This mad max brown is quite dark and looks more towards a black but not as harsh as a full black liner. It is easy to apply, and it’s the first liner I’ve used that increased my confidence in eye lining again. It is quick to draw, easy to take off as well. Stays on the whole day.

Since I’m usually in a rush when doing my makeup, I love liner pens, and I prefer those with brushes rather than felt-tips–I think they give a slightly softer look. I’d been using MAC Brushbrown (has a slightly shiny finish) and LORAC Pro Liquid (unreliable component). Enter KVD. Mad Max Brown is a deep, extremely (and I mean extremely) matte brown that isn’t too red-based. The component is very nice–the brush is great, the flow of product to the brush is reliable, and the size makes it easy to apply. However, I find the consistency of this liquid liner fairly thick (maybe the one I got was not very fresh), which means the brush doesn’t glide across the lid as Brushbrown does. Because of this, mistakes are far more noticeable (although, in the interest of full disclosure, I have a fairly heavy hand). If I make a mistake and correct it with a micellar-water-soaked Q-Tip, what’s removed can flake and fall under the eye. Also, the extreme matteness of the liner is something of a black hole–it seems to suck the light from my eyes if I do a slightly thicker line. I wish I could combine the MAC and KVD liners, because it would make the perfect formula for me. Overall, though, this is a very good, high-quality product with a great brush, and well worth the price. I don’t do winged liner, but I think the brush and formula would be ideal for that. I will continue to use this in the hope that practice will improve my technique, because I really think the issues I’m having are caused by me, not the product, and will alternate with Brushbrown depending on the look I’m after. I have already repurchased.

I am terrible at wing liner, and this product makes it the easiest so far. It allows me to create a thin line, and have control with how I draw it. I love the color brown; it’s not too warm. It is also wonderful for tight-lining. The only issue I’ve had with it is it comes off a bit after I use my eyelash curler; I deal with this by curling my lashes, using the liner, then using mascara.

Well as usual KVD products prove for me to be either really love..or not so much. Fortunately this Mad Max Brown tattoo liner is a love for me. I love that I can apply a thin line easily, smoothly, and evenly. Easy to get a precise line and not have liner end up in areas I don’t want. Seriously, it is the year 2016, why can’t more companies do this? Cap is very secure yet not so crazy tight that I feel like I need a pair of pliers to remove. I do shake this prior to each use. I like this for everyday looks or days I want a lighter makeup look. Or any time I want liner, but not jet black. Accents eyes as well as a black liner for me yet not as bold. This does not last during the day for me as well as the black tattoo liner (that thing stays on for hours and hours without budging nor smudging), but as a brown liquid type of eyeliner, this works amazingly very well. Very pleased. Would repurchase.
