I’ve been buying Urban Decay’s 24-7 eyeliner in Bourbon for over a decade. As of right now, I’m pinching pennies as a college student. So,after running out of my favorite, I decided to pick up L’oreal Infallible Eyeliner in Brown. My old, cheap, trusty standby when I couldn’t afford UD, was always Revlon Colorstay in Black Brown.
I have happily converted to Infallible.
Not only is this formula creamy, just like Urban Decay’s eyeliner, but, the color payoff is fantastic. I never need to reapply this and it doesn’t smug even after I’ve been sweating. If I didn’t know this was L’oreal, I would think you would find this product at Sephora.
It doesn’t have the subtle shimmer of UD Bourbon, but it’s still a lovely, velvety chocolate brown. Will definitely buy again and again.

It’s long lasting and really smooth. I used the carbon black and it’s a really rich black. Only complaint is that it runs on the waterline. Not really infallible if it’s not waterproof!

I’m not a huge fan of this eyeliner. My biggest gripe with it is how difficult it is to create thin lines because it lacks an in-built sharpener. The color payoff is pretty decent – definitely not the most intense you can get out there.

THIS STOOD UP TO MARCHING BAND! Before I left my house to go to marching band pre camp(which starts at 8:45 am)I applied this eyeliner, and when I returned at about 5:30 pm, it looked almost the exact same. I liked the precision, color payoff was nice because my dark brown eyes did not look darker than the eyeliner. It was in the mid eighties today, and I did grueling work. I took like ten water breaks. I really expected my eyeliner to look really gross, smudgy, and faded, since it was a pencil, but all it had was very minimal, not embarrassing, smudging. I only spent about two hours inside, the rest was on a field with no shade. I also sweat very badly. It still looks great! Less than ten dollars too. I also like the availability.
Didn’t look bad after I showered either. Marching band would destroy my other eyeliners, but this was hardly impacted. Very impressed.

I bought this in brown black, and while I loved the color which was darkest brown, and I loved the ease of use to draw a solid line without skipping, I had an allergic reaction to this. I am allergic to “purple” cosmetics that use carmine in them but I never would imagine a brown black liner would contain it so I’m not sure. I’ve never reacted badly to any liner before so this was a first. I didn’t have the receipt so I had to throw it away.

I got this in Black Brown and used it to tightline. There’s a very small amount of product in here, .008 oz/.24 g, so for what you get I think it’s overpriced. It lasted me about 4-5 months of use every weekday. I think it usually lasted around 6 hours before not much was left, and there was usually some transfer to lower lid by that point. Color was okay, could have been more pigmented. I’m not going to repurchase this.

The eyeliner I have is called Infaillible or Indefectible, 16H, waterproof (bought in the UK). The shade I have is 301 Night Day Black, which as far as I can tell is the only regular black shade they do in this line here. I randomly picked up this pencil on a 3 for 2 deal and wasn’t expecting much.
The lasting power of this eyeliner is pretty good, similar to the Urban Decay 24/7 pencils and others like them. On my very oily lids none of these types of pencils last perfectly, they all smudge after a few hours, but significantly less than a regular pencil would. Wearing primer and shadow underneath helps with longevity. And I think it lasts a decent amount of time on the waterline, a few hours.
The reason I’m giving this eyeliner 5 lippies is because of the colour. It’s a very soft natural black, which is oddly enough not that easy to find. So if you’re looking for a black black eyeliner, this is not it at all (I suggest Marc Jacobs Blacquer if you want an intense black). But for a soft daytime black, this is perfect.

I put this on at 7am, it is now 2:02pm and it still looks perfect. No smudging or fading so far and my T zone does get oily during the day. I that they included a sharpener in the stick itself.

works really good on your waterline. it lasted awhile without running.

Best eye liner I have ever used let dry and never moves through day. Easy to take off at night when I wash my face.
