I’ve been unable to use my new eyeliner because there is a piece of plastic around the exposed tip of the eyeliner itself. Wondering if anyone else had this problem? I’m unable to remove the plastic or even cut it off. I cannot tell if it’s there to protect the tip from breaking but I’m unable to turn the pen to make the eyeliner go up beyond the plastic so I can apply it. No directions on the packaging and unable to find anything online about it. Very frustrating. Another piece of new makeup that will get chucked in the trash!

Very nice texture, and very easy to work with. I wear the expresso lightly as my top liner, and the grey khaki lightly, and use the helpful smudger on the bottom lashline. It looks natural and very beautiful, and I do receive compliments. I hope these colors are never discontinued, I’d be lost.

Disappointment. 🙁
Considering this wasn’t the cheapest drugstore eyeliner option, this was overpriced and is getting chucked out.
I like the automatic point bc I have a problem with pencils breaking after I sharpen them. The color is rich (I have the brown) and it’s creamy and easy to apply.
But this WILL NOT stay put! I use primer on my face and eyes but this stuff ends up under my eyes and patchy looking on my lids.
Lesson learned. No thanks, CoverGirl.

This wouldn’t stay put. When I checked a mirror after a couple of hours I had smudges under my eyes! So embarrassing!

Sigh. I got the Deep Burgundy because of the color; I was skeptical ’cause the only CoverGirl makeup I’ve liked in years is the TruNaked palettes (which are truly amazing), but this was dry and didn’t go on well, not something I’d use even if I can’t find the color I want elsewhere. Returned to the store.

The sponge tip, self sharpener, and the precise lines are all little pluses, unfortunately it will melt off your tightline and it has no staying power on skin. prepare for meltsway!

BROWN REVIEW: I love this eyeliner! I started using it after CoverGirl discontinued their exact eyelights eyeliner, which I absolutely adored! I’m not really into makeup and prefer a natural look. This eyeliner helps make me look more awake but isn’t as intense or as intimidating as black liner can appear. I use this eyeliner primarily on my lower lash and water line, but occasionally use it to tightline my upper lashes. I don’t mind that this product tends to smear minimally because I don’t want to spend a ton of money on a product. I like the fact that this is a twist-up product because I am much too lazy to sharpen a pencil eyeliner and am too clumsy for liquid eyeliner. There’s a lot of product, and I’ve repurchased several times. I recommend this for people who prefer uncomplicated makeup or for those who are just starting out.

I originally bought this liner (the plum color) as a quick replacement for my Colourpop liner in Call Me, which is very similar in color, but crumbled on my horribly. The only difference is that that this is very slightly warmer and has slight shimmer. The color itself is very pretty. It’s a dark plummy burgundy color that looks good slightly smudged out for a nice subtle daytime smoky look. The formulation performs surprisingly well. It’s creamy and pigmented, glides on very smoothly. I wore it today and it lasted the whole day and throughout crying. There was some transfer onto my upper eyelid, but I have hooded eyelids so this happens to me no matter how expensive my liners are anyway. I always try to prevent transfer by powdering my lids or applying eyeshadow primer underneath. My only gripe is that the packaging is not really that good. the liner comes out a clear tube at the tip, and mine is actually slightly crooked so it’s at a bit of an awkward angle. It’s also not retractable, so you can only dispense a small section at a time because it’s very close to the top of the cap. The smudger at the end is a small wedge of sponge which may do in a pinch, but I honestly think fingers work better. Other than These issues, this is a pretty good eyeliner for the price ($5 at Target) or by any means.

I tried this eye liner recently in the Expresso color because it was on sale,it’ goes on nicely on the top lid,but as many women have said here and elsewhere it smudges under the eyes soon after it’s applied.I even tried it again over eye shadow to act as a primer and it still smudged!
