This product is beautiful for a no makeup look, whilst covering what you need it to.
I have found the best way to get a full coverage is to just tap the brush straight into the pot over the mesh lining, pick up the product and apply to the face pressing it on and then gently buffing once you have the coverage you’re looking for.
Using the swirl and tap technique recommended won’t give you any coverage and will also lift any concealer you had put down first.
The new design of the pot and lid means there is no room to swirl the brush around anyway, you would need to tip the product into a different lid which is messy and a hassle.
If you can make it work then it is really good! Takes a bit of practice at first to get the coverage you are after.

I just have to say THANK GOD for this foundation. First, I have extremely oily skin and this is the only powder I don’t wear through, it actually keeps me relatively dry throughout the day, even without a primer, which I attribute to the Salicylic Acid in it. Second, it’s one of the only foundations that doesn’t make my skin breakout! Most foundations, including others in the BM line, clog my pores, but not this! I love the coverage and the color is a great match for my fair skin. I wouldn’t necessarily say it helps with acne, however, since I’m not as oily I have noticed my skin having less large breakouts! I ran out of this product and went back to using my BarePro liquid foundation- huge mistake, broke out for two weeks. I finally ran back to the store and stocked up on this amazing product! Won’t go a day without it now!

I have used the BareMinerals original foundation for years and wanted to try this, I don’t suffer from acne but I do get the odd blemish. Unfortunately I wouldn’t repurchase this, not because it is a bad product, but I just think the original is much better. The blemish remedy coverage does seem more difficult to build up, and it seems less forgiving on dry patches. Therefore this is probably best suited to someone with oily skin rather than combination or normal. A major plus point of this one is the packaging – mess free and so convenient!

I have nasty combo skin, with acne. This didn’t clear up my skin, but it didn’t hurt it either. This matches my skin really well, and it reduces pore size. It does take a lot of effort into blending it, but it blends, so it’s good. I’ve never had much luck with powder foundation, or acne fighting makeup. It just dries out my face or breaks me out. This, however, is fabulous. I wear it on top of Maybelline Dream Fresh BB cream. It gives an impressive coverage for a powder foundation. The packaging is beautiful, and its innovative design solves the old issue of wasting loose powders. I love it. It’s not terribly priced, for a more high end foundation.

I really liked the feel of this one. I felt like it had good coverage for me.

I should probably start off by saying I haven’t liked powder foundation in a very long time. I usually use liquid. I bought this because I’ve been into trying a lot of new things, my skin was breaking out bad a few months back and my classmate said it “covered everything”. I bought it on Macy’s.com and got a beige shade. It was kind of light but my mistake for ordering online. And I think it’s around $27. The smell was ok, kind of strong at first. I don’t like the packaging; it’s a small circle with a screen and you press your brush down into it and get product onto it and tap off excess. I did about two coats (concealer first) and felt like it was minimum coverage and I like medium-full. I stopped using it for awhile but when my skin was getting oily and breaking out a little so I would do a layer of this and then a layer of my liquid on top and I felt good knowing I had a layer of stuff with tea tree and something to kind of soak up the oil as well as another layer of coverage. I haven’t done this in awhile but in order to use this up ill use it that way when needed. Would not repurchase.
Update: removed a star. I saw this the other day in my stuff and said I needed to use it up. I wore it twice in a row to work. Barely covered anything on my cheeks and completely disappeared on my nose! I’ve never noticed that before with a foundation. I don’t even think my skin is that oily. I will either use this as extra coverage under liquid foundation or as a setting powder until it is used up and like I said before, will NOT repurchase.

Just moved to Austin recently and the summer has made me break out like a 15 year old. After trying endless bb creams, I finally settled on mineral makeup. While the regular Bareminerals foundations made me break out, this formula seems to keep the acne at bay and even dries out my oily skin (which is a plus for me). Lasts all day and is easier to apply than the regular mineral makeup (and doesn’t look cakey).

This didn’t do anything for my acne or oily skin and made my face flaky. Coverage was good- about medium coverage. The packaging is pretty ridiculous, it’s larger than the original foundation but mostly lid. I’ve used it 3x a week for about 3 weeks and I’m already halfway out.

This is working very well so far! The coverage is medium, which is just what I was hoping for – and I use a concealer brush to add a little more to persistent spots that need a bit of extra coverage. I have used the regular BE foundation and found that, after a few hours, it would start to look cracked and uneven and blotchy. But this lasted all day, even in extreme heat and humidity, without any touchups and without breaking down or settling into lines. I also found that I needed only a very small amount to get the coverage I needed – far less product than I’ve had to use with the regular BE.
I’m very pale with cool undertones, and the lightest color works alright for me. It’s a tiny bit too dark, but once I applied it and dusted a bit of mineral veil over it, it was a nice match. It looked a touch warm in the container, but once I applied it I found the color to be much more neutral. I’m in my mid-50s with almost no wrinkles and mostly oily skin that still has a tendency toward being sensitive and breakout-prone. That can make it challenging to find the right products, because age-targeted products just aren’t for me, but clearly my skin is a little different than it was a few decades ago!
I’ve been using mostly mineral foundations for the past 10 years, and when my old standby (the L’Oreal Bare Naturale pressed minerals) was discontinued and my stash ran out, I started looking around for a replacement. It’s been a long journey, with no successes – just a string of different pressed and loose mineral foundations (Sephora, Laura Geller, MAC, and many others) that left me with breakouts, weird dry patches, clogged pores, and other horror stories. After a few days with this, my skin is starting to calm down, and I can only hope that I’ve found my new foundation!
The container is a bit strange, with the mesh circle in the center. I don’t use the brush that is designed to go with it, but I have been using a synthetic foundation brush that I got at Kohl’s. It has worked well, giving me the coverage I need without dust flying everywhere. But sometimes I need to dab the brush into the mesh circle a few times, and sometimes I pick up too much. So I guess I have to adjust to the delivery method and perfect my technique. It does seem like it will work well for traveling, because the lid will keep the powder under control.
Here’s hoping that this continues to work! After all of these experiments and flirtations, I am ready to settle down and be a one-foundation gal.

I have tried the original formula and the matte formula, both broke me out. This formula is holy grail status for me. It keeps my oils at bay, covers well, and doesn’t make my face look pasty and dehydrated. Also, I have had no breakouts, even in this 90 degree weather. I will say that I did go back and get the brush that was designed to go with this. It really made a difference coverage wise. Great stuff.
