   Honestly? Complete trash. The blue and pink are comparable to the lower quality (but workable) Wet n Wild trios. The other shades are even worse, just pure dust. If you like sheer eyeshadows and have a fair skin tone, you may get use out of this (with a sticky base). I’ll most likely try to find a way to repurpose the packaging, it’s super cute and sturdy. For the $8 I paid at Marshall’s, I’m okay with it for the packaging. If this quality of eyeshadows was in some cheap drugstore packaging I’d probably return it even if I’d only paid $5, that’s how bad it is.

   I’m wondering if there is an inconsistency in the formula. People either rave, comparing it to the venus palettes, or compare it to children’s makeup. Unfortunately I got the chalky and dry version of this. I’m very glad I got these on sale and did not spend full price.

   Smacy on youtube said that Lime Crime spent more money on packaging than the formula and she’s right. The blue is probably the best shade here and it is mediocre. Even the shimmers manage to be wisps of color and the glitter falls out everywhere. The palette also has a sickly plastic smell. Everything about these reminds me of Claire’s makeup.

   The plushies quads are Significantly more pigmented and better performing than the pocket candy palettes and I would suggest investing in those over these.

   The Pocket Candy compact in colour combination Bubblegum contains the following shades/finishes; POP (peach champagne, shimmer), SNAP (cotton candy pink, sparkle), BLOW (baby violet, satin), CHEW (toasted nude, velvet matte) and BUBBLE (sky blue, shimmer). The shade Snap doubles as a blush and Pop doubles as a cheek highlighter.

   I’m really into this type of smaller compact where products are multi-purpose and most of the shades are focused around a theme; a palette that doesn’t waste lots of it’s space (and therefore our money) by including several of the same kind of basic highlight/crease/transition shades that the average makeup lover already has many times over – I’m sure that we all have plenty of neutral shades that we love in other palettes, that we can use in conjunction with this palette to make it go further. I’d say that the shadows in here are similar to the ones in Lime Crime’s smaller Venus palettes; buttery smooth, easy to blend, great to mix together to create new shades and they have next to no fallout. The shimmer shades feel exactly like the mattes do formula-wise. All of the shadows are non-fading, and I haven’t experienced any creasing – I apply them in the morning [usually over a concealer base or primer] and they’ll still look good in the evening, when I remove it. The sparkle shades have a bit more fallout in comparison to the other shadows which have very little, which isn’t a dealbreaker for me but I still thought I’d mention it. Fallout in shadows doesn’t really bother me as I do my eyes before my base – all pigmented & softer shadows have fallout, so I do think that all good-quality shadows should kick-up a bit.

   Any disappointments? There is a more ‘basic’ shade nude tone in the palette, which I think is a waste of space as this compact is meant to be themed – with only five pans to fill, I feel as though they could have skipped the shade Chew, as most makeup wearers already have a dozen different versions of this shade in our collections.

   This is of a great quality, plus the Polly Pocket inspired packaging is insanely cute – and whilst there are only five shades in the palette and the price isn’t much less than one of Lime Crime’s 8-pan Venus palettes is, the shadow pans here are actually slightly larger in comparison, so I feel as though the price is justifiable.
