Smashbox “Hang” is not a grey taupe. In the pan and in my skin is a matte medium beige color. For the price and the color I can find better eyeshadows.

Smashbox describes the color of Hang as “light gray taupe,” and that’s fairly accurate, though I’d characterize the color as closer to “medium.”
I love Hang as a lid shade; grays have a tendency to go blue on my NW15 face, but a “dirty” gray like Hang looks true gray, which is exactly what I want.
Hang is smooth and well-pigmented, though it does have a slight tendency toward powderiness. It applies well and blends easily on my very oily skin, and wears for several hours, even without primer. Primer, of course, extends the wear significantly.
Packaging consists of a sturdy, no-frills mirrorless plastic compact with a clear lid. The pan is somewhat larger than average, which makes the $18.00 USD price more reasonable.
If you like good neutral eyeshadows, this line is one to check out. I’m planning to try Nude and/or Wheat next.
