Érable (translation: maple) is one of four eyeliners in Chanel’s Fall 2015 Les Automnales collection. I have had issues with Chanel eyeliners in the past (mainly with smudging) so I was hesitant, but I read a blog which stated that Chanel recently improved their formula. The blogger was right – this eyeliner is fantastic! It goes on easily, without tugging or smudging, and it stays put until you take it off – no fading, smudging or smearing. Érable is a beautiful medium bronze-brown with subtle shimmer. It’s simply gorgeous and makes my hazel eyes really stand out.
Update: there is a real problem with this eyeliner, one that made me change my review to “will not repurchase” – it’s very, very difficult to sharpen. There is a sharpener attached to the end (you just pull it out) but almost every time I use it, the pencil breaks off! And since it is so slim, none of my regular sharpeners work. Too bad.
