This is the only eyeliner that lasts for a long time. I’ve tried every eyeliner out there (both at Sephora and drugstores) and they just don’t last. I have VERY oily monolids (my eyelid skin rubs a lot when I open and close my eyes so this paired with my oily eyelids are a bad combo).
My only complaint is that I wish it was a brush tip because I can’t get the sharpest wing (or at least not easily) because it’s not a sharp felt tip.

This has been my go to eyeliner for 10 years. The black shade is a deep black and it stays on for 10 hours plus without smudging. People often ask me which liner I use as it stays all day!
The nib can be a little ticky to master at first, what I reccomend is drawing on a line with a felt tip liner first for shape then overlining with this liner.
Great product!

I must say this liquid eyeliner was good in the terms of color, the color was deep black. It not easily smudged and erased by sweat and oil. However, this product might be not fit for everyone, I felt burn and hot on the eye area. I decided to clean it up.
I think the packaging was quite long and strong.
Overall nice color and density but you might want to try it on the counter first. The packaging is good.

i don’t know if it’s just me but it burns my eyelids! whenever i apply it near my lash line, it hurts and my skin went red. i asked my friends to try the product too, but only a couple had the same result as mine. lucky for you who are not allergic to it 🙁
the tip is too hard for me, no matter how you try to make it opaque it leaves two black bold lines and the middle part is not opaque at all, as if you pressed it too hard. it is also difficult to make a straight line with the wand.
i did try it on a couple times, trying to wait for the burning sensation to fade while my eyes are watering, and it stays pretty well throughout the day. overall, might be good for you who are not allergic to this, but for me this is kinda disappointing 🙁

This is my go-to eyeliner. It goes on smoothly and lasts all day, even on my oily lids! The applicator allows for both thin and thick lines, and the color is nice and dark. However, I would not recommend this to eyeliner beginners as it does take a bit of practice to get perfect!
sheepishSwift9
Goes on pigmented, but does not last beyond 6 hours – it dries and cracks off, leaving horrible crumbles.
wingedPear6
Overall I like the colour is pretty bold, it doesn’t clump there’s no problems with the packaging, its quick to dry and it lasts about 6 hours for me. For some reason it is a bit harder to put on and get a straight line than other liquid eyeliners I’ve used but nothing a little extra practice in the mirror can’t fix:) also it isn’t waterproof and it smudges alot if you rub your eyes so if you’re a crier, it’s probably not best for you:P

I think I found my favorite eyeliner. I’m on my second tube.
This is the best of both worlds – it has the tip of a pen eyeliner so it is very easy to apply and it has the deep pigmentation and staying power of a liquid eyeliner. Bonus points for the small metal ball in the tube that prevents the product from drying up too quickly (just shake the tube from time to time). Not to mention it is really affordable.
Seriously, this should get more hype. I don’t understand why it has so few reviews. Try it, you’d be happy you did.

I’m sorry it’s taken me so long to discover the Catrice brand! Another product from them I’ve been pleased with. It draws a fine line easily, even for someone like me who is very much an amateur when it comes to eyeliner. It stays all day but comes off easily with eye makeup remover. It’s true that it only comes in black, but it’s a soft black, more like a black-brown, and since you can get a fine line with this so easily, it’s perfect for an everyday look.
relievedCurlew6
This is my new fav liquid liner. It’s so cheap yet the quality is superb. The applicator has nice fine felt tip that allows you to draw the perfect line onto your upper eye. The staying power is also awesome. I applied it in the morning and no fall out or smudge ever happened the whole 8 hours of work. I’m already addicted to Catrice!
amazedBittern7
It is an affordable good eyeliner. It stays all day long and also the waterproof version is available. If you are searching for an inexpensive eyeliner you should definitelu try this one out
humorousMare4
This is a great product, it is really affordable (approx. 5-6 euros). It has a felt tip which makes the application really easy and draws a very fine line. It lasts a long time with a primer underneath and it does not smear. The only downside to it is that only comes in black.
worldlyLapwing3
I would not buy this again. I’d buy ELF liquid eyeliner for $2 if I wanted a very black eyeliner that smudges & smears if ur eyes water in the least. I returned mine. I’m more into liquidlast from MAC or MAC’s BlackTrack gel. now those are worthy to carry the MAC logo. This is not good. I wish it worked but I need an impenetrable fortress of eyeliner because every day when I take a med my eyes start to water, my nose starts to run & i can’t stop yawning. The [new] rollerwheel eyeliner is great too it’s waterproof why does anyone even make non waterproof liquid eyeliner anymore. . . . . …

Great liner.
Gel look and feel. Only draw back is that the tip can get a bit frazzled with time.

i cant believe i havent reviewed this. a few of my friends and i use this eyeliner exclusively. its so easy to do winged liner with the felt tip. i do go over the line a few times to make sure its ultra opaque and black. it dries very quickly. much more quickly than any gel eyeliner ive used. a plus for me because i have hooded eyes so usually my liner transfers instantly on my lids. it is not waterproof but i have oily hooded lids and this liner lasts all day. i wear an extreme winged eyeliner, so i use a tube a month. this eyeliner is dark, dries quickly, easy to make a wing using the felt tip. it also doesnt gunk up my eyelashes so mascara still goes on smoothly after. i would recommend this to anyone who likes doing a winged liner look. people ask alll the time what eyeliner i use, and i dont hesitate to recommend.

