I’m very fond of this type of liner component–it’s so easy to grab, apply, and go without having to fuss with a pot and brush. (I prefer pot cream or gel liners, but some days pens are far more convenient.) I got a sample size in black and liked it so well that I decided to purchase it in brown, which is my everyday liner color. I’m not sure what the issue is, but this is nothing like the black version. This pen drags and skips over powder or cream shadow, and storing it tip-down and wiping the tip while applying (thinking I’d gotten shadow on the brush and it was causing the problems) didn’t help. It’s also prone to bleeding during application. If you can get it applied, it dries to a somewhat shiny finish (but it contains no shimmer or glitter), the lasting power of which is poor–an unusual issue for me. This is a poorer version of MAC Brushbrown liner–brown with a slightly shiny finish–but I’ve had none of these issues with Brushbrown, and the price is the same. I’ll keep trying to use this, but MAC, LORAC, and KvD make similar products with pen tips that are far superior. I’m quite disappointed and will not repurchase. I bought this because I liked the black one. The brown Pretty Easy pen is very different. The color is a soft medium brown. It may not show up very well if you have a tan. The tip of the black one I have is short and thin. This one still comes to a fine point but the brush is longer. The formula of the black one seems to last longer. The brown pen isn’t as water resistant. I might go back to the store and exchange it for a new black pen because I liked the original. Or I might get Stila’s dark brown Stay All Day liner.
