I came across with this eye shadow while I was having a makeup session with a makeup artist. I said I don’t like warm colors on my eyes and I don’t want a heavy makeup so he used this color and I loved it and purchased it that day. I went to a wedding with that makeup and my makeup looked lovely, he even loaded my pictures on his instagram account and pictures look great.
What he did was first did a base color on my lids, and a transion color , lined my eyes with a black eyeliner pencil then went over the liner with a dark cool toned brown to soften the look of pencil and extend the brown to my socket line with a blending brush. He grab SP881 and applied it to my lid lightly. It is so pigmented that you dont need to put a lot of products. Later he applied that dark brown again a little more to add more dimention to my eyes and did a liquid liner with a flick and put on some falsies.
Now back to this color, this is a lavenderish color not a true lavander but the color is on the cooler side . I uploaded swatches , have a look at it. One swatch is on my tanned hand and the other one is on the inner side of my arm where the skin is not tanned. I am NW20. I dont like heavy make up looks , today I used this color for a day makeup and it looked perfect. I just applied a little less than the makeup artist. Not too shiney, not a glitter ball effect . A dusty lavender color with some shine. The color is also very buildable . One coat just adds a little bit color and some shine. Second coat truly shows both the color and shine.
The packaging is also great , has a minimalistic design and securely holds the loose shadow.

I am huddled in my corner, weeping. I just received my package of Kryolan products, and I was all a-twitter with excitement. I have owned my Kryolan Aquacolors for years and love them. The Satin Powders, however, are not a happy purchase. If you have ever bought inexpensive pigments like LA Colors, or Santee, or LA Splash, then you have seen the Kryolan product. Not really a shimmer, but a micro-glitter. Think ice skating competitions and toddler beauty pageants. The SP881 looked like it would be a beautiful violet on the ordering page, but in real life, it is an extremely light, barely lavender sparkle. No pigmentation at all – in order for it to show on the eyelid, you have to pack on so much product that you get the Titania-Queen-of-the-Fairies look from the fallout. That said, I would add that the sparkle is ground finely enough that it is not a disco ball sparkle. It’s very similar to the BE diamond dust or MAC gold shimmer powders from a few years ago. All I really actually like about it is the inner cap liner that allows a brush to grab the pigment without the risk of spills. Nice packaging, but not at all a product I would purchase again.
