Prefer mechanical eye liners to classic but still this is one of my favorite eye pencils ever.
Pros: beatiful dark grey color; nor creamy nor stiff, perfect; easy to apply, do not drag
So-so: it’s MAC so price; simple packaging; sometimes smudge just a little in the corner of eyes at the end of the day
There are cheaper good eye pencils on the market but the color is just gorgeous, i think it will be quite difficult to find the match. So will I repurchase? Yes, please!

I am on my second Powerpoint pencil in Industry in about 5 months. I love it that much. I have light brown eyes, and although black liner makes the color really pop, it also makes my eyes look smaller. Charcoal grays, like Industry, still make the color pop without closing in my eyes or making them look smaller.
I have Powerpoint pencils in Bordeauxline and Bountiful Brown as well. Compared to those shades, the Industry pencil is a bit creamier. So it feels a little less dry and glides on a bit easier, but it’s also a tad more prone to smudging during application. I find that with this shade, I have to go back and clean up around my waterline and the edges of my eyes with a Q-tip. This is an issue I don’t have with Bordeauxline at all. However, like the other shades, once the liner is in place and “cleaned up,” it really doesn’t budge. It’s amazing. I will repurchase this forever.

love industry. so glad i discovered this one and grey utility last holiday season. LOVE THEM BOTH. such beautiful, rich colors, but i have come to expect this from MAC eye pencils. i have brown skin and brown eyes, and these grey and pearlescent grey pencils really take my eyes to that next level of brown. BUY THESE

This is my HG eyeliner. I’ve used it on a daily basis for the last 3 or 4 years after I was fortunate enough to swap for one and realize how amazing it is. I don’t like using BLACK eyeliners for daytime makeup and when going to work – I just feel like sometimes they can look too intense/dramatic and I’d rather reserve that look for night. I like this eyeliner because it’s more of a charcoal/graphite type of color, so it’s dark enough to make my eyes pop, but not overly dramatic. The staying power is very good also and I haven’t found it to smudge, although I do use UD Primer Potion on my lids and that keeps pretty much everything in place. Its application is also very, very smooth and I can use it for both thick and thin lines, upper and lower lids. I will probably continue to buy this liner forever and would HIGHLY highly recommend giving it a try.

Best eyeliner I have ever used. I am still searching for a better one, just because my only con is that it sometimes smudges underneath my eyes. Besides that, this is a really good eyeliner and I love the color. I also like that it goes on smooth and lasts for a pretty long time.

I am a big fan of kohl eyeliners and wear them daily and go heavy for a night out. I am currently living in Australia and have had to adapt my make up purchases according to prices and availability. Back home (UK) I usually go for Bourjois eyeliners, however I haven’t come across that here and so needed a new brand.
I’ve not tried MAC before but have friends who are huge fans, so I thought I would give them a go and went to their counter to look at their kohl eyeliners. I wanted a slate grey colour and they had 2 grey options, however I went for this one as it was the darker of the 2 and I didn’t want to risk a light one being silvery. It was pretty expensive compared to the cheaper options out there ($32 AUSD) however I went with the theory “you get what you pay for” and boy did I…..
I LOVE this eyeliner – it stays put for well over 12 hours and does not move. It does go a little lighter and faded towards the end of the day but I don’t reapply, so I can’t complain about that. I have quite oily eyelids and eyeshodow usually sits in the creases after a few hours, however I find no issue with this eyeliner at all and it doesn’t smudge or wander. For a smokey look it is a little hard to blend/smudge – probably to do with it’s staying power though!
Recommend this one with a big smiley face!

I like grey liners, less harsh than black liners especially for the day look. I have smallish eyes and black liners sometimes make my eyes even smaller if I don’t apply carefully. This one I use a lot, underlines my eyes without making them look smaller. It is a dark grey, nothing too fancy, just what I need for a neat look without all the drama. For all that glam look I go with black, this one is a plain color for decent days. Powepoint liners in differrent shades all have different stay on power, this one I would say has medium to strong staying power.

This is really pretty and goes on so smoothly. It’s a good alternative to black kohl pencils. Very pretty grey tone, not too light but doesn’t go on black either. I tightline with this, or smudge it out, always keeping it close to the lashline. Very much a staple product for me, and great when I’m in a rush and need a quick eye look, I’ll use just this with mascara and it makes me look awake!

I got this in a swap so I can’t comment on price. It is a wonderful color that is not as harsh as black and an unexpected change from brown. I am NW20 with brown eyes. This makes them pop. I ALWAYS use a primer, NARS or UDPP. I cannot use this liner without it ‘traveling’ up into my crease. I smudge it really tight into my lash line and then just blend out a bit. I do have oily lids but I have never had an issue with any other liner doing this (I always us a liner). It’s a shame because this is a great color! I won’t repurchase because it’s not strong enough for me. If you have oily lids, you may want to steer clear.

I bought this eyeliner a few weeks ago and since then, I’ve been using it every day.
Before, I used to draw a black line on my waterline, but it never lasted very long.
On my wedding day in August this year, my make-up artist drew a line under the waterline and my best friend commented that it looked much better. So I tried it, but a black line was way too harsh. So I bought this dark grey pencil and it’s just right. It goes on smoothly because it’s very soft. After applying, I smudge it a little bit with a q-tip. It lasts and stays in place all day.
I’m very pleased with this eyeliner and will purchase other colors as well.