Is there any tips for applying this procduct, I am always an artist with eye liner and the best of my friends at doing the cat eye and I cannot master this product. The brush is so hard and it doesent last , I have dry skin and it smudges and looked like it was cheep and it cost 23 dollors, I don’t know if I’m just applying it wrong maybe too much eye shadow . Any suggestions, cause I don’t want to buy a new one !
murkyFlamingo0
very disappointed with this product. On my NW 43 asian skin it dries to a grey-black, not good. It also smears easily, i don’t understand why any makeup brand would make a liquid liner that is not water/smudge proof. Does anyone want their eyeliner rubbing off?? I much prefer the liquidlast eyeliner in point black, i know i can apply it and it will stay put till i remove it, and its a much more solid black.
goofyEagle6
its very gud if u want waterproof eyeliner in jet black…i.love dis…n doesnt smudge at all
worldlyPaella7
A very serious disappointment from MAC. A cute little tube that lines your eye in a gloopy, thick lined mess. This is when a super cheap liner like N.Y.C. from Target far exceeds the expensive ones when it comes to quality.
humorousOryx7
Everything is good about this – but the lasting power
Cheap
Applies nicely
Dark
doesn’t dry out fast
Good for a variety of looks
Its just that it rubs off easily and therefore doesn’t really measure up to other products.
bubblySyrup0
Bought this for $2. I tried it and loved it, I’m a sucker for liquid liners. Especially the felt tip kind. The only flaw was having it come out perfect after one try. I will get it (had to get used to the tip) I’m used to using a brush for it. Would recommend for the cost and long lasting.
curiousSyrup7
The reason why I bought this eyeliner was because I wanted a replacement for my Loreal Lineur intense which had a felt tip and has since been discontinued. I do like this product for the cheap price (it’s about $9 AUD) It goes on smoothly and it is quite black. My only gripe is how NON water proof this is. With a single drop of water this will smudge like CRAZY!
For example yesterday in Sydney was a rainy day. I forgot to bring an umbrella and had to walk through the rain. I caught a glimpse of myself in a mirror and it was horrible! Raccoon eyes to the days. Also if I tear up for any reason = smudges.
I’ll continue to buy this product because it’s quite inexpensive while I search for the HG liquid liner.
tautSeahorse4
IN LOVE with this product. Have used it for years since Walgreens has been putting it out. This does not dry out and it lasts 12+ hours, it will last you an entire day and you can sleep in it and wake up with it still on. For $1.99 WHY would you buy anything else???
mellowTomatoe3
good deal $1.99 + tax hope it doesn’t dry up as fast as the Maybelline Stiletto eyeliner did
stressedCaviar7
I love this eyeliner! It is super black, I have not had any problem with drying, and at least on my eyes it lasts with out any smudging, and this is coming from a contact user. I do have to say that as with most of my make up i do use some sort of primer, but even on the days that i didnt waer any it lasted, i love this more than the elf brand pens just because this one is so much more pigmented.
panickyVenison7
I LOVE THIS LIQUID EYELINER!!!! this is the only liquid liner i am able to use on my upper lash line so far. it hasn’t dried out yet either…
jubilantBoars6
I tested this by watching the parks and rec finale wearing it, and it performed really well. It wasn’t smudged at all and it was still on as black as it was when I applied it, with no smudging onto my crease either. It’s so easy to apply too. What else could you want in an eyeliner?
sheepishAntelope4
I like this liner because it dispenses just enough product and can do a thin or thick line. I don’t like that its hard to make a good wing with it. In comparison to the Kat von D tattoo liner, I like this better because the tattoo liner doesn’t dispense enough product and I have to go over the same line multiple times for it to be dark enough. But the tattoo liner makes a better wing. Overall, I prefer the Stila liner though.
insecurePie9
LOVE how easy this is to apply! I had begun to get fed up with maybellines liquid eyeliners, so I decided to get back with my favorite albeit more expensive eyeliner brand,Stila. Ordered this dirt cheap off of EBay, I’m quite satisfied. Easy to draw a beautiful line (and wing it) with its tip, and it outlasted my ten hour workday!
goofySausage4
I don’t know what people are looking at when they see the liner on their lids but when I look at the finished results with this liner, I see shine, no lid coming through at all. Goes on beautifully & stays put. I get no runny mess at all AND I CAN BUILD it. Someone stated that they’re very experienced in “applying liquid liner”. Well, I find that statement hard to believe. This is such an easy product to apply. It is build-able despite the “experienced liquid liner applier” says. Love it. Doesn’t flake at all. If you’re so worried about this liner, set it with Carbon or another matte black eyeshadow. Ugh, some people 🙂
