I wanted to like this because of the nice ingredients, decent neutral light shade that didn’t seem too cool or too warm… and the bottle is cute with a convenient pump. However, this has to be one of the worst foundations I’ve ever used, just because of how it makes my skin look after it’s applied. I’m not sure which ingredient is causing this, but it exaggerates every pore and just looks awful. I have combination skin (mostly dry), for reference. I tried applying in different ways and nothing seems to help the outcome.

I really wanted to like this foundation after seeing all the positive reviews here and on YouTube, but I just can’t get on board. I’ve never been a fan of dewy foundations because I feel as if my skin is in a humid climate 24/7. I thought since this said it was long lasting, I wouldn’t feel dewy. I was wrong. It does feel very moisturizing which may be great for very dry skin. I find that dewiness leads to the foundation transferring like crazy and wearing off within the first two hours. Definitely not long lasting. It also creases a ton on me despite trying primer and setting spray. It didn’t break me out which was the only positive. Will not repurchase and I have no desire to see if this improves the look of my skin over 6 weeks as one of their claims.

If anybody had told me I would be able to get a foundation that’s so like Estee Lauder Double Wear, but pay only $16 bucks for it, I would have assumed it was made with dirt from the city dump and weeds from the sides of the freeways. However, I now own a foundation that’s very much like my beloved Double Wear, and I did indeed pay only $16 for it! It’s Pacifica Alight Clean Foundation. Double Wear and Pacifica Alight have some of the same ingredients, but they are not dupes. They are both high quality foundation formulations that look like skin, last until they’re removed, and make skin look perfect. Double Wear is more watery and lightweight, and it blends in quickly. Alight is somewhat thick, and mousselike, and as it’s being applied on skin it looks like it’s going to be a mask that’s 5 shades too light.
But – after a couple of seconds, Something magic happens with Alight…you can see it change before your very eyes…it suddenly just becomes part of my skin. It’s like a sheet of perfect skin melted into my own skin and now my own skin looks shockingly good. 27 WM is an excellent shade for me. This has that beautiful, professional looking finish that Double Wear has, and it can be layered or thinned like Double Wear. One difference, though, is that Alight seems a bit more moisturizing, so it needs to be set with a spray or a powder, yet Alight looks more like natural skin.
I tell you, you just can’t go wrong with Alight foundation…especially for the price. I feel incredibly fortunate to have a company like Pacifica available that makes not only vegan, talc-free, environmnetally responsible products, but they are beautiful and fun. I’m having a ball using crystal serums and gemstone eyeshadows and flower garden skin care….what could be better?
I am loving this foundaion. I think I’ll post a picture of my look in it. I think it makes me look younger. Seriously.

Rivals foundations costing 3x as much. Nice shade range for drugstore. Clean ingredients, too…

Can’t believe no one has reviewed this yet! I just got this last week after someone suggested it to me. I avoid silicones in my skincare and makeup because they break me out and this does not have any.
At first I tried pacificas other foundation the crystal blur- it was awful it caked up and looked so obvious I was wearing foundation. So I was scared to try another but I finally did at Ulta and I could not believe it! This one is not at all like the crystal blur. This covers so well and looks so even and smooth. On me it is a dewy to natural radiant finish but I’m oily and acne prone. It lasts all day on me but it does have a tendency to move if you touch your face even the slightest bit. It never really feels like it settles. But I read reviews that it settle in peoples lines and I have not noticed that at all. It does not dry me out or accentuate dry patches. It comes in 30 shades as well which is a big improvement for Pacifica.
This is a fabulous foundation if you also avoid silicones. It does have coconut which can break people out but coconut does not break me out for some reason. It also is a really good price and comes in a nice glass bottle with a pump. I think it performs as well as high end foundations I’ve tried. Would recommend everyone who is not sensitive to coconut try this!
