I wanted this because it’s a duochrome. I wasn’t quite sure what color to expect though, as this is described as “a burgundy with a ton of duochrome glitter”.
I’m currently about an NC20, very yellow-olive skin. In the packaging, this looks like a light mauve with lots of lime-teal-colored glitter. It’s kind of a strange, dingy color. At first, I didn’t like it, as I couldn’t find a transition color that looked good with this. Anything brown or nude didn’t quite work with this eyeshadow – the colors clashed. Anything corally I had was too bright for this. Finally, I tried a color from a discontinued Colourpop quad (Vacation Mode by Eva Gutowski) called Teeny Bikini. It’s kind of a mauvy pink – similar to Made To Last single shadow.
When I had found the perfect transition, this eyeshadow looked great! Because of the greenness of my skin, a lot of pinks can make me look unwell, but Party of Five doesn’t, because of the dirty undertone of the shadow. It looks like a very pretty warm pink and reflects a silvery-green where the light hits it. Looks very nice with my skin tone and brown eyes, but not as reflective as in the pan on my skin tone, as the lime shimmer kinda blends in with my skin 😛
The texture ia really nice and easy to blend. The color pay-off is good. I always use fingers with these cream shadows. Last all day without fading, as all Colourpop shadows.
