Edit- spoke too soon. This bothered my sensitive eyes despite being washed off and the lashline area was sore for days. Taking off a poInt as it may just be that my skin is particularly sensitive

This review isfor the waterline (labeled as such) kohls in particular – those are great. The black-brown one is really the colour I look for in most lines. Lise Watier has several but I stopped using them. This issofter yet lasts. Problem with waterline use i that it does feel a bit ‘tacky’ which is not ideal. I suppose one is better off setting it with a powder shadow or kohl but I don’t WANNA. I love how it wears though. I love it most as a normal (not waterline) liner – the best one i’ve ever used and if u know me u wd know that is saying a LOT. It leaves ample time to soften or thin out into a fine wing (by smudging outwards with a pinky). It lasts. No irritation. V sensitive eyes here so yes I thibk the best on the market. I have everything n because ppl seem to believe expensive brands are better I prefer this to my Estee lauder Guerlain Chanel dior Urban decay Marc Jacobs Lise Watier etc for a daily liner (ie black-brown not special colours- although the smoothliners have plenty of beautiful colourful picks too )

I just wanted to give a hint to those who have trouble sharpening the pencil. Mine was splintering, now matter how I tried to sharpen it (sharpeners or knife). My son discovered that the END CAP can be removed, then the lead pushed up with a narrow object. It can be pushed clear of the rough edge.

This eyeliner goes on okay. It does not tug too much at my eyelids but the staying power was not that good. It also isn’t very black.
wakefulWeaver8
I really like these liners. There are lots of colours to choose from (available in white which I had a hard time finding in other brands) and they are pigmented. They last fairly well for me but not as long as some others. I think that they are a great product for the price.
scornfulTruffle4
I have been using this eyeliner on my upper lash line and waterline for 15 years. I have a few different colors but plain black and plain taupe are my faves.
I find this stuff goes on pretty easy and stays on for a long time, even on the waterline. It is not as smooth and creamy as say UD 24/7 but I find that stuff just disappears of my lids, including the waterline. Raccoon eyes in no time.
Annabelle eyeliner is cheap, readily available, washes off fine, many colors, sharpens easily and has pretty good pigmentation (not as much as UD 24/7 though.) I always like to try new products but I find I just keep going back to this one.

I love these eyeliners! They are my go-to eyeliners every day! One colour i have you have to work it on a little to get the full effect but it is still great! Most just glide on, i love them 🙂

I use this eyeliner in black everyday now for years. Love this eyeliner goes on very smooth and works well if you want a nice bold line or if you want to smudge it out. Great price about $5.00 CAN or cheaper if there is a sale.

Edit 11/08/16: for personal reasons (Sephora royally screwed me over) I hesitate to buy from a company who treats their customers so shabbily. I looked in my stash I have a 2 green eyeliner 1 is chlorophyll I don’t remember other name; taupe flirting game, blue boyfriends jeans, black nano, bronze; inner rim contour black & brown (returned white), & gel liner in black & navy. I loooove all of these products I hate that I love them coz i can’t order more. Sephora really pissed me off I can’t conscientiously support such a company. When chanel is so nice to me they emailed me saying they forgot samples how sorry they were & they were going to ship them separately & hoped id still do business w them —–> i got disconnected on the telephone @ chanel & the person who picked up transferred me back to the lady I was working w/ so I wouldn’t have to re explain evthing that’s pretty damn good service & a chanel SA did some research on products & called me back in less than 24 hours. Man that is service please chanel take all of my money u get what u pay for both for service & product I don’t have a stylo yeux yet but you bet I will someday soon. Sephora I’m done with them. For crying in the beer they won’t let me use my 600 points & im rouge til 12/31/17 yes 2017!!! I couldn’t take part in the damn 20% VIBR sale they had it for 3 days. I’m canceling my Play box too. I am really torqued over this incident //rant over
If Sephora wanted my business I mean I’ve been rouge for going on 5 years that’s $5000+ but I guess my money doesn’t spend there as well as it does at chanel or Macy’s or Ulta I’m not super don’t super fond of Ulta coz have to pay shipping but i can plan trips in advance w my dad. Beteeen Macy’s, Dillard’s, Ulta, chanel & DS as well as sites from eyeslipsface.com, urbandecay.com, kyliecosmetics, BH, amazon even evilbay on occasion I can pretty much manage to find what I need. Sephora sux!! I’m boycotting Sephora for a good long while. I’m sure they won’t miss me & my $5000 walking stand tall over to the chanel counter. Sephora you start spit u can’t finish pardonnez moi silly me I thought the customer was generally right. Silly rabbit…..

