I’m based in the UK and I reviewed this with the on-line retailer that I bought it from. I gave an honest but poor review and they published it, but 2 days later it was gone. I can only think someone wasn’t happy as my review was and still iswas the only review on line in the UK so far…..are all the others poor too? Well, here is my review. Firstly, the price point of this should warrant a good quality eye shadow palette and with his name on it, you expect that it will be. The packaging is cheap, all cardboard. It’s also made in China, where it’s cheaper to manufacture cosmetics too. I was disappointed, but hoping that the shadow formula would still be good. On initial swatching, the mattes and glitter formulas seemed quite good, but they perform so differently on the eyelids. I am pale skinned and there’s a mid toned Matt called Vintage, which doesn’t even show up. The mattes blend out very well, but they lose a lot of depth, so have to take a lot of building and I mean a lot. I would rather have more control with a more pigmented shadow than have to dip into the pan four times to get required depth. Due to this, they are very powdery. There’s a lot of very fine powder kick back with all the shadows and with the glitters, which are actually quite nice, but there’s a lot of glitter fall out onto the face within minutes. Some of the mid-toned brown mattes are similar in shade and tone, which disappoints too. The shimmer metallics are ‘flat’, really flat, none shimmer. You will be disappointed like me if you are looking for anything like that. I applied with finger too and it made no difference. There’s no really light shimmer metallic either, apart from a very light pink (which looks white in the pan, so is deceiving when buying on line) but as there are no other real pink toned shades within the palette, one or two have red undertones, it looks odd paired with any of the mattes. Staying power, in the times I’ve kept the shadows on my face, is good, with little fading, but I’ve always disliked the looks these give. I have used various primers with this palette ( Anastasia, P Louise, urban decay) and each time have either had to remove my shadows or I haven’t been happy. I won’t be using this again and it’s such a waste. It’s too expensive and there are a lot better out there for nearly half the price.
