All matte shadows at a drugstore price is such a good deal. These Hard Candy shadows actually are more pigmented than Maybelline The Nudes palette, so I reach for this more. I am able to create everyday simple eye looks, and the palette is really versatile. If you’re looking for cheap neutral matte eyeshadows, look no further!

I had never heard of HardCandy cosmetics probably because I don’t have a Walmart in my area and I beleive this brand is only sold there. Anyway, I stopped into one recently while visiting another town and came across this pallettte of neutral matte eyeshadows. wow! I am so impressed I have used it every day since then. The shades are all buttery soft with lovely pigment pay off. Wearing this over a swipe of foundation as primer, this lasts me the entire day with no fading or budging. I like this palette more than many others I own which cost me up to 10x as much. I took off a couple stars because the packaging is cheap, crappy looking plastic, but it’s not that big a deal to me!

Picked this up on a whim while shopping at Walmart. I started to second guess myself and put it back since my past purchase of some of the “Top Ten Eyeshadow” palettes were uninspired and the palettes wound up in a box with other unused or unliked products that ended up in the trash or given to someone else to try. I decided to spend the $6, roll the dice and take a chance.
I am loving this cheap, little palette. All the colors in this one are matte, smooth, buttery and pigmented. For $6 this one outperforms Tarte’s Tarlette palette which was a huge disappointment and not worth the $44 or so that I paid. This collection, on the other hand, is worth far more than $6 and I have used it pretty much everyday since I found it @ Walmart. The colors are neutral and remind me of the Bobbi Brown Nude and Navy palette from a couple years back. The colors range from beige, taupe and ginger browns but also has some nice darker colors to define and line or create a dark, smokey look. The darker colors, including a beautiful navy, blend just as nicely as the lighter colors…nothing dry or chalky about these.
I am so impressed with this one that I am going to find 1-2 more to stash since anything I seem to like from Hard Candy sells out, is limited edition or just becomes impossible to find. If you come across this one, throw it in your basket – you will not regret it.
