I, too, was lured by the promise of bigger looking eyes and like the sucker I am, paid $35 for this. So is it worth it? Maybe if you wear a full beat every day it would mesh well with that look… but with my everyday look, which is very light coverage with the focus on the lips and not the eyes, it has two modes: (1) imperceptible and gets blinked away immediately, or (2) wow, there is something that is really obviously not my natural mucus membrane on my waterline, and it looks kinda flaky up close. I don’t think it makes my eyes look any bigger and overall I wish I had kept my $35. It does have a nice soft texture that plays nicely with the waterline, doesn’t drag, and lasts a decent amount of time without causing eye irritation.

Just bought this for the second time! I wear this on my waterline every single day! I never wear black eyeliner on my waterline as it makes my eyes look small and dull. This really brightens up my blue eyes and makes them look big and bright, and definitely more awake like it claims! It’s so creamy to apply and I love that it’s nude and is universal, flatters every skin tone. I will continue to buy this even though it’s high end because I think the price is definitely worth it. This lasts all day for me and I wear it with EVERY eye look! I have sensitive eyes too and this just glides on my waterline and causes no irritation. Love it

The best eyeliner for the waterline. It is so creamy and unlike my nyx nude eyeliner(which I thought was a dupe, clearly not), the color pay off is amazing.

Update: Just tried the newly released Sephora Contour Inner Rim Gel Eyeliner $8, and it’s absolute love! More yellow toned and muted, so much better match for NC25!
NC25 Chinese oily monolid. So creamy to apply, I immediately tossed out my rock hard Nars version. It doesn’t meld into my skintone as a nude color, more like a brightener and reflects light (aka you can tell I’m wearing it). Maybe I am too heavy handed with it and takes practice to see if I can achieve a more natural effect. Not saying it’s an issue, just not skin like for my light medium golden skintone.

Thanks to perpetual allergies and insomnia I always seem to have a slightly pink tinged lower eye rim. Never pretty. So I’m a big fan of beige and white liners to help camouflage that pinkness and add some freshness. But they’re tricky because they either disappear after a couple hours or they meld into the roots of the lower lashes and make it look like I have lash dandruff. I actually have dry eyes, and use prescription Restasis twice a day to combat it, so typically I don’t have as much of a problem with longevity in the waterline as other people might. But I do hate that horrible faux-dandruff look in my lash roots or the unflattering coloration some of these nude liners can have. Currently, I have and love the Burberry Effortless Eye Kohl in Stone, Chanel Kohl in 69 Clair, and Chanel Kohl in White (which I think is dc’d but not sure). So I bought the CT one after testing it in store and loving the silky texture and the lovely cream-nude color.
This is a really lovely consistency: creamy, dense, silky smooth. It just glides on like a dream. And it’s incredibly pigmented, opaque, and rich. The color is unique in that it’s less peachy beige than a lot of these types of waterline nude liners, and more of a cream or off-white color, so it’s very brightening but not in a startling way.
However, being that it’s so creamy and dense, it does get into the lash root and is so difficult to remove. Because of the long lasting formula, I either have to use a cotton bud with makeup remover to get it out of the roots or I have to apply it before I apply any other makeup (like eyeliner or eyeshadow or mascara) to the lower eyelid area. Not a big deal at all, just thought I’d mention it.
It does last a long time, and stays put fairly well, but it’s noticeably faded by the end of a long day so I wouldn’t say it’s intact after eight hours or anything. And keep in mind, this is with my incredibly dry eyes too. It’s still there in some places, but it wears off patchily so it may look opaque in the corners but faded in the middle. Not a great look. I carry it in my purse to retouch during the day as needed, and find I have better luck with Burberry’s version as far as long lasting abilities go.
Overall, this is a really nice nude pencil and it does feel as amazing as I’d hope. But it does have a couple issues, at least for me. Still, I use it often and like it a lot. I think I’d repurchase because of the beautiful texture and unique color. It’s worth checking out for anyone that’s a fan of nude liners.

The purpose of “Eye Cheat” is to line the inner rim to give the illusion of brighter, bigger eyes. This is an old theater trick. I’ve done this for actors before but always thought using white pencil on the waterline looked a bit too obvious for me to wear in real life, away from the stage. White on the waterline can backfire; your gaze is drawn to the wearer’s bright white line rather than the person’s baby blues or soulful brown irises. But “Eye Cheat” is a soft nude flesh tone, and so it does work better and is more appropriate for reality than stark white. It makes you look a bit more awake and wide-eyed. I also use this soft nude pencil for clean-up – fixing the outer corner if a dark powder shadow didn’t land just right, or around the eyebrows. Sometimes the stain of a dark lipstick can linger after you wipe it off. A nude pencil is an easy way to clean up your lip line.
I have sensitive eyes and wear contacts. I’ve been using Charlotte Tilbury’s Rock N Kohl eye pencils without any irritation.
Cons? $27 is a very high price for one pencil. So while I do think this works well, and I have lots of uses for it, there are other brands that offer flesh-toned waterproof pencils for less.

I bought the cream/nude colour, to line my waterline on eyes…. it’s great, and lasts ages…. I’ve always worn white on my rims before, but this looks far more natural and still really brightens. it just lasts all day!… I’ve already bought another. The only downside is, they are so soft they are quite difficult to sharpen… and I have the Charlotte Tilbury sharpener especially for these pencils.

This is almost a cut and paste mostly from my other review(s), cause I’ve had the same experience with all the shades I bought. I first bought this in barbarella Brown and loved it so much I bought all the other shades when they came out. If more shades come out I’ll buy them too!
I use this on my waterline to open up and brighten my eyes. It sets and is still there at the end of the day. This is a nude with (to my eyes, a slight touch of peach and a subtle glimmer). Perhaps due to the glimmer this is the only rock ‘n’ kohl I have that does migrate a little bit. My eyes have, in their outer courner a slight area where shadows, liner and etc can collect. A tiny bit of this will have moved there thoughout the day.
since I bought these I haven’t used my gels on my waterline, and I haven’t used any other pencil. for waterline this stays better than Mac feline, powerpoint or ud 24/7.
In terms of ‘nude’ eyeliners I have Utowa pencil in nude, and Stila pencil in topaz. I preferred the stila colour, but the utowa lasted better. Now, this outranks them both.
