I have this in the trio for brown eyes. My eyes are green but I liked the colors in this set better. It comes with a purple, dark brown, and black liner. The colors are very creamy and pigmented. They hold up all day, even in my waterline. I paid $12 for these at Ulta, which comes out to $4 per liner. Highly recommend if you have oily lids! I will definitely repurchase.

I bought the trio in “Nude” which includes Champagne, Pewter, and Black. I read a lot of great reviews and I was always interested in trying out the set myself.
I love all three colours and can wear them all solo for whatever outfit I’m wearing that day. Although I have brown eyes I didn’t want to get that specific trio as I wouldn’t wear the purple regularly. The nude set is great in that sense as I can fully make use of them all. It would be great as some other users said if they sold them individually too!
It definitely lasts on my eyelids and doesn’t smudge once it sets. It’s very smooth and easy to use and doesn’t take a lot of time as one smooth glide of the pencil does the job. Liquid eyeliner pains me as I take forever and I’m not too great at it atm so these are a much better option for me. I didn’t even realize there was a sharpener on the bottom of the pencil which is pretty handy!
The only thing I wish was different was the actual tube/packaging as I’m worried I’ll accidentally smash the tip of the pencil with the lid when opening and closing it.

I like these alot. I am always on the look out for eye makeup made with more natural ingredients that is affordable. These stay on well throughout the day with little to no smudging for me. I do wish they sold the colors individually instead of in threes. The price is good but I have to buy colors I don’t want to purchase to by the one I do want.

Let me start by telling you that I have really watery eyes & I tend to work 12+ hour shifts meaning I’m in my makeup for about 14+hrs. That being said I feel I’m a decent judge on staying power of cosmetics & boy are these liners awesome!
What I LOVE about them:
*They’re pretty well pigmented! I can usually stick with one sweep of the pencil and call it a day. If I’m going out, I’ll do a couple layers just for more intensity but it’s just slightly more intense as the payoff is already great!
*The colors! I have hazel eyes and can pretty much wear any color… Any eye color should wear what the like for that matter! I really like all the combos they have but I usually get the purple or pink toned ones. I adore that the black pencils have flecks of the complimentary color in them so they aren’t flat or simply black. Although I do feel a matte, neutral kit would be great.
*THE STAYING POWER! These babies don’t come off until YOU’RE ready for them to come off! I’ve found it easiest to double wash… Starting with olive or coconut oil on your dry face followed by a mild cleanser to get everything off with out residue or tight dry skin. You can make it through a wedding or funeral with these babies!
*I do enjoy that they come in a mechanical pencil instead of a traditional pencil because you can take them on the go. There’s a little sharpener at the back end of the pencil.
*The 3 for 1 price and combo is a bonus and drawback at the same time. I like the shades already being matched, BUT I wish they also came in singles so I could repurchase the black or colored ones without have yet another taupe…
THE CONS
*The only thing I can really say is that the pencils can dry out quickly when the cap isn’t on tight and as one reviewer mentioned the lead of the pencil does fall out the moment they start to dry out… Just be careful when you open the cap in case yours is a jumper… Open it over a clean tissue.
OVERALL these are a wonderful gem of the drugstore and I’ll be devistated if they’re ever discontinued!!!

Wonderful, wonderful drugstore pencil eyeliners. I got the package as pictured (black, bronze brown, and purple) after reading through the many positive mua reviews. I’d never been a big Phys. Formula fan as I always thought their packaging was just too wonky, weird, and burdensome-as if their creative packaging dept was trying too hard and/or had taken too much of the brown acid. But these liners have singularly altered my former judgments, and I’m now thinking much kinder thoughts about PF.
They’re creamy, easily applied, non-irritating (even the purple one), well pigmented, they don’t clump my eyelashes, and they don’t break down, disappear, or run on my watery eyes even after a long day. AND you get 3 pencils for around $12.00, which is quite the bargain. And the packaging is simple and straightforward. I use these pencils for tightlining only.
But, because of this recent joyful discovery, I’ve also taken the plunge and purchased PF’s equally favorably rated serum eyeliner clickpen for regular eyelining. And, lo and behold, that’s a thing of beauty as well! Well done, PF.

Very odd, I must have gotten a bad batch; but the lady to which I returned it said they’d had a lot of problems with the Physician’s Formula pencils.
Mine (I got the Nude and the Purple on BOGO) were all dried out, would barely apply even to my hand, and one even broke right off ’cause it was so dried out. Thank god for returns! (I’m currently in love with the Stila pencils, but can get only on deals or kits, can’t bring myself to spend $22 per pencil when I have a bunch already).
I hate recommending something that seems to be going away, but I’ve recently discovered the Prestige Total Intensity pencils and have been snatching them up on clearance.

