This is heavily touted as an almost magical product: a smudge-proof, waterproof, eyeliner pencil; yet soft enough to be rich and creamy, and not drag or scratch your eyelids.
The last part is true, it is very soft and rich and gives good pigment (I got the dark brown one, and the colour is lovely).
But.
It’s only smudge-proof for the first two or three hours of wear. Every hour after that makes it increasingly prone to rubbing off, or melting and migrating around on the skin, or just fading like a much cheaper eyeliner. And my skin type is dry, so for women with oily skin this could be very disappointing.
I bought this from ‘Beauty and the Boutique’ where the owner promised it would last 24 hours. :/ I’d have been delighted with 8. But 4 hours is about the best it could do before looking faint and smudgey, and that’s if I didn’t touch my eyes.
Edited to add – if you put it in the base of your eyelashes, it will however stay there for ages. Even after you’ve washed your face. But any part that’s exposed, without the support of eyelashes next to it (like a winged tip) won’t last nearly as long as it should.
It’s also very hard to get a crisp line; and it’s fiddly to sharpen (because it’s so soft), and also very wasteful, because every time you do sharpen it (and it needs sharpening before Every single use) you’re throwing two thirds of the product in the bin.
And it was really expensive! I paid 22 euros for mine.
I just should have known better than to believe a pencil could deliver all the claims made by its sellers. Although it is a better eyeliner pencil than most, it’s still just an eyeliner pencil: smudgey, imprecise, wasteful, and although I think it is waterproof, it definitely isn’t smudge-proof after just a few hours. I’ll stick to liquid liners from now on.

Being a fan of Blinc’s tubing mascaras and liquid eyeliners, I had to try their pencil. Unfortunately, the pencil was rather a mixed bag. The formula is very black and wears like iron, but the texture is so creamy that it’s impossible to really draw precise lines with it. The color goes on easily but very boldly. Chilling the pencil for a while before use helps somewhat, but that’s an extra step some may not want to take.
As a tightliner, forget it: it’s way too soft and imprecise. Most of it will get caught up in your eyelashes than right at the lash line, which them makes it a nightmare to remove.
Still, it’s a decent black liner. The price is somewhat steep, but I’d consider repurchasing it.
