic – SO much less hassle than traditional foundations for me.
At this point the CC only comes in 4 colours. I use the fair, which has a neutral undertone, and thankfully works perfectly for me. I think that due to the consistency, texture, and blendablity of the CC, the limited colour selection shouldn’t really be a problem, but it might be something to consider if you typically have trouble colour matching your skin.
As someone with dry to super dry skin, this CC is incredible – it’s super moisturising, doesn’t cling to or create dry patches, gives a natural look, and holds fast and true all day. That said however, I don’t know how it would work for oilier skin types – although it’s so cheap trying it out certainly wouldn’t break the bank or be too disappointing if it didn’t work.
The value for money with this product to me is incredible – I think I bought it for £8 months ago, and it’s still lasting me – a little goes a long way, and the amount you get out is easy to control as it has a tiny squeeze nozzle. Packaging is simple – a small white rectangular tube with a black cap, unassuming and functional. I have to say, I’ve been very impressed by Sleek products on the whole, but this CC is on another level. I will DEFINITELY repurchase this stuff, it’s HG status for me!!!

This CC cream is really AMAZING for the price, I had been using Clinique Moisture Surge CC Cream before this & I actually fine the sleek one better. I wanted something with light coverage & a high SPF for summer and am now a bit gutted I forked out nearly £30 on the Clinique one when this is actually better & only cost £8.
It still has a high SPF of 29. The colour selection is smaller in the sleek CC cream but it does cover fair to dark complexions well I think. I am using fair, which is the lightest colour – it has a really good neutral undertone which blends with my skin perfectly, often I find them to be be too orange on my cool toned skin.
The texture is really nice & light & blends easily using a brush, sponge or fingers, where as the Clinique one is a bit more tricky to blend as it’s a thicker formula & has a slight tendency to cake.
The Sleek CC cream leaves me with a really bright, glowing complexion. It may not be suitable for those with oily skin but I’m more on the dry/dehydrated side & I really like it.
I’M SO MADE UP TO HAVE FOUND THIS PRODUCT I WILL BE USING IT EVERY DAY! 🙂

I love this stuff. It’s the only BB/CC-type cream that has never broken me out (which is never fun, but gets really old when you’re getting older) while giving me good medium and undetectable coverage. It stays on and — unlike every other cream foundation I’ve ever tried — I cannot feel that it’s on my face, which for me is a major deal-breaker for foundations.
The color choices are limited, but it blends in so quickly and completely that even that isn’t an issue. I apply it over my moisturizer, finish off with a little powder, and I’m good to go all day. It doesn’t change color after application, doesn’t accentuate fine lines, and does make my skin look good-good-good.
Everybody’s skin is different, but mine loves this foundation and so do I. For as long as it’s available, I can’t imagine using anything else.

This really didn’t do anything to mattify my super-oily skin. (It’s not billed as mattifying, but my rep said it might help.) It also broke me out. It has 2-3 different types of dimethicones in it, so if you’re sensitive to that, stay away. Try MK’s mattifying foundation instead. No, I’m not a MK rep; read my other reviews.

I really wanted to like this product but it was just ok. I found it only adds light coverage and it doesn’t live up to any of the skin benefits. I found it made my dry skin feel drier and I prefer the Marcelle BB creams which are a lot more moisturizing than this. I think this product would be better worn under foundation rather than alone. The packaging was good since it comes in a bottle with a pump. I would not repurchase since it was not cheap and didn’t live up to its claims.

Oh wow, sometimes it’s good to give into temptation! I wanted this product since I first saw it in the stores because of its ultra gorgeous white rectangular bottle and handy pump. So on a whim I purchased it yesterday because I needed a lift.
Today I wore it instead of my usual SPF moisturizer under foundation routine.
Well, I saved myself a step and gained a gorgeous complexion in the process! I can’t attest to any of the claims on the packaging but I have always liked Marcelle for their cruelty-free status and their very soft but effective eye makeup remover pads.
This CC cream goes on like a foundation, but smooths out in an instant and provides me with great but not suffocating coverage. This evens out my skin tone and makes me radiant. I add some powder, and I’m ready to face the day with SPF 35, what more could a person ask for?
I’m very happy with this purchase and I daresay this will become my go-to foundation for years.