Original review: I’ve tried various eyeliner from Sephora. The one I’m absolutely obsessed w right now is from Sephora. It is the Outrageous Intense Waterproof Gel ($7 on sale 1/2 off of $14!) I have it in Intense Sapphire I liked it so much I was gonna get MAC’s version then I’m like wth why when I’m happy w this??!! Then there are the Nano pencils those are awesome. I’d like to buy some more but I don’t see them on the website. Are they DC? Onto the reg pencils I got Flirting Game I love it it’s a dupe for Chanel (wtf was its name Perle de Lune or somem?). It is a gorg taupe. I had a black gel Sephora eyeliner I loved & it was $5 I should dig it out but it’s prob dried up. Their gels wear like iron. The liquid waterproof eyeliner is basic. For $14 overpriced buy MAC for a cpl more $$ it’s not bad or anything. Better than the DS for sure! The Inner Rim Contour Gel pencil for waterline is amazing in black (Queen of the Nile) & the brown 1 I had which is MIA but avoid the white ones they are all sparklies. I want to try the Nude 1s. So all in all Sephora makes really good eyeliner! I’m so obsessed w that Outrageous Intense Gel the blue makes the whites of your eyes pop! I’m going to buy a Sephora navy pencil/liquid. Def rebuy! I hope they aren’t D.C the gel it’s my new HG! It is hard to find a navy DS liner.

Really easy to apply and convienent, seems to last me all day!!! And also I’ve had mine for over a year and i wear eyeliner practically everyother day and just finished it a couple weeks ago so you get pretty good use out of it. BUT after a couple weeks of having the eyeliner it got reallllllyyyy hard to unscrew the lid (thus the bitemarks covering my eyeliner lid) and i eventually had to attach rubber bands around the handle to give myself some traction when unscrewing the lid.
cynicalRelish7
This eyeliner really does not last. It creases, wears off, smudges down your lower eye all in a matter of hours. Would not recommend this eyeliner at all!
soreCardinal2
This product goes on really well but it doesnt stay at all the color fades and it smudges in only a few hours.
murkySnail0
There are supremely pretty colors, but like everyone says,
this eyeliner is BAD.
It comes out smoothly on the back hand, but when applyed to
the eye area, it skips like jack and jill.
It smudges easier than my lipgloss. No.Staying.Power.
Take it or leave it:)
emptyCoconut0
I am really dissapointed in these eyeliners. They’re pretty short.. ( you pay a normal price but the pencils are smaller then usual) And they don’t leave enough pigmentation! I really have to go several times over the same spot to get a little bit of visible colour. It doesn’t last at all. Real no-go if you ask me.
emptyJerky1
If you’re looking for a sharp line, this is not for you. Another con: it doesn’t last.
ashamedQuiche5
This is exactly what I was looking for, and possibly worthy of HG status. I wanted a dark black liquid liner that is easy to apply, and can be applied very thinly. That’s what this is! Easy, liquid application, very fine line, shiny, and dark. Perfect! The packaging only gets two stars because it’s ridiculously wasteful–it comes in a metal case for some reason–and price also only gets two stars because it’s $26 for an eyeliner. But neither of those things are especially important to me–it does exactly what I want, so five stars overall, and an enthusiastic “yes,” would re-buy recommendation.

