Like the first reviewer, I have oily eyelids that don’t cooperate with kohl or anything easily smudge-able, so I always ended with unsightly black patches underneath my eyes followed by intense wiping sessions in the bathroom mirror. I already have my ride-or-die products so I was in the market for something unique. Not a black eyeliner. Not a setting powder. Not a foundation or lipstick in a shade of pink I probably already have.
I like to use this with my regular cat flick but layered on top. It’s absolutely stunning with even the darkest of brown eyes – navy blue subtly brings out the red and golden tones in your irises!
The beauty of this product is that it’s WATERPROOF! but creamy and easy to apply, and sets in seconds. There was no dragging on the sensitive eye area – this eyeliner applies like silk. CT has other eyeliners that are not waterproof, but the pencils that fall into the same line as Marlene Midnight are all waterproof as well.

As someone with terribly oily eyelids, I’ve always had trouble with any sort of kohl eyeliner. I usually have to resort to waterproof liquid eyeliner but that gives me a rather harsh line unlike the lovely smokey smudged look I’ve always coveted.
Which is why this particular eye pencil is just amazing for me! It glides on smoothly, sets in less than 30 seconds and pretty much stays on all day. After years of panda eyes, I still can’t believe it but I’ll definitely be collecting them in the other colours and repurchasing when they run out!
