It’s definitely not the best pen that I have tried so far, but it has fair value the only concern that I have is that it is a little dry on the tip and you need to shake it or at least “wet it” it seems to be a problem, other than that it’s fine staying power is superb, and it’s black.o

Bought this last week and trying it out. Very fine line.
Pros cheap easy to use.
Cons Not as black as some people might like
the longer felt tip may cause flow issues, but for the 3 dollar price
may not be a huge deal. Update ink stopped flowing to the tip. Only when I pressed down on the side was able to get a mark. But don’t see this working. The regular pen is fine.

Darkness: ehh, good enough
Applicator: I LOVE THIS IT’S SO EASY TO USE LIKE YES PLEASE
Worth: You don’t get much product but for $2 it’s enough
formula: The first time I used it was sticky but that stopped after a while. It hasn’t dried up yet but it’s less dark than it used to. It completely gets destroyed in water so not so good on my ultra watery eyes. Doesn’t smear much unless water.
I recommend for something cheap with a good applicator

I’ve bought at least 5 of these and have a few back ups. It’s super cheap ($3) but if you use them every day I like I do it won’t last longer than 3 months, which actually is pretty good value if you do the math. It’s a pretty pigmented black but but’s definitely not the blackest eyeliner out there. The method I use when working this product is to lightly stamp the skinny tip to the top of my eyelid and continue until I reach the outer corner. Doing this makes sure I have the skinniest line at the inner corner and then I retrace it for the fullest pigmentation. With that said, it does take some time and effort to get the method down (the reason I took off a lippie) but for my college girl budget, it’s worth it!

I had high hopes for this when I first bought it (waterproof version). I found the tip too long and somewhat floppy (the regular tip is better but they were out of stock at my store). It needed lots of tipping to re-wet the tip during application (I’m a newbie and eyeliner takes me a lot of strokes and time.)
Going over already laid down liner to make it thicker or darker does NOT work if it has already set – it takes itself back off if you make two passes.
It did last a long time on me, but totally flaked off of my daughter within a couple of hours.
The nail in the coffin is that the tip dried out after only a handful of uses. Did it not like being applied over eyeshadow and got caked up? I don’t know! I tried cutting off the tip, but that was just a disaster.
Nope and nope.
I like a lot of Essence, but not this.

I love this eyeliner and have repurchased 4x. I like the ultra fine tip and find that this has good staying power. I have not had any issues with opaqueness like the others, and find this comparable to more expensive liners. I use this to make a winged tip starting from the outside corner of my eye going inwards. If I apply good steady pressure, I do not need to go over the line again and get a solid line the first time. Because it has a very fine tip, you need to apply steady pressure to get opaqueness. Otherwise you may get a faint line like the others have said. I think it is more of a problem with the technique of application as opposed to the product.
This costs $3. My only complaint is that if you do not snap the cover on tightly, it comes off in your makeup bag and the pen dries out, so you need to make sure to push the cap on all the way.

It’s one of my favourite felt liners. I bought the MAC one and it doesn’t even compare.
It lasted for about two months, so you’ll have to repurchase often, but it’s so cheap that you don’t even mind.

Bought Essence of beauty eyeliner both pen and liquid ink eyeliner.
Basically I am going to do compassion between the two. I loved the super fine eyeliner pen texture, colour and applicator which is quite thin and study while applying specially the wing eye and it lasted quite decent time say about seven to eight hours in such a humid weather also.didn’t notice change in colour or texture.May be I noticed slight crack that also may be I rubed with my hand.
Whereas very much dispointment with liquid ink it did not even stayed for two hours and start showing cracks on eyelid.
The cost for both is very much same. AED 20 (Usd approx 6).
The image which you see is after eight hours of application with eyeliner pen.

I got this in my Oct 2016 Ipsy. I was so excited to try it (please*** don’t try it at the store nor the MU removers! Ew. No wonder I buy MAC or Sephora.com), ok so back to the review it is very dried out already (1 use?). The tip is unwieldy & too long. I just didn’t like it. I’ll use it up. But I won’t buy it. Store it tip facing down to get the gravity flowing. I have a feeling I will be sticking w my MAC liquidlast no that little guy does not go dry already before you even applied it once & that little guy does not disappoint like this. Bummer yeah I was looking forward to using this most when I got my ipsy. Essence has some good stuff like the waterproof liquid liner, gel liner, brow kit etc but this is 1 of their less stellar offering. :-/

I actually really liked this eyeliner pen and am kind of shocked at its low average rating. The ink that comes out of this is super black, even when pressed lightly, and I only have to do one layer to get a smooth black line. This product is not at all patchy. I find it very easy to control the pen and make successful wings and lines of various thicknesses dependent on my mood. I had no issues with this product fading, but I have dry skin and eyelids so this may have helped. This product is not waterproof so will give you panda eyes in the shower but it does need to be removed with a proper makeup remover. This product is extremely well priced and a great quality compared to some other drugstore eyeliner pens on the market. I will finish and repurchase.

I wanted so badly to love this. It’s three dollars and I can get it at the drugstore, and I wish it were good, but it really isn’t. When I first put it on it wasn’t at all opaque, but I thought that for the price I would make it work, but then after about an hour of wear I looked in a mirror and noticed that it had already started to wear off! Also, it does not dry down. Ever. I rubbed my eye a few hours after I had put it on, and the whole wing came off. Not smudged, but rubbed off so there was absolutely no product left. And if you put lot on (because it isn’t opaque), it just turns into a sticky smudgy mess be cause it. will. not. dry. A waste of three dollars.