I love, love, LOVE this eyeliner! I suffer from terribly oily lids and almost every liner I have tried always smudged by the end of the day. With this, I can apply it without a primer, even with a wing!, and it will stay on ALL DAY. I love that it’s easy to remove, which makes me nightly process so much easier! This liner allows me to be simple and quick in the morning! And if I mess up? Just a little q-tip and water will do the trick! Super love!!
euphoricBasmati8
I was looking for a dark blue liquid eyeliner that would make the whites of my eyes appear whiter. Although this is blue it is more electric cobalt blue than sultry dark blue. This product is to be applied to bare lids otherwise you will have issues with longevity. That said, I wear SS, foundation and sometimes moisturizer therefore the whole bare lid issue is a challenge for me. I find this liner very hard to manage as too much product is dispensed on the brush from the tube; I had to remove excess onto a tissue which is wasteful. How I got around this is I take the brush from the tube and transfer the amount of eyeliner I need to a different liner brush then I apply. I also find the brush imparts a line too thick for my taste. This is a long wearing liner in that it is not going to come off unless you wet it with water and rub gently. Be careful to clean any mistake promptly as once this sets it is like latex paint. It isn’t budging. Like blinc mascara, which removes in tubes of product that coat your lashes, this peels off the lid. Not a lousy product but one I won’t reconsider. Cobalt blue latex paint for eyeliner. Enough said.
annoyedHoopoe2
This is a darn good eyeliner. It won’t come off unless you rub, rub, rub your eyes. If you cry or tear up it’ll still stay on, but rubbing is a no-no. I’ve found that some eyeliners cause me to tear up but since this one is such a dry, stay-put formula once on the eyes, I haven’t had any problems with it doing that. I definitely like the way I can do cat eyes with it too. I have it in Medium Brown, and wow this is so rich it can actually look black!
Though it isn’t cheap and in the 20 buck range, it’s worth it, ’cause of it’s long lasting power and the fact that the tube is big. If you’re used to a brush-on eyeliner this should be a snap for you to handle. I am actually an “oily-eyelid sufferer” and few products stay on me without smudging. This has never smudged, and that’s a big deal for me! I like it better than MAC superslick because it doesn’t ever cause my eyes to water, and it really doesn’t tend to flake, nor does it dry out or have the horrible container that some liners do. Definitely recommended if you don’t mind washing it off and having it come off in pieces. I’ll deal with that because of its other great qualities! Good luck to those of you who end up liking it as I do.
obsessedSmelt4
Edit: 3 years later and multiple repurchases at full price on their website, I am still using this! It’s still my favorite eyeliner and nothing has come close to the ease of putting it on and taking it off. I’ve never looked back. 🙂
Ladies…this is your dream eyeliner product! I got this for $10 at costco after mistaking it for blinc’s mascara and could not be happier. This is the best eyeliner I have ever (or will ever) use! All their claims are true! This water resistant formula comes in a brush that I can easily use to paint a thin line (with a steady hand!) right above my lashes. It’s on just as perfect as when I applied it after my 24hr shifts without smudging – and I have OILY oily lids! My eyeshadow and UD primer will smudge before this.
To get it off, I splash some water on my eyes and gently “roll” it off. It does get a little messy and forms little balls when you do that but there’s no smearing or tugging.
I also like the metallic tube packing that the eyeliner come in. I put the liner back in after every use and I like to think that this helps prevent it from drying out.
Tip: Wipe the excess liner off on the side of the tube otherwise you have to wait longer for it to dry.
crummyRice1
HG!!! Love this liner. I was applying it with my own liner brush, but now I just use the one it came with.
I have med. brown, which is a great day or night look for my skin, and dark blue, which is a true indigo.
It goes on fast, and I can draw a thin line close to lashes, or a thicker, more dramatic line. Great for cat’s eye. Liquid liner makes my eyes look HUGE as opposed to a smokey or smudgy liner. Since I’m older, I only put the eyeliner and mascara on my top lid. I use Sephora’s smoky cream gold liner on my lower lid, which barely shows, so my eyes pop but there’s no harshness.
Blinc liner and mascara stay on all day, and come off easily with water and a very light touch of your fingers. I had PMS today and started crying for no reason, so I can even report that it’s cry-proof!
I love Blinc — I don’t need cotton balls or eye-makeup remover, so it saves me time, money and best of all, I don’t have to worry about raccoon eyes!