humorousWidgeon1
I’m pretty skilled in eyelining. The product is too sheer and doesn’t offer even application. I tried layering it, but the formula is not build-able. In the end, I just ended up with a messy line that only looks good from a distance. I don’t recommend it.
kindLlama1
I received this as a gift and am enjoying it. Quite easy application and wearability. I definetely recommened this as an alternative of Lancome’s artliner (which is my fav)
jumpyRat6
Bought this on special. It went on ok the first time, if not a little thin/watery. But after about a week it totally dried out and was useless.
Update: I had two of these from the original purchase, and the second one has been going fine. I have been screwing the lid on REALLY tight. So it was either that or the first one was a bit dodgy!
sincereMare9
This is by far the worst eye liner I have ever used! If you do a line the super hard tip leaves a dent! And if you try and go over it again it does the same thing. So you end up with 2 small lines of black on either side and can totally see your eyelid in between. Runs off easily and smudges like mad! Such a massive waste of money, was considering taking it back but lost the receipt, I love most of the body shop make up and skin care but this is hands down the worst!! The rimmel water proof eyeliner (which is a similar softer applicator and bottle shape) Is my holy grail eye liner. Literally the best liquid liner I’ve ever used.
morbidCake9
it is fairly good, like what others said before, it is bold black, does not clump, and long lasting enough for a non-waterproof product.
this liner is my first liquid eyeliner, and i don’t find any problem applying this with the applicator.
but when i applying this, i feel warmth — even burnt– on the eye area skin until that liquid completely dry. and when it does, the burnt feel disappear.
is it irritation or what?
morbidDinosaur0
This is my favourite liquid eyeliner.
It’s absolutely perfect
But practice makes perfect though
There’s nothing about this eyeliner that I would change
It goes on smooth, it doesn’t smudge, it’s very pigmented.
Definitely my HG ‘liquid’ eyeliner
similarBaboon1
This is the worst MAC product I have ever tried. I bought this in Boot Black. Felt-tip applicator is not bad, but the product itself is just awful.
I like a very opaque and intense black, and this is certailly not. It skipped going on, and was smearing and smudging before I could even finish applying the rest of my makeup. Major FAIL, as far as I am concerned.
offendedSausage9
I am not a fan of this eyeliner, the application is pretty easy (for liquid eyeliner, that is), but it dries really quickly and it’s SOOOO hard to remove.
curiousSyrup1
This is for you If you’re looking for a liquid liner that’s NOT waterproof, and is a super dark black. The applicator is a firm/stiff felt tip that I found was good for precise application when you mess up or creating tips. The applicator can be too hard for sensitive eyes. I like the sleek shiny black tube it comes with although I wish the applicator was more “pen” style like Lancome, Chanel, or Shiseido.
holisticPear1
I love this. It is opretty cheap, but the way it looks on me is like a million bucks. I love the deep black color. It stays on many hours. It does have a tendency to smear, so I try not to put too much on.
murkyDunbird7
This review is for the semi-permanent liquid liner that comes in the standard felt tip applicator that screws into a well. Not to be confused with the Fabuliner pen—there’s a separate listing for that.
This liner is really watery. It takes longer to dry then most liners I’ve used. I also have to go over several times to get it black enough. I also had the plastic on the wand break on me while screwing the top on.
For cheap liquid liner, I definitely prefer Wet N’ Wild. If you are traveling and this is all you can find, it’s okay in a pinch, but I probably wouldn’t repurchase.
worldlySausage5
Not impressed. Feels like you are using a sharpie marker on your eyes. It burns my eyes like heck. Not very pigmented (I bought it in black) At least it wasn’t expensive.
needfulFlamingo2
I’m a little bit surprised at the low rating for this product. I purchased this on special from Strawberrynet. It was a two for one offer and I got the product really cheap. I did exactly what it said which was to shake well before applying and I found that the line was easy to draw and it was a solid black line. I certainly didn’t find the product messy or watery like others here have stated. I certainly wouldn’t be swapping over from my Loreal liquid liner, but if I was caught short, I would buy this product again.
needfulSyrup6
What a poor quality eyeliner. It is runny and goes on too sheer. I got it for only $5 on sale, but it’s not worth even that. Any drugstore liquid liner will be better than this. Total dissapointment!
On top of everything it dried out after the first use. Trash, Trash, Trash!!!!
curiousWhiting2
I love this liner! Goes on easily and stays all day!