I normally use nars tinted moisturizer which is my HG but it doesnt have spf in it and well I wanted to try something new after hearing everyone raving about bb and cc creams the color light-med was lovely (i wear groenland in nars tm) the texture was a bit heavy and hard to spread with my foubdation brush (coukd be due to the sunscreen) it evened out skin nicely and felt moisturizing but a bit heavy on my skin. If you have any acne or scars you will still need concealer. I wont repurchase this but will use it on days I will be out in the sunshine for extended period of time. Spf 35.

PROS: Helps neutralize my very ruddy patches in my neutral (barely leaning warm) skin and, hence, makes my color look sso much pretier once my TM or foundation is applied.. Satin finish (NO shimmer). Leaves me with a very small amount of moisture in my skin throughout the day, which I like. (More oily skin, see “application tips.”) .
Can use this under my eyes without making my eyes look hideous, like most foundations do.
Kind to my very sensitive, very reactive, early rosacea skin.
Paraben-free, cone-free, paraben-free.
CONS: If you’re looking for a foundation and/or want any decent coverage, you won’t want a CC cream by itself, at least not this one (see application tips for applying this under foundation, which is what people do when they want more coverage than a CC cream alone.) If you just need to neutralize and not cover any imperfections, you may like this applied by itself.
Some won’t like that it doesn’t have an SPF. I personally like to use my own spf under this, because almost all chemical SPFs, EXCEPT for the one in my BalmShelter TM, burn my skin a bit and the physical ones look terrible in my wrinkles/pores, so I’m very picky about which ones I put on my skin.)
Looked good at first but, within an hour, REALLY settled in my large pores and accented my wrinkles. Also highlighted dry patches.
For oily people, I don’t know this would work, at least not without powder setting it (see application tips).
COLORS: Affordable enough that I can mix two colors (a bit of “CC1” and mostly “CC2”) in the winter when I’m most pale and I’m NC15-20. (I run quite neutral with just a hint of warmth.) In the summer, I use just “CC3” when I’m about NC25+.
APPLICATION TIPS: When checking the color out, it was great for me to actually apply it to my face to test the color because it is a CC cream that is for neutralizing color issues, so it kind of melds into the skin color. In other words, I couldn’t hold up a swatch of this to my skin and know that it would work on my face. I did one side with and one side without, left it on for 3 hours, and was still very pleased.
OF COURSE, a very popular use of CC cream is to use it UNDER FOUNDATION as a sort of primer and color corrector.
I let my moisturizer/spf soak in a while before applying this; I do NOT apply this right after my spf. I would think it would just lay on top of the spf and look pretty bad.
Because of my large pores, I like to pat this INTO pores, making sure they are filled completely, and then smooth on with fingers. But I use a very light touch with the beauty blender, or the beauty blender will soak up all the product. I then wait just a couple of minutes, while I do another part of my makeup, and then come back and pat in the product that’s setling in my pores.
You can use Covergirl Advanced Radiance Age-Defying powder (which is so kind to my wrinkles) after this product sets a bit to make it last longer.
REMOVAL TIPS: If you are prone to clogging, you may want to remove this with a cleansing oil before using your regular cleanser.
PURCHASING TIPS: You can buy it online at Nordstrom.com, loraccosmetics.com, Sephora, ULTA, Amazon, and even HSN has some LORAC products. My local ULTA, Sephora and Kohl’s carries LORAC, so I get to try out products using the testers. But I know Nordstrom is great about online returns with free shipping both ways.
ALTERNATES: TheBalm has a lovely TM called BalmShelter that does much better in my pores and wrinkles. I’ve recently found something that is the best thing for my wrinkles and pores I’ve EVER tried, Cover Girl AquaSmooth SPF 15 foundation

This product does everything it claims to do! For people who want a more sheer coverage — A LOT GOES A LONG WAY!! I did not have to use a lot (Just a pea size amount for my entire face!!) My experience with this product is that if you use more, you will have a difficult time buffing it into your skin. My skin is very sensitive to silicone, oils, parabens etc. so I definitely love all of the Lorac products that do not contain any of these-particularly this product. I have mild rosacea redness on my cheeks and chin and this product hides the redness without looking cakey. I like to first apply, “I’m so sensitive” primer to my face, then mix a little bit of medium cc cream with my Lorac light foundation on my hand and stipple and buff all over my face because I feel that it applys easier that way. I did this because the medium color alone was a little too dark for my face – but the light tone was too light.
I think this is a nice product to have on hand because it does give a nice airbrushed look to my skin and definitely evens out any uneven skin tones on my face. I like to have two shades on hand so that in the summer when I get a tan on my face, I can mix shades to perfectly match my tone. I would buy this again!!
