This is the only pressed shadow that arrived broken. I think it’s because of it’s texture – it’s very soft glitter. It is similar in texture to Glass Bull, but even a little softer. However, it is VERY pretty – I absolutely love how this looks on my lids. To me, Mr. Sandman is the most beautiful shade released (maybe even prettier than Glass Bull), but Earthshine isa close second.
This color was a part of the December 2018 release of pressed shadows, and was one of the 24 new shades. The color of this is a burgundy base with multicolor shimmer and glitter – even though it looks like there’s only light blue shimmer in the picture, the shimmers in this are definitely very multicolored, but I guess the blue color is the one that stands out the most from the color of the base. I wish I could capture the glitter in a photo, but I don’t manage to, for some reason, but trust me: this is shimmery. I tried applying this eyeshadow with a fluffy brush, with a flat eyeshadow brush and with my fingers. This is definitely one of those colors that won’t show up well with a brush (unless you wet it) – fingers were the best way to go. After I had applied this, just like with almost all Colourpop eyeshadows, it stayed on my eyelids throughout the whole day, without any primer.
I would definitely recommend this one if you want something that is really really high-shine, multicolored and festive! I absolutely love it, but need to contact customer service at Colourpop about a replacement, since this arrived completely broken. Have never had to do that before, so will update this review about how that goes.
Otherwise: this can be purchased in a little compact case for $5 or without (just the pan) for $4, which I think is a good price. BUT: most of the time you have to make a purchase of at least $30 to get free shipping, although Colourpop sometimes have free-shipping deals and you can often find $5 coupons online (I have one for new customers on my page, but there are also some that old customers can use too – just google “colourpop $5 coupon” – it should be a name followed by “5”)