Decent product, HORRIBLE BRUSH!
After reading all the really positive reviews, I went out about bought the Dr. H’s liquid eyeliner in black. The pigmentation is nice but it occasionally smudges off in gaps.
The smell is a mix of alchohol and roses, whereas I’m more of a little to no fragrance kinda gal (I do LOVE the smell of rose water, but this smells weirdly unnatural, IMHO). Would be better without the scent.
The biggest issue I have with this product is that the brush is constantly splaying, which makes it hard to draw a sleek line. It takes me an extra 10 minutes to do my eye make up on days I wear this product (admittedly, not very often) because of all the time I spend cleaning up ugly blobs of product. Maybe if you used a special brush for application it would look better?
Bottom line: At this price point, I expect better. Will not be repurchasing.
P.S. I wonder if they changed the formulation or brush in the past few years… All the earlier reviews are overwhelmingly positive, and the newer ones less so.
blissfulDoughnut0
I bought this pencil eyeliner in black. I love this as I can use this as an eyeliner as well as eye shadow after using my finger to blend it. It gives this sexy smokey looking eyes. I get compliments with this. Yes, it can be a little hassle to use it as an eyeliner as it’s not really smooth. But I am happy with it. I hope to find an organic liquid eyeliner.

UPDATE:
Decided to return it. Proved to be too difficult to apply on any mornings, and too much hassle when I did have a lot of time to get the application just right because of the brush and the sometimes dry/spotty formula. I do really like Dr. Hauschka’s Kajal liner in brown (04) though, and I use that often. Highly recommend that one.
———————————————————————————————————————-
I am torn with how I feel about this product. I tried it originally at WF to see if it was worth the hefty $22. First application went on smoothly and easily, rich dark line, but it flaked a tad (maybe because I accidentally touched it). It hasn’t flaked since I bought it though.
Upon first inspection of the tube, nice weight, nice look. I ended up buying it from Dermstore because I know I can return it if it doesn’t work out. Anyway, I am still considering of whether to return it or not because of two major cons.
TWO CONS:
The brush is terrible. It is so hard to draw a straight line because sometimes it flays out or has a strand poking out the wrong way. It would be so much better if they made it a rubber tip applicator. In mornings when I’m in a rush, I never reach for this because I know it will take a while to apply. Thankfully, it dries VERY slowly, so you have ample time to wipe off any part you mess up.
The second con is that if you touch it in anyway it will completely wipe off. The slightest touch will make it come off and then you’re left with only one half of a lined eye. This is a problem for me since I don’t carry my makeup with me when I leave the house (only lip products). It will also be a big problem in the rain or if you cry. If you have hooded eyes, it probably won’t work. It definitely won’t work on the waterline (but I didn’t need it for that).
Because of these two big cons and the price, I may just go back to my Revlon one, which won’t budge. If my eyes were sensitive to commercial ones, I would maybe be more loyal to this.
The ingredients are good:
Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Alcohol, Sorbitol, Cetearyl Alcohol, Castor (Ricinus Communis) Oil, Bentonite, Camellia Sinensis Extract, Neem (Melia Azadirachta) Leaf Extract, Euphrasia Officinalis Extract, Jojoba (Buxus Chinensis) Wax, Xanthan Gum, Beeswax (Cera Flava), Rose (Rosa Gallica) Wax, Rose (Rosa Damascena) Essential Oil, Fragrance (Parfum), Citronellol, Geraniol, Linalool, Lecithin, Iron Oxide (CI 77499), Ultramarines (CI 77007), Titanium Dioxide (Cl 77891)
Pros: Rich line. Fancy, weighted packaging. Eco.
Cons: Expensive. Easily comes off. Terrible brush.
VERDICT: Value is not good since you get a so-so product for $22.
aloofHawk5
Fave liquid liner of all time. Seriously better than its synthetic counterparts in terms of quality, application, staying power and safety. Pricey but worth it.
