I agree with the first review that this gel liner is just average. I also own one from NYX and I don’t experience any better results with the Anastasia. The formula is matte and opaque, but it is not smudge proof. The outer corner of my eye is where I have issues with longevity and fading.

Opaque, bold , intense color – yes. the color is really great. really really black.
Long lasting coverage – nope and definitely not smudge proof. In less than an hour, i already have some of the color wearing off under my eyes. It was definitely due to the eyeliner because i did not put any other eyeliner, eyeshadow or mascara on. By the end of the day, it was already halfway fading off. Consider topping it up throughout the day to make sure that you have a decent looking eyeliner on your eyes.
Also, it felt like it takes a village to clean it off. Messy and no matter how many wipes i made with cleanser etc, there would still be some color remaining on my eyes area or face.
On a good note, after using this more than a year. It is still in good condition and did not dry off.

I needed a good gel liner to line the lash line. I’ve been using kat von D tattoo liner for years and while I love it, I run out fairly quickly and it tends to migrate under the eye after working 12 hour shifts. I have tried Bobbi Brown, Smashbox, and other pot gel liners and I haven’t been that impressed, until now. The ABH pot liner is amazing. I like to apply a heavy upper lined look and this didn’t move for my entire 12 hour shift. When I take off my makeup, I have to really scrub to get this off my eyes. I love it. I’ve been wearing it now for a few weeks so I don’t know yet if the pot will dry out on me. Most likely it will just because there’s so much product, it would take me years to use it up. I can’t believe it’s only $18 too. You would pay double for other high end brands that don’t last half as long as this.

so far, i’m not sure if i’m particularly impressed with this. it seems like an average cream eyeliner. while it does give a very pigmented, matte line, its claims of being smudgeproof are total bullshit. i put on this liner to test it out and three hours later, before i took it off, tried smudging it with my finger. it rubbed off with just a light touch! i haven’t tested the waterproof claim yet, however. but i have very watery eyes during the day, so i’ll probably come back and update this on how it goes. for now, however… this isn’t the quality i’ve come to expect from ABH. i’m not really wowed or anything. 🙁
