I bought this in the shade Cloud, which is a soft neutral pale pink with a touch of lavender. It’s gorgeous in the tube, gorgeous swiped. After applying, it looks great – has a soft, smooth, shimmery, almost wet looking gleam. I was really impressed, it looked uncomplicated, but really brightened up my eyes. Unfortunately, after about two hours, it dries down, the gleam disappears, and it looks like any old powder shimmer shadow in the same shade range. Adding more on top just makes it look dry and cakey. I guess you could say the staying power is good, but that’s no consolation when the way it looks totally changes.
I have normal skin, my lids don’t get oily, and I’ve tried it over a few different primers and concealers, I’ve tried applying with a finger, with a brush, a thin layer, a thick layer, a few layers – all with the same results. It’s too bad, because it really does look great at first.

I got this in a mini duo along with my hg liquid eyeliner by Stila. I was pleasantly surprised at how much i adore this liquid eyeshadow. Ive always been a fan of Stila Kitten but its been ages since ive owned any. Ive been really obssessed with rose gold monochromatic looks and this liquid eyeshadow is gorgeous as a lid topper or just a pop in the center of the lids to give an extra oomph and glow. It is a champagne leaning silver pink, my CT Jean Cream eyeshadow pulls a lot more neutral gold peach. Ive used this as a one lid look to the beach with some mascara and it held up pretty well. It did crease little bit and i am impressed because i have extremely oily lids. I did not use a primer under this and it held up great. I dont use too much, just a dot on each eye and blend. The color is not stark or ashy. Its just the right amount of shimmer and glow! Downside is that this dries very quickly so you have to work it fast.
Edit, ive been using this in my inner corners instead of all over the lids. This really brightens and catches the light. Id def purchase this again in the mini duo if it comes with the eyeliner. I wouldnt buy this on its own, its not a must have.

I actually think this liquid shimmery shadow is really hard to blend. I tried it out in kitten, grace and twig. The lighter colours were ok, it is pigmented and looks beautiful. But the blending is rly a bitch. It also sets in with lots of creases.

These are excellent! I love these and the glitter one’s as well. They are super easy to use and what I really like is that with my watery eyes they last. These shimmer liquid shadows are great because they do not flake or fade.
They last till I take it off and they are such pretty colours. My favorite shade is Cloud it’s such a pretty lavender duo. I love liquid eye shadows and with these I wish I could have them all. They are just so easy and fun to use.

After watching Manny MUA do Paris Hilton’s makeup on YouTube, I picked this up in the color Grace. I really have more eyeshadows than I know what to do with. This product works with most of them. It is a soft pearly taupe color. It would work with most eye colors and is neutral. Imagine Urban Decay Side Car shadow from the original Naked but with a higher impact. The shadow isn’t sparkly. It is a high impact shimmer. It does not look clownish. It also lasts all day on the lid and does not budge. To do my take on the Paris look because I have a similar eye shape (a little deep set with a lot of lid space) I used Sienna from my Anastasia Soft Glam as my main crease color. Then I used a narrow flat brush to work the dark brown in that palette thinly into the the center of the crease from the outside in. Then I used Sienna on the lashline with the same brush to map out my line and lined with my Pixi brown liner. Then I worked that into the lower lash line. Then I softened and smoked that with the dark brown. Then I added grace on the lid. Grace seemed cooler in tone then the other colors. I would not have tried that before. I actually really liked it. It added just enough contrast and pop to be super flattering getting strangers to ask me what I was wearing all day. I like it better then I do wearing a darker shade and a very light shade like champagne or cream. It is more flattering with my eye shape. I could tone it down and just use Grace on it’s own and have it look good too. It’s versatile enough not to be garish for day and be enough to add pop to a night look as well.

I don’t love this product. I prefer a shimmer powder shadow that I have more control of and can blend and combine shades easier. I don’t like simple one swipe shadows much and I prefer glitter and glow on those days. I find these to be too simple and boring on my lids. if you like this then the price is great cause they last forever and the packaging is pretty.

I have finally talked myself into buying this beautiful shimmer eyeshadow!
I have it in the colour kitten and am so pleased I bought it.
It applies beautifully to the lid, although I use my trusted cream eyeshadow brush rather than the applicator. The colour is super flattering, even to my older eyes. Well worth buying, or at the very least swatching.

**(Please be aware this is NOT to be confused with Stila’s ‘GLITTER and Glow’ (gold lid) as there are already 2 review sites in MUA)
Shimmer and Glow (rose gold lid) series does NOT have any glitter. It is pure shimmer and sheen. Lovely creamy consistency, applies easily on the eyelid with applicator. For a sheerer appearance, apply a small stroke and tap ( with clean fingertip or brush) along eyelid to achieve desired coating. It dries fairly quickly, no heavy or tacky feel. There is absolutely no fallout. I apply powder shadow on my crease or both corners of my eye after applying shimmer and glow, it seems to stay put. Primer is not necessary, seems to last all day, 8+ hrs on me. I do like the different shades in this series a lot more than the glitter and gold. I do wish Stila would settle w/ the nudish- rose gold champagne colours as I feel they are all starting to look quite similar and tbh boring. I do prefer bold colours. Since it’s launch, I’ve purchased Pigalle a deep burgundy/cranberry, La Douce a gorgeous olive/army green with gold undertone and Starlight a soft neutral champagne great for halo eye effects. I wear these alone or with other eye shadows for different eye effects.
Overall, great product option if you dislike glitter but want the shine. Exceptional application.-quick and easy Really enjoying these liquid eyeshadows! Looking forward to buying other colours in this series.

I have these in Kitten, Cloud, Starlight, Grace and a limited edition, Boheme. I waited until Stila had a sale and got 25% with free shipping to get 2 of them, the others I paid full price for.
Descriptions of the colors I have:
Kitten (Shimmering vibrant nude pink)
Grace (Shimmering rosey taupe)
Starlight (Shimmering light gold champagne)
Cloud (Shimmering lavender with gold pearl)
Bohème (Shimmering pale lilac) – Limited Edition
Description from the website:
Glisten and gleam with Stila’s NEW Shimmer & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow – rich, beautiful color with a high shimmer sheen, minus the glitter!
The pearl-packed translucent base offers versatile wear. Apply a sheer layer for day or an added layer for nighttime drama. A truly unique formula – over 40% water gives a barely-there, refreshing feel and smooth color laydown. The non-tacky, non-transfer, adhesive base means minimal fallout – no primer needed!
I love these. My least favorite is Grace. My favorite is Kitten followed by Boheme, They are so easy to use and stay on all day long. You do have to work fast because they dry fast and once they are dry, they are not moving. I find they stay on longer with no primer on the lid, but they are easier to spread with primer but they work either way. If I get too much it can be a little more shimmery than I want so I just put a little powder shadow over it to tone it down. Kitten and Starlight are more shimmery than the others. Boheme is stunning! Cloud is nice too but I was hoping it would look a bit more like their old power shadow named cloud and it really doesn’t. A couple of drops is all it takes. I dab it on then smooth it out with my finger or a brush. I always get compliments and people ask what I am wearing. If you want a shimmer that will stay put, these are great! I will definitely use these up.
Nice job Stila and nice to go back to Stila, I will always have a soft spot in my heart for Stila because I so enjoyed their pans back in the day and so many of their shadows were so gorgeous. I wish they would bring back Cloud, Sun, Puck and many of the ones that have now disappeared. They had a trio called Due which was 2 peaches and a brown. I bought about 7 of them and just unsealed my last one. Those 2 peaches are so pretty. Lots that look like them or are similar but they are never quite as pretty as these 2 peachy colors…. Ok done reminiscing.
