I love this eye shadow palate. The colors make blue/green eyes pop. It naturally brings out their beauty without being overwhelming.

Great palette from EL.
Very luxurious feeling packaging which I adore.
All of the shades are warm.
1st shade champagne with shimmer, 2nd matte pink (think baby pink but warm), 3rd is wonderful mix of gold and copper, 4th is light warm brown and 3rd dark brown with red undertones.
I have to apply these shadows with sponge or with my fingers, because application with brushes does not work for me. Shadows are very pigmented, go on smooth and blend beautifully. When I use the darkest shade around my lashes, I dont have to use a liner anymore. This would be my HG palette if I wasnt so stupid as to order it online without ever seeing it in person. I was looking for perfect everyday palette, but these shades are too warm for me so I use it only when I have “feel like warm colors” day. But I think it would be perfect natural palette for warm undertones. I clicked “yes” on would I buy this again, as to not ruin stats of this great palette because of mistake I made when buying it.
I highly recommend this palette due to its packaging and quality.

I was looking for a natural palette for everyday that will make my blue-green eyes pop. And this is it! The color are a bit sheer (perfect for everyday) but very blendable, and the result is professional and polished, just the way I like it! I’m a nurse and my makeup has to be practical so I can get out of the door fast in the morning. All the colors in this palette compliments each other, and I use and like all of them. It’s a plus that these can be applied both wet and dry. The darkest shadow is a perfect liner for green eyes!
Edit 12/20/2016: I have used these so much since I bought them, and can already see dips in three of the shadows. I really love these for everyday. and they look nice for everyday. Have gotten a lot of compliments when wearing them!

I had the exact opposite of the last reviewer on this product. I love the colors and the packaging is really nice. The navy and gold packaging is very luxe and sturdy. The colors in the pan are absolutely gorgeous so I was very excited to try this palette. But I found the color payoff to be very poor and the fallout upon application is beyond ridiculous. I have drugstore eyeshadows that are far superior. The two pale matte colors (peach and camel) are extremely pale with virtually no color payoff. The two pale shimmer colors (bone and peach) have zero color payoff. I used the peach shimmer on my lid and had to pack it on using my finger since a brush wouldn’t pick up any color at all. Even doing that the pigment was very poor. The brown matte is beautiful and unusual since it has red undertones. I used it as a liner and it had no pigment either except for the huge amount of fallout that totally messed up my concealer. I have other Estee Lauder shadows that I really like but this new formulation is a total fail in my opinion. I was interested in the Fierce Safari green palette but I am now hesitant to purchase. At this price point I think I will stick with Dior palettes.

This is for the Estee Lauder 5 pan palette of eyeshadow shades in the new Color Envy line in the shade group Fiery Saffron. I was looking for a travel and purse friendly set of neutral shadows mostly in the matte to satin range because I have aging wrinkly lids and shimmer is NOT my friend. Fiery Saffron and Defiant Nude were both winners with an honorable mention going to Ivory Power. I’ve reviewed DN elsewhere but I will use it to compare shades with Fiery Saffron so if you are on the fence between these sets you can figure it out.
Quality is WONDERFUL! Nicer than MAC or NYX or Dior. These go on buttery smooth and creamy with terrific coverage and great blendability. A step up from Mac actually. No fading that I can see. These shadows go on and stay on. NO SHIMMER FALLOUT from the shimmer shades, and these shimmers don’t accentuate my wrinkles.
The case is slim, light and sturdy with a good catch to close it, and a mirror that is big enough to use easily. Great for a purse kit and just right for travel.
2 good sponge tip applicators and a bad scratchy brush on one for blending. I like the sponge tips as these put shadow on well, but for blending I use my own soft blending brush.
At first I thought this set might be too shimmery but it’s not. I found 3 wonderful “nude” or neutral shadow sets, with this one being the warmest of the three. As a redhead I look best in warmer tones, and the cool ashy taupey shades tend to make me look ill.
If we are talking Urban Decay’s wonderful sets of “basics” this would be closer to the warmer set, while the Defiant Nude is neutral enough to go either way and Ivory Power should fit best with cool toned pale blondes. Ivory Power tends to the pinky taupes, while Fiery Saffron is golden peachy beiges and tans and the Defiant Nude is in between.
Here is a description of each of the shades in the Fiery Saffron set which I will compare against Defiant Nude.
Fiery Saffron:
Starting with the highlight shade which is a more shimmery more golden version of the highlight shade in Defiant Nude. This is very like Elizabeth Arden “Blonde” which is an aging lid friendly shimmer, and adds light without spotlighting the wrinkles. It has a golden glow to it which is really gorgeous. LOVE it! Inner corners and under brows.
Next is what they call a satin, and I call matte with life to it in a pale camel beige. This is a nude wash for the lid, terrific overall shade. Coverage is excellent, so is the durability and blendability. It is a touch deeper than the same shade in Defiant Nude, but very similar.
Moving onto the next shade which has a peachy shimmer to it. Very nice addition to add some life. Blends well, no fallout and it’s aging lid friendly. This stays a true peach or pale coppery bronzey shimmer without fading to mere gold which the Defiant Nude does.
The third of the middle shades is a matte in a soft golden tan. A little warmer and more matte than the one in Defiant Nude which is a bit more taupey and has a slight sheen to it. Good shade for a redhead eyebrow btw which makes it a great set for me to travel with. Contour shade. Quality is the same as the others in this well thought out set.
The liner shade is almost identical to the Defiant Nude but goes on even a little smoother and creamier. It’s a rich dark chestnut brown almost a cool brown, no red undertones but not too grayish taupe either. Good as a liner or for deeper contouring as it blends like a dream. For some this might be a nice brow shade.
Finally comparing these three, Ivory Power, Defiant Nude and Fiery Saffron I’d almost put them in a cool, then neutral then warm colour grouping.
Most people would find Defiant Nude a perfect neutral, but if you wish to go warmer, then pick Fiery Saffron and if you want a cooler collection of nudes then go with Ivory Power.
