I read reviews of this liner *after* I ordered it, so I expected that I’d wasted my money.
I don’t know if I just happened to get a “good one,” or if the Texas weather did something to this pencil, but I’m pleasantly surprised.
I have insanely oily skin, so that may be the difference, but Scott B. glides smoothly onto my lids, and delivers a good, though not intense, amount of pigment. As for color: Scott B. is on the browner side of burgundy; on me it registers as a dark brown with the tiniest hint of red that “pops” my green eyes, without giving me that dreaded “conjunctivitis look.”
I might actually buy this one again, since I haven’t been able to find a burgundy pencil liner from any other brand.

Hands down the worst liner ever! So dry, I couldn’t even swatch on my hand, then broke twice so I tried to apply with a brush. I like a lot of TheBalm products but this was probably the worst makeup item I’ve ever used.

I don’t like this product at all. I got it in an ipsy bag and it keeps breaking off on me. It’s not very pigmented, it drags, and the tip usually breaks off when I try to use on my lash line or water line

Mr. Write me now is not really working on me. Too hard to use, the color is rarely there and really easy to break. The packaging is good (slim ) so easy to keep.

I received the full size of this eyeliner in my Ipsy bag. I love TheBalm, but this is possibly the worst eyeliner I’ve EVER tried. No pigment, it skips and tugs at my skin, if you manage to get it to show up it just crumbles off. Shockingly awful.

The color in the tube should be perfect for me, but this product is so hard and dry, I can’t even swatch a clean line on my hand. Not only did it break when I tried, it’s so hard it won’t even deposit a line of color when I’m grinding it on! I even tried warming it with a hairdryer to see if it would soften enough to give it a try, but even that failed to get a decent result. Did I get old stock by accident? Maybe. But it’s a new item that arrived this way.