The colour is strong black – not watery or grey. The texture is thicker than most liners which helps prevent drips/mess giving me greater control, but it does dry out faster on the brush during application. The thin brush is perfect for getting sharp precise lines. It comes in a golden metal tube which looks classic and elegant. The scent reminds me of Dr Hauschka’s Rose Day cream.
It’s not water-resistant or waterproof but lasts all day without melting. Just don’t rub your eyes as it can flake.
pridefulAntelope9
I like to keep my face quite natural looking but i’m crazy about eye make-up! Mascara and eyeliner are the most important tools in my make-up bag, and what I really love about this eyeliner, inparticular, is its absolutley tiny, tip of a brush, applicator-which results in a very fine line-just enough to define my eyeslids without looking like i’ve pen drawn it on. Despite my love for dramatic eyes this gives a much more subtle and natural look-that in ways actually looks just as good. My only con about this eyeliner (other than the tad pricey price tag) is its staying power. It lasted quite a long time on my eyelids (almost all day) but when I tried to draw a cats eye corner flick, the flick disappeared within an hour or so!
So overall, a nice product but one for a natural look.
shyOwl2
I had high hopes for this one–natural, great fine brush for that “natural” look–but two hours after I lined my eyes with it, most of it had simply disappeared. The resulting look was uneven and, frankly, strange. I want to use and support natural makeup lines, but I don’t want to look like my lashles have the mange.
mellowMare0
I really like this eyeliner, although it’s not perfect. Most of the highly rated liquid eyeliners on this site (especially those that are long-wearing) sting my eyes. This eyeliner doesn’t draw as thick a line as I would like, but it is a “natural” ingredient product and when I layer it over Hauschka’s kajal pencil, it gives a nice, deep line and lasts almost the whole day (but I don’t sweat much, but when I do, it stays on after a short exercise class).
Nice packaging, somewhat expensive, but lasts me several months with daily use.
jubilantIcecream0
I purchased this yesterday in brown. It was on sale; I figured, why not?
I found it pretty crayon-like but am determined to find a use for it–like eyebrows. Or making moustaches. Definitely too harsh for eyelids.
fondCod0
I have oily lids and a watery water line. I applied this today and it faded during the day and smeared, making me look like a racoon. don’t really like it.. but maybe I need to find some ways to make this work.
I absolutely love the price though!!
affectedEland2
Love this eyeliner! I’ve already purchased this liner twice… love the way the gold/bronze looks with my dark brown eyes.
jumpyDunbird6
simple but good eyeliner. In my experience, it stays on all day without smearing. It comes off easily enough with regalar make-up remover. I love that it has a smudger/sharpener built into the end of it. 🙂 Very comparable to Avon glimmersticks. UPDATE: only true for black. I bought a khaki color and it barely went on without ripping at my eyelids. I had to demote my rating.
culturedCur2
i got this at the soda pop tour… (JOE was a sponsor) they were giving out free samples. i got this in purple….
it was OK.
kind of waxy, but it looked nice on your lid, just not the waterline…
it kind of aged, and just turned into a crayon of sorts… 🙁
i wasnt too mad, i did get it for free…
but seeing all these rave reviews, (i did get this almost a year ago) makes me think they changed the formula…
hmmm….
joyfulZebra8
Amazing! This is honestly the best eyeliner that i’ve ever used! It’s also the least expensive! I bought the black and it lasts all day long!
resolvedDinosaur8
I bought this eyeliner in black for $4 bucks at Canadian Superstore. It’s so good! I’m totally impressed. It’s well pigmented, glides on really smooth and lasts for pretty much the entire day.
I’m surprised at how good this eye liner is, seriously. Totally recommended.
mildPie5
I bought the kohl eyeliner in milky way, and at first I was hesitant. I was looking for a eyeliner that would brighten up my eye and something I could use in my inner corners for highlight. At first, it sucked. I regretted buying it because it wasn’t smooth at all. However, second time is the charm! I tried again and it looked AMAZING! I used it for highlight and omg, I love it. LOVE. I almost bought the white, but it was matte and I wanted shimmer. This is perfect if you were looking for a shimmery white eyeliner. I really like the packaging and I would definitely buy this again.
