I have this in Earthquake which is the dark brown shade. While the product is decent it’s not any better than most drugstore gel liners like ones from Essence or Nyx. The tip doesn’t have anyway to sharpen so if you like a thin line you shouldn’t get this, or if you like to do a wing but it lasts most of the day without much fading and the pigmentation is rich and opaque. I’ve used this on a regular basis for the past six months and there’s still quite a bit left so $30 CAD for a liner that will last almost a year certainly makes this a good value. I think if you were able to be sharpen this and/or it had a smudge sponge I would repurchase.

I usually keep the black pencil around for my waterline and over the years have tried adding other colors like the navy blue and brown. I like them but don’t LOVE them – they dry out a little bit quickly so are tough to use on the waterline after a few weeks, and I don’t feel like the staying power is as great as black – but that tends to be my experience with most eyeliners.

I have this in the shade Earthquake, a dark brown. The pigmentation is really nice. It goes on so smooth with no tugging across my eyelids, and stays put all day. However, I really have to work it onto my top and bottom water lines, especially the bottom. And while it stays on my top waterline okay, it usually vanishes from my bottom waterline within minutes. It’s also not great for smudging since it dries very quickly. It’s said to have 15 seconds before setting, but I find that’s just not enough as mine stays in place almost immediately.
Overall, it’s a pretty good liner, but it’s not worth the price point for me to repurchase when there are cheaper options that still perform well.

Ouughhh my HG gel EYELINERS. Seriously I cannot get enough. They just don’t compare. I have a couple of shades: most of the pastels & the bright violet purple.
Application: First of all, they are pigmented enough where you don’t need to swipe it on your eyes constantly. Also they STICK on your waterline and STAY pigmented! I’ve always had a hard time finding gel liners, especially pastels, that stick on your waterline.
Wear time: On my waterline….so long..the longest I’ve ever had, also reapplication is easy & without clumping!
Here’s a brief pros/cons list:
PROS:
– Long lasting
– Very pigmented
– Gorgeous colour range from blacks to pastels. Some colours un-dupable
– Made in Korea
– Pretty packaging
– No tugging
– STICKS on your waterline
– No clumping during the day
CONS:
– Very pricey….
– High quality affordable alternatives by other brands
Honestly I would love to repurchase, but the price is really holding me back especially since there are just as good gel liners by affordable TRUSTED brands such as Colourpop

I wish I could give this a 4.5. It’s a really really good liner. It’s matte, creamy, smooth. It glides on. It stays in my waterline pretty well. I don’t mind the retractable and that way you don’t waste any product. I have it in the brown shade, earthquake, which is a beautiful very dark deep black brown. It dries down and doesn’t smudge once dried. It lasts all day for me. My only complaint is it’s kind of chubby. And the fine point one is almost too fine. I love the Stila width-it’s just right. I would give this one a 5 if it were the same width as the Stila pencil.

I think this is officially my new favorite liner. I have it in Deja Blue, a very light blue. It’s not usually a color I would go for but I would say that if you want to go for a bolder eye color, try the highliner. The formula is extremely matte, and stays all day, and doesn’t budge the slightest bit. It was very humid and rainy when I first wore this and it looked like I just applied it at the end of the day. When I first tried it instore on the back of my hand, it stayed on even if I kept putting my gloves on and taking them off, and even after washing my hands. I need a cleansing oil to remove it. I’ve never used any eyeliner that worked as beautifully as this one. Now if you want to smudge it, this is not your guy, and there are plenty of other options- I’d say a vast majority of liners do that, but they also don’t last as long. I just like to draw a simple line on my upper lid, and it does a great job for that. Also, note that there is an inbuilt sharpener, if you want something more precise.

I have this in the shade (Whirl)pool- it’s a gorgeous teal blue/green. I love wearing blue eyeshadows/eyeliners so it was my first choice.
What I love:
– it’s extremely pigmented,
– long-lasting, both on eyelids and waterline,
– sets into smudge-proof formula,
– before it sets you can smudge it without any effort,
– great packaging- twist off so you don’t need to sharpen it,
– lovely selection of colors- I’m so going to buy the shade “Out Of The Blue”.
This brand holds a very special place in my heart so I may be a bit biased but seriously, most products from MJB I’ve tried worked extremely well- this eyeliner included.
