I haven’t written a review in LONG time, but felt compelled to after having this eyeliner for a week. I’ve tried UD 24/7, Smashbox, Kat Von D, Tarte, Laura Mercier, Bobbie Brown, you name it, I’ve tried it. The problem always was that either the product gave me raccoon eyes before noon or it just disappeared altogether. I bought this at Sephora based on another review here that said it would not do either. I chose (Ro)Cocoa because I have blue eyes and someone said this would make them pop. Wow, did it ever! The tiny flecks don’t really show, they just draw more attention to your eyes which is good because I’m 43 and I didn’t want to look like I’d been out clubbing the night before. What impresses me most is that it really does stay all day. I don’t color my waterline, so I can’t speak to how it would work there, but for traditional lining this is a winner. Sure, the $25 price tag is a little steep, but when I think about how much money I have spent on liners that are now sitting in a drawer it’s a real bargain. So happy that I’ve finally found my holy grail!

The second gel crayon I have purchased in this line, I like this as a basic liner for the lower eyelash and water line of my brown eyes. Once applied and smudged, it stays put and it does great things for my brown eyes even though so many rave about what it does for blue ones. I have the navy liner in this as well – like them both. I am wanting the burgundy one …. but I know, I should wait….

I bought Ro-Cocoa, which is a soft shimmery brown but if you’re going for drama they do have Black and a rainbow of vivid colors. The gel crayon is the swivel up variety and comes with a little sharpener at the end of the pencil if you want more of a point, however; that little plastic guy does seem bent on escaping. The colors are fun and a great find. I was excited that it did not smudge (unless you rub your eyes a lot, and then it will). At 25 bucks a pop, the gel crayons are not cheap but this seems to be competitive pricing compared to other brands at Sephora. I love retractable pencils. Swivel up and down.
One problem – the diameter of the lead is too big to get a precise, skinny line. This color is very wearable, so I don’t mind a broader line, but I wish the lead were thinner. Even with the option of sharpening, I found that I could never get that virgin cone back. There is a skinny version available but it only comes in black and white.
