I guess I must’ve been lucky with these, as none of those I’ve gotten have been dry (I’ve owned 6 in total: 3 black ones, one grey, one gold, one dark green). I like these because they are very smooth (no pulling at my eyelashes) and deposit a good amount of color. On me, they last well without smudging, all day. The only thing I dislike is that the pencils need to be sharpened – twist-ups are always more practical IMO. Would buy again!

Wow. I really, really wanted to love these; I found a set of four at TJ Maxx for $10, black, brown, purple, gray. I don’t know if they were old or what, but they were very dry and hard to put on at all; even tried applying before eyeshadow, not any better. I have many better pencils than these; currently fond of the Pixi Endless Silky ones. Oh, and I think the Cargo ones made my eyes feel teary too. I returned to the store.

The best nude tightliner for my very allergic, “runny” waterline. Don’t really know about darker colors for the waterline but nude beach is the only one I have ever found to grab on and not disappear within 5 minutes! Very, very pleased it also doesn’t irritate my allergies. My HG, for sure.

Ok, I’m gonna do my good deed for the month and save one of you desperate wenches from buying this in spite of the great rating it has (inexplicably!). Don’t be fooled by the clever name! Not sure how any company, in good conscience, can call something that refuses to stay on the waterline for 15 minutes, “Swimmable”
I have tried many, MANY eyeliners in the last year, and this was one of the worst. Seriously, I can think of 3 drugstore liners that last better both on the waterline and in general. It also takes itself off if you have to layer it, and flakes off a little as it wears. And it doesn’t just fade off the waterline like some pencils do, it comes off ugly (and y’all know what I mean by that). It’s one of those pencils that only stays on your lashes. I don’t know how this would last for a day at the pool when it won’t look presentable for 1 hour in my work day.
Most unswimmable!

I was amazed how smooth and long lasting this pencil is! The Spring/Summer collection of colors (Australia) has a few a with a ‘micro shift’ look and they are just gorgeous. I usually use Urban Decay; in fact I own about 22 colors mostly bought in kits. I’ll be collecting more of these! You really need a heavy duty remover – like Clinique take the day off, but it comes with the territory!

This eyeliner is probably the closest to HG that I’ve ever seen! I love everything about it.
I bought the Swimmables liner in Grey Lake while it was on sale; this color, although it’s labeled grey, is more black than grey. After using it for several weeks, I haven’t been able to tell the difference between Grey Lake and another actual black eyeliner. So, it’s great for everyday wear.
The part that intrigued me the most was the “Swimmables” aspect; I’m a synchronized swimmer, and I’ve grown incredibly skeptical to just about every single waterproof claim that has ever been printed onto any cosmetic. The pigmentation is impeccable, and the texture is the smoothest and creamiest that I’ve ever seen in a pencil liner. That, to me, usually hints at poor staying power (ahem, Buxom). However, that wasn’t the case here. This eyeliner does not budge for anything, not even after a solid 16 hours of wear with a primer. It’s relatively blendable, but it only allots a small window of opportunity before it sets for good. I’m sure it would work just as well even without primer, but I don’t want to risk that. Swimmables has survived pool time, fits of emotion, mid-winter Jacuzzi time, and even a shower, accidentally. That’s pretty damn incredible.
The only thing about this eyeliner that keeps it from achieving full HG status is its packaging. It’s one of those that has to be sharpened, like an actual pencil. Swimmables, unfortunately, falls victim to this faillite and is prone to breakage and uneven, incomplete sharpening. Oh well, I guess that’s a travail that I just have to deal with.
I don’t mind the price; it’s $18, which, in comparison, is pretty good for a high end eyeliner. You receive a lengthy pencil, too, so there’s enough eyeliner to give you a pretty long run for your money. I’m sure there are other great colors in the collection, too. Overall, I love, love, love this eyeliner! I highly recommend!

Great stuff! Just in time for a sweaty summer. I have big issues with eyeliner smudging, from Bobbi Brown and MAC gel to Colorstay. I’m always on the hunt for easy liners that stay put on my waterline and are cheaper than Chanel. Enter Swimmables. The line contains black, grey, eggplant, dark brown and nude versions. I own Pebble Beach, a lovely dark greyish brown and Pfeiffer Beach, a purpley/grey shade. The dark brown looks better on me, as the eggplant tends to pull a bit red which doesn’t flatter my light yellow skin and hazel eyes as much. It really, really stays put with no noticeable smudging at all after a long day. Fading was minimal. It actually stays on my watery waterline! I like this better than my beloved Chanel and Vasanti liner, which seemed to be inconsistent over time. I recently bought another Chanel one and it smudged and faded noticeably after the two before did not. I am converting to this!
