I got this after getting the Roses palette. I opted to skip the nude palette as I have UD Naked Basics. I really really like this. For a long time I avoided CG products outside of the mascaras becasue the quality was just bad – chalky and poorly pigmented. This is the opposite. It’s buttery, pigmented, very scant fallout and the golden tones range from light to deep, with a nice mix of mattes, shimmer and metallics in nude, golden, bronze, chocolate, coppery and khaki tones. I don’t often go for the darker shadows unless I’m getting super dressed up for night, but I have played around with all the colours in this palette and enjoyed them. I have pale yellow-olive toned skin, medium golden brown hair and dark brown eyes and this suits my complexion and colouring, but I also think this would work on just about anyone of any skin or eye colour. Great value for the price. I’d bought the Maybelline nude palette last year and wound up turfing it because I found it to be mostly chalky and poorly pigmented. This is a real winner for a drug store palette.

I saw this palette in CVS and decided to take a chance on it…so pleased that I did! I have UD Nakeds 1 and 2 and I find myself using this inexpensive little palette much more often! I have very sensitive eyes, and there are certain colors that I cannot use in any brand…violet, pink, burgundy, etc. It must have something to do with pigment allergies. In any case, this little compact is full of great brown-gold based colors, both matte and frosted. The frosts are a bit soft, but if you apply with a brush and tap it, there is no problem, at all. Had I found this first, I could have saved over $100 for what I spent on UD palettes! I am going to purchase a second Goldens palette while they are around, this offers a range of colors I can use to give different looks and still not bother my eyes. Don’t expect the extreme pigmentation of KVD shadows, but that is not a worry, because these colors can be built up. My favorite palette since KVD discontinued her Ludwig palette!
