Found the MAC shiny pretty things eye party smoky palette at winners for $24 CAD. I was really looking forward to using it and still will but the quality just isn’t typical MAC quality! The green sparkle one flakes, the blue has no blue Payoff- just turns into a black. Most of the shadows have a ton of fall out which is weird because my MAC single shadows are usually great. The brush it comes with is also low quality. The bristles are thin and firm and uneven which make blending hard.
Packaging is gorgeous but that’s it. Sad. I usually love MAC but will always buy from the MAC store.

It’s a beautiful pallets. I rate it a 3 bc it contains those lustrous eyeshadow that go on flaky , so when you apply them you can’t even see them and they fleck all over your face . A way to fix this is yo dip your brush in the shadow then spray w mac fix spray and apply over a primed eye. Still i shouldn’t have to do this. I wouldn’t buy this again and doubt I’m ever going to finish this one I have .

I usually pass on the holiday gift items – especially the eye palettes – from MAC. I never feel that the formulations are the same on the shadows as the regular line. And the color combinations are a little too “difficult” for 63 year-old eyes.
But I played with this palette and purchased it immediately! The shadows blend beautifully and even the glimmers allow me to create some subtle but defined looks. And it’s $30!
The colors have “holiday/winter names” ( except for Carbon) but you can see close dupes to Wedge/Omega, Brun, etc. And it comes with a useful brush!
MAC upped their game this year – there is a lot of competition out there – and this palette is a worthy contender.