This is the best product I have found in an eyeliner in terms of it being hypoallergenic, the ease of application – how it glides on smoothly and that it lasts throughout the day.
I have tried other hypoallergenic liners such as Almay and they dont’ apply as easily, and the saturation is poor, and look so faint in color, and then color doesn’t last all day. But this product I am super satisfied with.
The only drawback is that I mainly use one of the colors in the set of 3 in the package – Bronze. It is the dark brown color and it is perfect for my eye color. The other colors, black and copper are okay but not for everyday wear, so I really only use the bronze.
Also the pencil runs out very quickly, way faster than any other pencil liner I have ever used. which means I have had to re-purchase the set several times just to get that single color. I have contacted Physician’s Formula about this hoping they might sell that color separately – they do sell a brown eyeliner but it doesn’t apply as nicely either. Go figure!

Fell in love with these pencils! They glide on smoothly and look great. I have oily lids so normally I have to reapply a lot, but not with these. They look great and go on smoothly. I noticed that with more unusual colored liners such as purple, the liners aren’t as creamy or nice. Some are even sticky. But not this one! A lot of time liners smear off my bottom lid as well and these did not. I have to repurchase though because my brown got stuck between my sink and wall and wont come out, and I ran out of my black.

I saw all the nice reviews and agree it’s convenient and such pretty colours but unfortunately they made my eyes itch like crazy (I have sensitive eyes so it might not be an issue if you don’t have sensitive eyes) and smudged (but I do have very oily lids).
So, it just didn’t work out for me but if you have dry and non-sensitive eyes then it could work for you.

These drug store eyeliner pencils have floored me!!! For many, many, years, I have been a high-end makeup snob who wouldn’t even *dream* of buying a pencil eyeliner in a drugstore or supermarket! Hell no! Tried most of them when I was young and it was all I could afford, but they all were too hard to apply because they were not soft and didn’t glide on like today’s pencils. Also, they would smear, smudge, and disappear on me like it was nobody’s business. I have been a loyal, Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner pencil user for years! Before that, I was a big fan of MAC, Bobbi Brown, Laura Mercier, Elizabeth Arden, MUFE, Marc Jacobs, Estee Lauder or Clinique. The reason I tried the PF Shimmer Strips is because of my teenaged daughter. She forgot to bring an eyeliner pencil with her on vacation last summer, so we went to a local CVS to pick one up for her. She picked out the Warm Eyes and Nude trios because I had a coupon; and because they looked so good on her, I asked her if I could try one. I was amazed at how well the eyeliner stayed put all evening without migrating into my creases (like a lot of other eyeliner pencils I have tried), and without patting a matching eyeshadow powder on top to set the line. Not only did it not migrate, but it didn’t smudge, smear, flake, or disappear at all, either! So I bought myself the Green Eye Trio the next day, and I have to say- these PF Shimmer Strip pencils have replaced my beloved UD eyeliner pencils! I have been using them every day for quite some time now, and always with great results. I don’t even have to check my eyes in a mirror anymore, because I know my liner is staying put. I must confess, last weekend… I fell asleep watching a movie (at home). I never got up to wash my makeup off, and when I awoke the next morning? My Shimmer Strip liner was STILL IN PERFECT condition! I couldn’t believe my eyes!!! <--(Pun intended) No fading, no disappearing… it was all still there! Looking as lovely as it did the night before! I was so impressed, I went out last week and bought myself 2 more trios: Blue Eyes and Hazel Eyes! So far I have been uber impressed with both trios! Good thing they don't sell these in more colors, because I would be broke! ha, ha! I don't buy the sparkly Shimmer Strip pencils because of my age, I just stick with the basic ones and they have been great! EDIT 2-20-15: Ugh- It seems I sang the praises too soon for this product. =^/ Took a point off the overall rating, and 3 points off for packaging after my incident yesterday morning. I attempted to use the pretty green pencil from the Green Eyes Trio, and when I pulled the cap off, the entire lead of the pencil slid out of the plastic pencil applicator and right into my bathroom sink! Not only was the lead contaminated now, but it made a bit of a mess in the sink that I had to scrub off. I am not happy about this because I used the green pencil a few times and it happened to look really nice with my hazel-green eye color. Now I am down a pencil, and I can't replace it without paying over $10 for another trio (which I don't need all 3, just the one.) That is the downside to twist-up eye pencils… when they fail, that's it! You're done! 🙁 UPDATE: Contacted Physicians Formula via their website and told them what happened. A rep from the company responded via email & said she will send me a replacement pencil. If they do, that will display excellent customer relations, of which I am impressed! Will keep you ladies posted. 🙂
