Disappointing buy. Got it on impulse as I wanted a purple liner. I used to use Bonne Bell pencil liners that were 99 cents and far superior to this. It does not give a defined, pigmented line. The only way I can use it is to lay down a line of thick color above my lashes and blend a bit then do a thin line of black or grey liquid liner (L’Oreal Infallible The Superslim which is awesome) close to my upper lashes. However that is not a necessity….just trying to find some use for a useless liner. Don’t waste your money on a liner that barely shows on on NC15 skin & is non pigmented.

This was a great product. It provides a really nice definiton to the lash line. They key with this is to not put it around the whole eye, but only around the corners. It looks great when paired witha lengthing and volumizing mascara

I swatched this on my hand at the MAC store and loved it, but when i put it in my waterline, there was no color payoff. For the price and quantity of product, it was a waste of money. I returned it asap.

So I was excited to finally get a color eyeliner instead of the usual black. I always use graphblack in the technokohl liner. So the MA suggested purple dash and it looked great on the back of my hand, but when I went home to put it on, it felt like I was using the whole pencil to get the color to be noticeable on me. I have olive skin and dark brown eyes so I was hoping the purple would make my eyes pop. It’s not a vibrant enough purple to do that. Anyone on have any other suggestions on other MAC purple eyeliner that’s more vibrant and doesn’t look so dull when it’s worn?

This liner is more of a pink based purple than a blue based purple (think MAC powerpoint in Permaplum). MAC describes it as intense aubergine. The technakohl is not as creamy as the eye kohl liners so they go on drier with some tugging. It’s in the mechanical pencil form, and the tip broke during application, but maybe I had too much of it exposed. I wore Purple Dash on my lower lashline which I rarely do from fear of smudging. Miraculously, I didn’t have any smudging. I will not repurchase because I prefer a creamier formula.

I love the Technakohl liners. I don’t like pencil liner or liquid liner. This eyeliner smudges easily and glides on smooth. The color is great. It is a nice alternative to my usually brown eyeliner.

I bought Purple Dash to go with my It’s A MIracle e/s, and am not quite sure what to think of it. It is too light to be my daily eyeliner, but it does look good on the inner lid, waterline and saturated into my eyelashes. As allways with the Technakohl liners, I like the easy to blend qualities and that it doesn’t bother eyes in any way. But I do wish the color was more intense and stood out more than it does. I would think about repurchasing, but as of now, I’m not ready to make that kind of commitment with this product.

I was expecting so much more.. I was hoping for something creamy, that will last on my waterline with a rich purple color.
This was neither of those requirements. It’s comparable to the mineral liner by Avon. With a 10$ price difference, I don’t see why you would bother with the MAC.

Oh what a disappointing purchase. I bought this on impulse and now I wish I hadn’t. I wanted to use it to line the bottom lashes. I usually do purple or blue for that look so I wanted to try this plum, smouldering-looking liner. What a mistake. The pigmentation isn’t very good and it looks so dull and dead against my skin. The staying power is also pretty awful. Doesn’t last through the day and I end up having to reapply at lunchtime. Pretty expensive too but I love the shiny, gorgeous look of the liner. 🙁 I think I will stick to Auto-de-Blu for Technakohl liner! This is definitely a waste of money!

I love, love, love me some Purple Dash! This is a staple in my daily make-up routine, this is the only eye makeup I wear other than mascara. Purple Dash compliments my fair skin and hazel eyes. I do need to reapply though, it tends to fade by mid-afternoon. Otherwise, it’s a good eyeliner.
