This is a beautiful luxury palette. The shadows blend like butter. Overall, the colors are neutral, but not unique. I do not think it’s worth the $99 price tag. I picked it up on sale at the Sephora VIB sale for 20% off and for that price, feel like it’s worth it. The only negative is the wonky clasp on the palette. I thought that the palette should close with a nice snap. I pressed a little too hard waiting for it to snap shut and broke the clasp. A really poor design. Be careful when opening and closing!

This palette is amazing. I never buy holiday specific items, and never splurge on high end products, but I am 31 and decided it is time.
This palette, is…….AMAZING. I cannot believe I wasted years confused by products that just dont blend, but my God…this palette blends like BUTTER. It’s truly amazing. So happy I got this. Its currently out of stock too!!
The fact these shadows have nearly ZERO FALLOUT is just mind blowing PERFECT.
Only grips are that some of the colors are too similar. I wish there was a blue, or silver….? The lid snaps shut very weirdly, almost like I cannot hear it snap shut and am unsure if its closed or not.
Just insanely fabulous though I cannot complain.

Absolutely gorgeous packaging that picks up fingerprints like a seasoned detective. $99.00 plus tax is very steep for a palette. Even though the eye shadows a just a tad smaller than the average MJ palettes and the price difference between the regular palettes and this one is huge $55.00 vs $99.00 my issue with this gorgeous looking palette is as follows: The very first top row is so pale/light and similar to each other that you pretty much get 5 shades that look like one another. The pigmentation of certain shades is not as pigmented as expected. The shades are not very unique, you can most definitely find a palette that can offer similar shades for half the price. And I’m sad that MJ did not include a palette duster, it will get scratched very fast. Is it worth buying it? No. I’m still wondering whether I should return or keep it. In a nut shell, it’s beautiful, but not unique or better than any other prestige palette, just more expensive.

The price is horrifically steep but this is an absolutely beautiful palette that is so versatile.
Formula:
The shadows are the same texture as the Style Eye-Con No. 7 palettes and having used both, the quality is just as good in this bigger palette. The shadows are not hard, but not overly soft either (I would say softer than the Urban Decay shadows, not as soft as the Lorac shadows). They are super pigmented and easy to blend with absolutely zero fall out. The formula is equally amazing for the mattes and shimmers.
Lasting power:
Lasted 8 hours with a primer without creasing or fading. I have not tried these without a primer or for longer than that. I have pretty normal to dry eyelids.
Colors:
There are 20 colors: 9 mattes, 3 glitters and 8 shimmery shadows.
Mattes: 3 very light shades with different undertones (neutral, cool, warm), a peach, a light brown and four darker shades, a cool gray, a warm brown-ish gray, a purplish maroon and a dark brown. I don’t often use lighter shadows very much but they are very pigmented and excellent for the brow bone. The light brown is a standout for me and I’ve been using it loads as a transition color. It works beautifully for blending out a smoky eye.
Glitters: a black with goldenish glitter, dark brown with plummy glitter and a navy with silver glitter. I don’t wear glitter so I could have done without these three shades but they are certainly beautiful if glitter is your thing.
Shimmers: The entire second row is to die for. There is your standard golden/bronzy/silver shades but the bright copper and especially the khaki green are are standouts.
18 of these shades are new and limited to this palette.
Packaging:
Similar to the Style Eye-Con No. 7 but is a large squareish package. It looks super sleek. I can never do my make-up in those small palette mirrors but the mirror in this one is enormous. Lighter colors on top and darker colors arranged on the bottom.
Price:
The palette is 16 grams of product and at $99 that is $6.18 per gram. For comparison: $8.68/g for the Marc Jacobs Style Eye-Con No. 7 palettes, $4.77/g for the Lorac Pro palettes, $3.46/g for UD Nakeds, $6.66 for Mac Pro pan shadows. Yes, the price is still a steep but I personally think the quality is worth it and I certainly like the formula more than some more expensive shadows. If you have been wanting to try some Marc Jacobs, this is certainly a better deal than the 7 pan palettes.

Bottom line: expensive, but worth it.
