Lovely peridot green color with a reddish brown base and a gold shift! It’s a very simple shadow to use if I’m in a rush and don’t have time to do a more elaborate look, but still want something exciting. The formula is semi-sheer. Whatever is in the shade turns up as a terracotta. I have added a picture, and all of the terracotta color is solely due to Tea Garden. What is in the light has a golden green shift – there’s both green and gold shimmer. The quality of the eyeshadow is very good: the color doesn’t need a primer or to be wet to show up full force (as mentioned, it is sheer). Of course, you’ll be able to make this more full coverage if you use a finger to apply or foil the shadow. All of the Colourpop eyeshadows I have last on me all day long, and I would definitely recommend checking them out.
EDIT: from pictures, this shade looked like it was similar to Sideline from Colourpop, but when I did a side-by side comparison, they are actually VERY different: Sideline is more forest-green (cool green), while Tea Garden is more grass-green (lighter and more yellow-toned green) and golden. There’s much more gold in Tea Garden than in Sideline – when they are side-by-side, it looks like Sideline has NO gold compared to Tea Garden. The shimmer in both of the shades are actually quite similar in size, but Sideline has slightly finer shimmer, which means that there’s slightly more fallout with Tea Garden.
You can buy these as only a pan or with a little box. The box is very cute, with a max size mirror. The box is useful for those wanting to only bring a couple eyeshadows around, but I wish Colourpop would make some empty 4-6 shadow palettes, as that would be much more useful for me personally :]
