This is such a great sparkly colour, I love to put it over a black lipstick, to give it an extra something. However, the package is not very userfriendly. Either that or I’m too clumsy cause I often end up spilling some of the pigment when I open it.

This is soooo pretty, it just a charcoal grey/black but the sparkle is amazing! I have uploaded a picture but it just doesn’t do it justice….BUT i just hate the packaging! it spills everywhere when you open and and gets too messy, Illamasqua pigments come with a small sticker over the opening when you buy it new and I would recommend keeping this sticker on so that it doesnt spill everytime you use it.
Other that that, I found it pretty easy to work with, its easy to blend and considering its a loose powder i didn’t get that much fallout. I’ve mostly used it blended with other pigments and over a eyeshadow primer and it seems to last all day
So great product + awful packaging… not sure if i would get this again or go for something similar thats designed better.

Illamasqua NEED to work on there pigment packaging I don’t know how many times I’ve opened the lid and have it spill everywhere and waste heaps of product. Also the price is quite high for only 1.3g of product. Other than those downfalls the pigments are great love there colour range

Android is the second pigment released as part of the Dystopia collection. A pretty charcoal packed with silver glittery flecks.
As soon as I saw this, I crumbled & had to get it. It’s beautiful and makes for a super-glam smoky eye. However, I have found Android to be a bit more tricky to work with than my other Illamasqua pure pigments. I’ve tried applying over a sticky base (TFSI whilst still tacky) and by the end of the evening, it seems to wear away. I’ve tried foiling it on using Illamasqua’s sealing gel and after a while, Android has flaked off in places. It could be that I’d gotten my brush too damp so I’m going to try this method again. I’ve also used it with MAC’s Blackground paint pot as a base & once again, it seemed to lose some of its depth by the end of the evening.
I’m planning on trying it with my Bobbi Brown gel liner as a base & dampening my brush with a touch of Fix +.
That’s not to say it completely loses all colour, but when it wears away it becomes more of a lighter grey with silver sparkles. Still pretty, but I really want it to stay looking as it does upon intial application.
I’m not giving up just yet because it’s far too pretty.
Packaging is typical of Illamasqua’s pure pigments; a square pot with a small opening to let the pigment out.
I would repurchase just because it’s so beautiful but if you’re put off by having to work so hard with this, maybe MAC’s Dark Soul pigment would be a better altenative.