fondToucan7
My first pencil eyeliner and my favourite pencil eyeliner.
Pro: Absolutely love the texture and that it doesn’t require any tugging to get the colour on. I only use it to line my waterline and the colour is intense (black) when applied on, which I love.
Con: I would highly recommend not using this to line your eyelid if your lids are oily like mine because it tends to smudge. By the end of the day, the colour will fade and might slightly smudge depending on what you were doing throughout the day.
Conclusion: Overall, this is my favourite pencil eyeliner, will definitely buy more since it’s a pretty decent price and good quality.
goofyGarlic8
Stay away from this eyeliner if you have greasy eyelids. I have this in kohl and the regular one. It travels to my creases in 15 minutes, no exaggeration. The worst I’ve tried.
I prefer wet n wild for cheap eyeliner.
needyRhino0
This is one of the worst eyeliners ever… it does give a fabulous sexy smudged look, but faded in less than two hours!
I bought this in a shimmering gunmetal grey color… Unless you’re willing to re-apply many times throughout the day, it’s just not worth it.
adoringToucan1
This is a great eyeliner for smudgy looks, but if you’re looking for pin point precision and a long wearing formula, this isn’t for you. I bought this on sale online for $3 in black and I admit I was disappointed at how small it was when the purchase came. I applied it to my upper lid and I had little rainbows within minutes. I guess I didn’t waste too much money when I added it to my cart on a whim, but I wouldn’t recommend it.
exactingToucan7
I have pretty oily eyelids (and dry skin everywhere else, I know, wth?). I love looking at eyeliners, but truth be told I prefer liquid eyeliner or using an eyeliner brush with some mineral shadow. I often do a cat eye or else I think my eyes look too round. I bought this in a beautiful copper shade, and just had to have it.
I didn’t buy waterproof, I bought the normal one. The SA assured me they were the same (????) and I had no need to worry about it fading. I didn’t buy it but I thought for $6 it was alright.
Phooey.
It faded, creased, and slide all around my eyes. My first true case of Raccoon eyes 🙁
Also, as someone else mentioned, it feels scratchy. And this thing does not sharpen right!!! It breaks, cracks and splinters. Ugh. I can’t use it now.
So this was a huge bummer. 🙁
I gave it one for the colour.
It’s also super small for 6 or 7 bucks, when my waterproof Annabelle works way better and is cheaper.
lyingCrackers4
i tried so hard to love this stuff. really. when my first tube ran out, i reordered. it’s great in theory. it goes on neatly, and comes off so incredibly cleanly–if you use this in conjunction with blinc mascara, you will never have raccoon eyes again, nor will you have to scour your eyelids with steel wool to remove your eyeliner. (the wand sucks, though. you’ll need to use a different brush.) problem is, it comes off cleanly about an hour into my day. after an hour, tops, it’s gone. flaked all over my face. if it would just, you know, actually last for more than an hour, it would be the holy grail of eyeliner. as it is, though, i’m going back to risking raccoon eyes (or scrubbing my eyelids raw at the end of the day to remove my eyeliner). the search continues.
aloofAntelope7
Best eyeliner EVER! I’m surprised that its not getting raved lol, oh well! I like how this liner is waterproof because it is! I have only tried black and I can compare it to Loreals intense eyeliner but WAY BETTER. I hate the packaging… It sucks alot! brush is lovely. Packaging just sucks and the wand that holds the brush.
I will only buy it again only if they change the packaging.
solemnTacos9
Best. Eyeliner. Ever. It’s not too watery or too creamy. It’s just perfect. It comes off soooo easily. Also, it’s not hard to put on. Today was the first time I ever put on liquid eyeliner, and on my second try (first try I made it too thick), I managed to put it on well enough to wear out. I love it!
Edit: After using this for a month or so, the eyeliner got really clumpy and just hard to put on right. I returned it.
