This was a nice surprise. Essence products can be a hit or miss and this is definitively a hit. The quality is extremely good not only for a drugstore brand but also compared to other high end brands. Perfect coverage and intensity, no fall out and longevity with or without primer. I have to say that the one I bought had a sticker on with “New improved quality” so maybe the older ones will be less good. In terms of colours it is very similar to Estee Lauder recent Envy Sculpting 5 Colours Palette in 02 Ivory Power. There is a slightly satiny cream-white highlighter, a semi-matte “greige” base, a cool medium satin taupe and a matte coffee brown that is almost black. Every shade is in the cool range and on my lids the taupe has almost a purplish hue which brings out the green of my hazel eyes. I wanted to buy the EL palette but after having found this I’m so happy that I don’t need the other one anymore.
