I bought Swimming to pair with Humid, but that turned out to be a look that screamed GREEN! Then I discovered that if I wore Steamy underneath Swimming, it became the most gorgeous summer teal, and it has become one of my new favorite looks.

I’m on the fence about MAC’s Swimming. It’s a beautiful gold/yellow based green but it can make me look sallow if I’m not careful. (Asian NC30)
I prefer MAC’s Lucky Green as that’s a more vibrant green that definitely brings out my brown eyes compared to Swimming.
Maybe it’s a matter of finding the right colour combination to work with Swimming.
If I do, I’ll revise my rating but so far, it’s 3.5 lipsticks.

A lovely grassy green! The texture is great, a bit of sparkle but nothing over the top.

This is a beautiful light green colour. It reminds me of plants when they first sprout/germinate. I put it on in the middle of our frigid Canadian winters to give my face a hint of Spring colour.
When I googled swatches of this, everybody seemed to wearing it quite heavily. On me, it looks most lovely as just a slight wash of colour so that it doesn’t scream, “I’m wearing GREEN!!!”. The glitter particles are not overbearing and didn’t fallout onto my cheeks.
I chose this colour because it did not have the yellow tone that MAC Lucky Green has. That being said, it wears well when paired with MAC Goldmine, for example, or just all by itself.

Swimming was one of my first MAC eyeshadows. In fact, I think it was my first. I have had it for about 7 years or so. I don’t use it that often only because I feel like greens tend to bring out the red in my face, which I don’t even have red in my skin. The key to wearing this color, in my opinion, is pairing it with a darker color as well. I like to pair it with Club and also Coppering. I believe I have also tried this with Vex. Which obviously isn’t darker but it has that green duochrome so it looks neat with swimming! This color is a perfect leafy grassy green with silvery small glitter pieces. I don’t find that the glitter falls out either.

If you like a bright green I would recommend this. This green is not too clownish, an it applies true to it’s color in the pan. My only gripe is that it has some silver glitter which creates a bit of fall out on me.

This is a nice medium green. It isn’t too bright and it has some silver glitter to it. It isn’t as heavily pigmented as I would like, but if you put enough on, you can get a good bright color out of it. It also works well wet.
