It’s really good. I was a die hard user of the Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliners for many, many years, but I had a gift card to a store that didn’t sell UD and did sell this pencil liner, and I needed eyeliner, so I picked it up in the shade Cacao. First of all I really wish there were more swatches of these liners online. I had a hard time picking the shade, but I’m very happy with Cacao. It’s the perfect brown, not too dark or light, not too reddish (which is a particular problem for me with brown liners).
I much prefer this eyeliner to the UD 24/7 ones. The Lise Watier liner is less creamy but not by very much. It still applies very smoothly and easily. But the main reason I like it so much is it stays put. I apply pencil liner on my top waterline only. I like the bottom waterline to be eyeliner free – it just makes me look more awake. And with this liner, there is close to no transfer from the top to the bottom. Also, one of my makeup pet peeves is when my eyeliner collects in my tear trough. It looks so sloppy and embarrassing. I hate the feeling of glancing in the work bathroom mirror and realizing I’ve been walking around half the morning with a clump of liner there. But this is a non-issue with this eyeliner. It stays where you put it.

I needed waterproof makeup for a cruise vacation. I couldn’t decide on which color to buy, so I bought 6 different shades. At first, I thought I might’ve bought too many, but after 10 months, I find that I use all of them. They are truly waterproof, smudge proof, crease proof, and doesn’t come off until you wash it off with soap. I use them as eyeshadow more than eyeliner and I don’t need a brush to apply or blend. They glide on very smooth, then with I blend them with my finger. Ohh! So effortless easy eye makeup. My ultimate favorite shade is “Smokey eye” . When I bought the 6 eyeliners, I just thought it was a nice brown color, but one day, I was reading the different colors, I wondered if the “Smokey eye” was designed to achieve the look? So I applied it on both upper and lower eyelids a little thicker than usual and blended with my finger. OMG! I finally can do it the Smokey eye without looking like a raccoon with just one eyeliner. Never can do it with regular eyeshadow. These are my compact traveling eye makeup. I feel bad not using my Chanel eyeliners now.

Hands down the best eyeliner I’ve ever used. I have a lot of them and wear Fauve almost daily. I also love Vert Sechelle (a dark green) and the blue (Marine)? My second eye liner fav is Urban Decay, but these are better and more affordable.

I realize today that this is the only eyeliner I have ever repurchased more than once. I bought the peacock colour 4 times and the purple one 6 times over the past few years. I wear them often and get compliments a lot. I have also bought the cognac color and i pick up the holiday kits when they come out (usually 5 eyeliners in a special size and case). These last all day, good for my super sensitive eyes and colours are brilliant. I don’t know what i would do without them.

HG. Replaced MAC Powerpoint for me-hands down. There’s no comparison between the two. The Lise Watier comes in a much wider selection of colours, it last and lasts and doesn’t smear and it’s easy to put on. I puttin first thing in the morning and 14 hours later there is little change. Really impressed. And I love that this is one company that has stayed Canadian.

I bought a holiday set of eyeliners and it had a few Eye Shine ones and I love them! Last all day (which is rare for me) and goes on smoothly. It doesn’t look harsh it all. Sometimes I will just put the eyeliner on for some color and skip the eyeshadow. They are hard to sharpen though.

Sorry to be the dissenter (or voice of reason, maybe?), but I do not like this eyeliner! I can’t even remember the colour I bought, because after a month of coaxing and cajoling this thing into working for me, I tossed it into the bottom of my makeup drawer never to see the light of day again. It disappears so quickly! Now, I know I have an oily T-zone, and it’s been a very humid summer, but even with a primer it’s gone by lunch time. Maybe I’ll try it again in February. I expected superior performance from a $19.00, Lise Watier waterproof pencil, but I was disappointed.

Edit: i notice a lot of people use fauve as an eyeshadow which means they end up running through it faster. I found an exact dupe of it in liquid eyeshadow form- dries to the same finish and you can sheer it out or build it to be a bit stronger- it is LUSH eyeshadow in Sophisticated. there is virtually no difference in the colour or sheen.

I have this in Fauve and it’s a beautiful shimmery lavender taupe. I use it on lower lashline usually. It is so beautiful. As usual, Lise Watier makes the best eye pencils in the history of ever. Another smashing hit 🙂 I also have Cognac, a nice copper that’s not too orange. Edit: be sure you wash these off properly! Use baby shampoo if nothing else cuts it!

I have this in multiple colours (got them at a major “points sale” at Shoppers), and I’ve gotta say that they are the best I’ve ever used. The colour is rich and pigmented, and when they say waterproof, they mean waterproof. I have extremely dry, sensitive eyes and I need to constantly yawn/apply drops to keep them moist, and the eyeliner will stay on for a whole day even under these circumstances. In addition, I love that these will stay “wipeable” for a few seconds after you put them on, as it allows you to correct your mistakes. It also helps that these are really creamy and the way the go on shows it.
I recommend Fauve!

This review is for the colour Brun Noir. It is a true dark brown without any reddish undertones. It has shimmer running through it that is also a goldey-brown colour, giving the pencil a real depth. The formula is fantastic, really creamy to apply and then sets very well. I’d say it’s on the sheerer side compared to most pencils. However I find you can really build up by adding a few layers, if you want the colour to be opaque.
I bought this after getting the colour Fauve and truly feeling it was the best eye pencil I’d ever used! If you bought MAC Teddy but don’t like the reddish cast, and the fact that pencil only lasts 0.2 second, try this one! I bought this at full price, $18 Canadian. I don’t think that’s very expensive considering the quality. I might have to get these pencils in every colour!
