Another complete miss of a beauty product from Primark’s PS… range. This is supposed to be a simple, black, liquid eyeliner, but if my experience is anything to go by, it’s far from simple to apply.
Much like other liquid eyeliners of this ilk, this one has a long applicator arm topped off with a short, stiff, stubby brush. However, unlike other liquid eyeliners of this ilk, the actual product was so thin in texture it was practically like applying water to my lash line. It took an absolute age to dry, meaning I couldn’t immediately apply another line over the top of the one I’d already drawn, and even when it was dry enough to do just that, applying more just made the first layer come off. The end result was a patchy, wonky line which looked like a toddler had been drawing all over my face!
Against my better judgement, I persevered with this and eventually managed to draw lines on both eyelids that looked halfway decent. Within about 3 hours, however, this stuff had started to flake off in HUGE chunks. I went to the bathroom at work, to discover big, black chunks of eyeliner all over my under eye areas and my cheeks. And the lines I’d so painstakingly drawn that morning were now looking patchy and awful. In the end I removed it altogether and went the rest of the day, liner free.
For £1.50 I was probably expecting way too much from this. However, based on previous experiences with Primark makeup, this performed, by far, the worst. I certainly couldn’t, and wouldn’t, recommend it to anyone, despite the attractive price point. If you’re looking for a cheap eyeliner, look elsewhere – this isn’t up to the job.
