This is a very bright metallic grey. I have blue eyes and light-medium skin and can never find a grey that doesn’t seem to turn a bluish hue on me, until I tried this. I use it in the inner corner of my eye and pair it with a brown or taupe eye shadow and it looks very pretty and lasts a long time.

silver fog is a darker silver and a great color.i like to put this near my inner corner and pair with another foiled pigment and blend.it creates an amazing look. (for a cheap MAC silver fog dupe i would get the NYX in pots n pans at $4.50)I would always try my hands on this Mascara and i think it works better than the ones I got at Mascara Cosmetics. I love my look that is independent and always looks like a fake.as usual, i’m always able to turn it into a flattering shade. i like to use my eyeballs and let the eyes sparkle to create my white essence. (each piece of mine has many coats so it gives a very fast flow)Overall, it is lovely color payoff with good powder coverage. my first mascara was silver from Balmudol. I also have not had this one fall yet so i wouldn’t suggest having it over an AMSO (may be buggy on my side) even if i am trying to get this going. it’s also light weight and inexpensive.it goes well with the Mini Palette and works so well with my Ivory 2S Mascara. my Mini Palette is listed at $38 (only $2 more) and also Mascara Bookmarks. Can’t wait to go over it and get myself something to hang with in a full size pan.

MAC Verdict
Satin is a firm pigment that is very close to silvery black and very strong. Ideal for most of my everyday wear and also compliments very well on a bold shade of cream. Once again, this primer won’t rival (or even better than) some silvery black or purple powders with their similar set of colors. Though this is a shade that’s heavily pigmented in the sun, this primer is applied smoothly and evenly under various layers of shadow. When applying it to the shade below you’ll get the smooth texture and long lasting blushes.
In person, the colors shine in a, flat, color palette with a tremendous amount of coloring and pigmentation. A lot of glow comes out on the skin tone and lasts through the whole shadow. But, if you get it perfectly enough then you won’t really need to worry about sticking with it for a while. MAC is happy to provide these eyeshadows in two finishes: SPY DUY and POSE LIGHT. SPY DUY is primarily the warmer, glittery, silvery purple with the color, but the pigmentation seems to turn out just fine and this last shade is far, far lighter.
I’m very pleased with the

Silver Fog is a beautiful shimmery silver. It’s the perfect shade (not too light or too dark). I wore this on the lid with Frost pigment as a liner on the upper lash line. Stunning! An admirer told me my makeup was gorgeous like me. (wink, wink) I will update when I try this beautiful color with other shadows.

Most silvers and grey make me look sickly pale, since I am extremely pale. But this is an actual true metallic silver, I bought this on a whim yesterday at the pro store when I told the artist what trouble I had trouble finding a good silver he showed me this, and I am absolutely smitten.
Probably the best impulse buy I’ve ever had.

Gorgeous!!!! This is my favorite pigment so far. I’m not a MAC PRO member but i got this on ebay. The texture is smooth and highly pigmented…especially when used wet or with a mixing medium. I used it with my Lisa Watier Metamorfix (a Canadian product similar to MAC mixing medium) and it turned out like a foil finish. My love for MAC continues…

My favorite and most used pigment by far- Gorgeous color!! I love to wear it wet or dry, but especially wet. I love it with different colors and alone and it really makes my eyes sparkle and pop. The shimmer is just enough and is so amazing.
I definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a silver color.

My HG silver, hands down and with no buts about it.
Silver Fog is a true silver, without muddy or bluish undertones. It’s metallic and has a bit of sparkle to it, but it is by no means “glittery”. I am around NC 10 (VERY pale) with blonde hair, and this color looks INCREDIBLE on the inside of my lids, on the lower lash line, or even as a wash of color over the mobile lid.
Yesterday, I wore this look on my eyes and felt beautiful:
-Bare Study paint pot as a base, applied over the entire lid with Mac 227 brush
-Lily White pigment applied lightly over the paint pot with Mac 217 and buffed out over browbone so as not to be too frosty
-Silver Fog applied wet with the 217 over the mobile lid and the inner half of the lower lid
-Macroviolet fluidline applied on upper lashline and winged out
-black mascara
This shade is imminently wearable and I can definitely see myself needing to get a second jar of this at some point in the future. LOVE IT!

Very silvery, very metallic – a very ‘hard’ shade. Makes me look a bit pale, but combined can look nice. Blends well. I have a sample and don’t need a fs. But if you look for a really non-greyish silver you will be happy with this one.

Wow, this is thee perfect silver pigment/eyeshadow! I can’t wear all grays & silvers… but Silver Fog is outstanding to me! I’m just sorry I didn’t buy it sooner. I love this on the inner thirds of the lids with a silvered-brown (BB Brown Stone Metallic e/s) on the outside 2/3s, and MAC Smoke & Diamonds in the crease. (I’ll bet SF looks great with plum & blue eyeshadows, too.) This is so very pretty and a great eye-opening combo for hazel eyes!

This is one lovely pigment from MAC that I have been getting lots of usage out of! Silver Fog doesn’t appear that much of an exciting colour in the container but on my GGG, yellow toned complexion it shows up as a pretty shimmery silver shade with very subtle hints of blue. Perfect for days when I want an easy neutral makeup look! Another reason why I love this pigment is that it can be mixed with other pigments to create different shades. I have mixed Silver Fog with Dark Soul in a sample jar and it creates a beautiful gunmetal colour.
