I have oily skin and was resigned to the fact that I just couldn’t ever wear eyeliner until I tried this one. It is very fiddly and requires you to hold your eyelashes down and paint along your lid (I find if my eyelashes let near the wet eyeliner I get flecks of it around my brow bone.) I then have to wait for it to dry by afterwards it is the most amazing pigmented black and it stays on all day. Amazing stuff!

It is great because it lasts a lot and has a dark consistency which is great and it is really easy to clean off your face, but after some months it gets sticky and hard to apply. A great plus of this product that is quite big, so it will stay with you for a while.

AUD$60 for a liquid liner… I made that Guerlain eyeliner investment for over 7 years but since making the move to Stila graphic liner I haven’t used the two packaged bottled lying in my draw.
The brush IS the best liquid liner brush (read brush only not talking about formula) I’ve ever used, but using it demands skillfulness. I don’t think it’s easy to work with, but when you get used to it and with lots (and lots) of practice you’ll reap the benefits.
After trying new products and comparing, I found that this isn’t the blackest eyeliner out there and holy Lord if you have curled lashes just stay away from this product. Blobs will get onto your lashes, you’ll blink or tilt your head up and next thing you know your brow line looks like Braille… then those blobs will dry and when you try to put mascara on you’ll have a really bad time.
NB: after 5-8 hours the formula will crack and peel off.
Overall, please save your money. Don’t do it.

I really wanted to like this eyeliner, but it ended up letting me down. It has a very runny/goopy texture and sticks to my eyelashes when I put it on. It can also get very sticky and dries a little too fast so it doesn’t give me time to correct any mistakes I might have. Another concern I have is this doesn’t last and cracks throughout the day. I may just have oily lids but I’ve had cheaper eyeliners hold up very well. The color I will however admit is very pigmented and black but the formulation could use some work. Overall for the price I expected a lot better and will not be repurchasing. I liked my Kat Von D liner or Stila liner a whole lot better.

Overrated. Overpriced. Off putting. I’ve been using it for about a month. I tried to like it but I just couldn’t. It got goopy and it did not have a smooth application. Basically, it doesn’t do what a $36 eyeliner should. The applicator brush gets more product at the base of the brush rather than the tip. So it was tough. At the end of the day, maybe it’s not for people living in warmer climates because it did what cheap eye liners do, the lines get soft. Winged liner for me today ruined and it smudges SO fast. Even when the lines would stay in place! Very disappointed and sticking with $8 Avon Ever Last

edit: i took good care of this but the lid cracked and the handle also snapped off when i was trying to open it in the normal way? it’s the weirdest thing. like ‘fault lines’ from earthquakes running all over the cap. anyway this leaves a hole and dries out the product inside. 🙁

edit to add: while it does not irritate my eyes, even if it accidentally gets into them, i have to echo a previous reviewer: the skin DOES itch at the end of the day (around 11 pm if i still have my makeup on). I have this issue with the Kryolan aquacolour liner too, perhaps it is an ingredient common to both? in any case not a deal-breaker because I have ONLY noticed this after hours and hours of wear, by which point I should have taken my makeup off anyway, although I never do…i stretch it to like, 2 am

I love this! It does not irritate my sensitive eyes, a first for any liquid liner, and is intensely, glossy black. The brush is wonderful. So easy to get precise, detailed pointed eyeliner looks
One thing I don’t like: it is very washable. (IN A WAY THIS IS GOOD because if you are wearing false lashes or it gets on your lashes, which it inevitably will, you can use moist Q-tips to get it off without damaging the rest of the makeup)..
So keep that in mind before purchasing.

I’ve been through 5 or 6 bottles of this. It is my HG eyeliner. It is easily the best out there. from time to time I try another one, and stray from my beloved Divinora. I come back every time. It is heavily pigmented, does not irritate the eyes, and dries very, very quickly. I would be lost without it. Never smudges. It is not cheap, but so worth it.

My favourite liquid eyeliner. Lasts a long time, packaged beautifully, and the wand has a precise tip. An advice on using the liner – don’t put too much on, otherwise it will peel off. The colour dries darker than when initially applied, so there’s no need or benefit to layering it.

this eyeliner has a very black intense color which is great but after 2 or 3 hours it cracks.so i am not sure i would buy again

13th April: UPDATE
This makes my eyes itch terribly by the end of the day which is unusual for me as I wear many make-up brands. I have downgraded my rating for it accordingly.

I would like to agree with the reviewer izzeee who said that it is not how she remembers it.
Twenty years ago, my mother had this on her dressing table and occasionally I would apply it and be so impressed with the depth of pigment and the appearance of my eyes after application. I promised myself when I was older I would buy it too and Lancome sufficed in the meantime. Well now I have bought it, the consistency seems to have changed. When I unscrew the top there is an almost rubbery gunk that is attached to the top where the liquid has emerged. Does it contain latex or rubber or some form of plastic? As other have said it does peel, which I’m sure it never used to in such a way.
Although it looks black through the glass and on a piece of tissue paper, on the eyes, it isn’t a dense, opaque black more of a slightly metallic one. The design of the bottle is still lovely, that at least remains unchanged.
