I found this one sitting around in a drawer somewhere, and I have no idea how it got there in the first place, because it is simply gorgeous! I love using this on the outer corner of the eye when I have a bright shadow all over the lid, just to darken it and make it a little less in your face. It also makes a much more natural smoky eye than straight up black, so it’s good for that too. The shimmer is not as noticeable as it might appear in the pan, and the shadow itself is smooth and very pigmented. If I only take a little bit of product, I find that it also works amazingly well for filling in eyebrows as well!
The size of this product is large enough (2.5g) that I don’t think I would ever repurchase, even if I could – I think it might be discontinued, unfortunately, so repurchasing doesn’t seem to even be an option.

This is simply a beautiful color. Deep, shimmery purplish brown that is great as an eyeliner or accent color for semi-sultry look. Elegant. I wear it daily.

This is another one of my favourite eye shadows. In uni this was practically the only eye shadow I had and I used it all the time for high table dinners. I love to use this for smokey looks, its really wearable.
I use to use this on its own and it stays on for a good couple of hours, but I thing this looks nicer when paired with other eye shadows as its not as shimmery as it looks in the pan and can look a little flat instead.
Don’t really have much complaints about this, it was a little more expensive than I would like, but its lasting for a very long time and doesn’t look like I’ll hit pan anytime soon.

Black Plum is described on the Bobbi Brown website as “dark brown plum.” It seems to me as more grey than brown. It is actually quite sheer but can be layered. I haven’t quite has as much success with this shade as I have the other BB shadows. In fact, the matte Black Plum works much better for me than the shimmer wash. I don’t know why. But I like the color, and I am going to keep pairing and blending it with other shades until I get it right. Ha. Edited to add: Mission accomplished. Black Plum shimmerwash is now blending nicely with many shades. I especially like it with Fawn. It also actually works quite well alone, as it isn’t too dark. Very nice shade.

I do a clean semi smokey cat eye everyday and this is my favorite shadow for that look. I’ve tried to use MAC black tied and beauty marked for that smokey look but both just came off as too harsh no matter how little I put on. But I do advise you to most definitely use a light hand when applying this to make it an everyday wearable look. I have a light olive complexion with big dark brown eyes and love plum/brownish shadows but their always either too plum or too brown or too black…except this one which is a perfect balance of plum, brown and black. BB sell two versions of this a shimmer and a matte version; trust me get the shimmer it’s so much easier to blend and just looks better on. This may seem a little expensive but the BB pot it comes in is twice the size of MAC’s shadow pots and you don’t have to use nearly as much because it’s so pigmented.

I’ve been using this as my signature color for a couple years now and it creates a really nice smokey eye. The color really flatters my skin tone, and it makes my eyes pop. My only complaint is that its a dark color and darker colors always crease… so sadly by the end of the day…the color is a bit less attractive :/. I switched over to a more natural color called all that glitters by mac and its wonderful for an all day look. I still use this BB color on special occasions and pair it with my lighter mac shadow. I would recommend this product but just be aware of its span throughout the day.

Most of the people reviewing this e/s are using it strictly as an eyeliner. This is dark and scary in the pot, but goes on rather sheer with the option to layer and build the color. I have olive skin with dark, almost black eyes, and it looks so great as an eyeshadow. Anyone with dark eyes could definitely were it as an e/s, not just an eyeliner. If you apply it with your finger and smudge it a little you can easily create a nice smoky eye without much effort.

Very nice to use as an eyeliner! Like it even better than the gel liners! Deep, dark, black plum color, just like its name. Would repurchase.

This is a great dark plum colour with not too much shimmer to use as an eyeliner but don’t try to tightline with it as it runs.

I really like the color of this, it shows up more black than plum on my eye, but it is not an overwhelming dark black. I like the texture, I actually like the container, I fell like I can get to the e/s better than a flip top. It does so up with some shimmer on the eye. It will take a long time to use this up.
