This is a wonderful and very pigmented drugstore eyeliner! When I pair it with a good eyeshadow primer + a layer of pressed powder, it lasts all day and doesn’t fade…in fact, it works even better than my pricey Tarte clay pot gel eyeliner. On my oily, monolid eyes, I have found that it doesn’t transfer or smudge; if anything, the color will just fade.
I also like the color and its subtle shimmer/sheen. It takes about 2 soft layers (or 1 if you have a firm hand) to create a highly pigmented line, and because the tip isn’t super thin, I correct the wing with a tissue. Just make sure to press the cap on tightly so it doesn’t dry out or crumble.

I’m pretty surprised by the negative reviews. Given that they’re a few years old, I wonder if Revlon has reformulated this eyeliner since then. I recently bought it so I can’t speak to the complaints about it drying out, but I really love this product. It’s a true teal, which I love (so annoying to see a product labeled as teal and have it turn out to just be a light blue or something). I think it looks gorgeous and very elegant, and it lasts all day for me. I love to pair it with a taupe eyeshadow.

This is a perfect eyeliner for summer. Colorstay eyeliners last all day on me paired with a primer like the E.L.F. one or UDP. This pencil is not totally waterproof and may fade slightly rather than run when you go in the pool or shower. It does not smudge and does not give you raccoon eyes even in the hottest weather. Some find that the pencil can dry out. This can happen if the cap is not totally flush as I have found out. Also, I sharpen this fairly frequently to keep it more creamy. This teal shade is a deep but vivid blue green and is far more wearable on most people than the bright turquoise that is being shown on the runways for summer. I have deep blue eyes, fair skin, and dark chestnut hair and this looks really nice on me with a soft bronze eyeshadow and a shimmery nude peach lip gloss.

OMG This is horrible! I own a couple of the other colorstay eyeliners and most of them are junk, the only one I like is the black one, love it actually. But the other colors suck! They are just like this one, they are dry and hard, and you have to tug really to get the color on! Hard enough that it actually even broke on me a few times. I don’t even know why I have this in my collection still, I think I’m just going to chuck it in the garbage. Needless to say, I would not recommend!

I’m so disappointed by this. I love Colorstay products so I was really excited to try the eyeliner from the line. First of all, the color barely showed up on my hand. I had to press it hard to get some color. On my eyes it’s even worse… I tried using it both above my lashes and in my waterline, and literally nothing showed up. I had to fight with it to get a hint of color which obviously isn’t good for your eyes. when i did get a color I found it hard to smudge. I gave up on it…
Here and there I pick it up and try again, but by now it had dried out completely. I will not repurchase.

The colour of this liner wasn’t nearly as intense as the box promised, unlike the other Revlon Colorstay pencils I’ve tried. When worn on its own, the teal didn’t suit my skintone (I’m East Asian, Stila tinted moisturiser in Medium 01) at all – the green was much too warm for me. Tried layering under eyeshadows – the pencil is fairly dry so if I applied matte eyeshadow over it, my eyelid looked leathery, but after some frustration, finally discovered a look that works – this liner under my Body Shop Chocolate shadow (dark cool-toned brown satin) blended with the darkest shade of Revlon’s Midnight Garnet eyeshadow quad (a cocoa brown satin). It adds a nice bluegreen undertone (a bit like one of my favourite shadows, L’Oreal HIP pigment in Intrepid) to otherwise ordinary brown shadows, and the shimmer sticks nicely onto the pencil. But I’m not repurchasing this after I run out (which will be a while, because I’ve just started using it), because it takes more time to do this green+brown iridescent look, and I might as well just brush on Intrepid as a wash rather than take the time to put on three products.

I’m really impressed by this liner. I bought it not quite expecting what I got- a beautiful, truly blue-green shade that really stands out! Well-pigmented and the color really shows up. To me it looks pretty matte, and while it is a deep shade, it’s also vibrant. The funny thing is, the picture above doesn’t look anything like the one I just bought- the pic looks like frosty/pearl kinda silverish blue. Not sure if it was just the flash. I used to have a Revlon CS e/l that looked like the one in the pic…did they reformulate it to the brighter teal I have now? hmm not sure..If anyone knows please PM me…I’m goin on a tangent…bottom line is, if you like noticeable color, teal, and lasting power, get this! You won’t be disappointed. Just be aware the color on this does pop- it’s not a neutral teal (if there is such a thing!) or pale, so there is definitely a pop of color.

Bought this today thinking it was going to be khaki like the others said but its TEAL. So i was a bit disapointed honestly & have yet another teal liner. But its ok because i do love the Revlon CS liners, they stay the best on my sensitive watery eyes. Hopefully one day they expand their color selections to include an olive & true bronze (not brown or cocoa). The only reason i say i wouldn’t repurchase is because im just not that into teal eyeliners.

This is my favorite Colorstay liner; this shade is the only one that has the ability to truly make my dark eyes “pop”. The name, however, is slightly misleading. It’s more of a jade than a true teal. It’s got a slight slimmer/sheen, to it, which is nice. As far as longevity, it serves its purpose, but that’s really to be expected with the Colorstay line.

I don’t know if I bought one that had dried out a bit, but this eyeliner, thought the color was gorgeous and the staying power was good, I had to really put a bit more force than I wanted to put color on, and I had to go over the line several times to get the intensity of color I wanted. I don’t really like having to do that, as that will lead to more fine lines for me along the lash line. No smudge, just a fade throughout the day. Pity, though, about the harshness.
