I was very excited when this came out. I usually use the KVD liquid liner but I’m always looking for new makeup. This has a very smooth, market style pen tip and a rich black color. Draws a very smooth, fluid line. However, this smudges like crazy on me. I had bought this awhile ago and forgotten about it and I used it last week in a pinch before work because I couldn’t find my regular liner. This ended up all over my undereye area and it was sort of like the outline of the wing was still there, but the rest had transferred. Sad as this has a smooth application and really inky black color to it, but it has no lasting power whatsoever. I will say that I also have the brown color and that doesn’t seem to smudge as much, so maybe it is a pigment issue?

OMG I love this. My entire life I’ve not been able to properly apply pen or liquid liners, though without fail I continue to try different products. High and low end. Anyway… my expectations were low but I really wanted a nice clean slightly winged line on my upper lid. Success! Easy peasy to apply, doesn’t dry in seconds so IF you make a mistake you can fix. Once set, stays put for a good 8 hours. And my lids tend towards oiliness. Very happy with this product.

Edit- go get yourself the Signature de Chanel eyeliner pen, its the best eyeliner ive ever come across. Skip all these ones i mention. They dont even come close.
This is perfect in drawing a thin line for begginners. Ive used the tattoo liner trooper by kvd. Stila stay all day both the original and the micro tip.
Kvd trooper tattoo liner- not a true black, Dries out very quick. good brush style tip not felt tip. Fades throughout the day. I do like this because its matte.
Stila stay all day- too shiney of a finish, felt tip, lots of product and lasts longer than kvd but not as easy to draw a good line. It is long lasting and does not smudge or transfer
Stila microtip- same as above but with a very tiny felt tip brush but still not as easy to use as a brush tip. But this is my favorite because of how small the brush is. Just too shiney of a finish.
Mac brushstroke- True black and brush tip that is super tiny. Its the easiest to use out of all of these ive mentioned. I can use one hand to put this on and other hand holding a mirror. Thats never happened before. With this I always make a perfect line every single time. I suckkkkk at lining eyes before using this. I do like this eyeliner. The only thing is that it is not a true matte and does transfer a little onto my lower lash line on humid days. I think i am going to go back to my Stila mictotip. Its longer lasting. Ive been testing out the Dior Stage liner and its pretty similar to Stila but more expensive. I dont like Mac liners, they all smuge. so this is a no repurchase for me.

I bought this as a type of a replacement for Rebeleyes (DC’d gel pen). Really they are nothing alike. I recently bought a back up because I do really like it which is saying a lot since the last Pen I liked was Kvd Trooper (~Same price point Kvd is $18 & MAC is $21). I normally hate pens. They dry out quickly but I’ve had this for a month & it’s still good. If this lasts 3 months it will be HG!! My makeup comes by dearly for me I can’t afford a $20 eyeliner every month but I wanted a back up since I was at the Mall & my dad was buying (lol!). It doesn’t say it’s waterproof on mac’s website but it is quite resilient & smudge/budge-proof, easy to draw wings, & I can get it at my local Macy’s or maccosmetics.com…..$21 makes it along w my other MAC liners (pencils, gel, Liquidlast) about one of my more expensive side of the coin eyelinersw (mufe aqua eyes rivals it but the most expensive eyeliners I have are Charlotte tilbury & EL Little Black Dress dual ended eyeliner was $30). #winning
