I love cream eyeshadows because they`re quick and easy to use and as someone who doesn`t have a lot of time to get ready in the mornings, but still wants to look polished, cream stick shadows are a lifesaver. This color is gorgeous, just the right amount of sparkle without being too metallic, lasts on my eyes without primes, doesn`t crease and is easy to blend. Out of all the cream stick shadows I have owned, this is my top favorite, along with the Bullet Proof sticks from Too Faced. I will repurchase and would love to try other shades as well. Too bad the netaporter site carries only two shades.

I gave away this pencil, this really sums up my review!
The colour, initially so tempting when swatched on my hand at Space NK, on my eyelids looked like I was just recovering from a black eye! The yellow (or yellowy gold perhaps?) micro glitter picked up all the sallow tones in my skin highlighting dark circles and discoloration. I have warm tones in my skin and hazel eyes – this colour should have been perfect but it was such a disappointment. The big part of that disappointment might have also been the price, it really IS very expensive.
The packaging is beautiful, gold, metal and sturdy (I keep it unboxed in my makeup bag and it did not get a single scratch) one just needs to remember to close it tightly (until you hear it ‘click’) to stop the shadow from drying out. Not that it did dry out!
I fighted with it for several months (a little goes a really long way! I have not managed to finish it off). After the first application when the colour really did not suit me I hoped for it to be a base for another shadow – micro glitter is beautiful, you can diffuse the colour and then it sets so I hoped it will make me ditch my NARS primer which would be convenient as I travel a lot. Unfortunately it creased on my oily eyelids in the Scottish humidity within 3-4 hours from the application. I really don’t like this, it looks messy and makes me look somewhat old and not put together. I have Top Shop jumbo pencils that don’t do that, the By Terry one behaved like Sephora jumbo pencil – same longevity just not the price.
Another reviewer mentioned looking for a dupe in Kiko products but I have a not dissimilar cream shadow pencil from Bobbi Brown which is in a plastic packaging and that also creases. If you can access Top Shop beauty I do recommend their shadow pencils, colours are beautiful and they truly do not budge.

I’ve been a fan of By Terry products for a long time and for a good reason: they’re consistently excellent quality. Even with the high price tag, I never feel ripped off or duped. You can be confident you’re getting your money’s worth.
I’m not generally a cream eyeshadow person but these were getting a lot of rave reviews from bloggers a while back so I decided to try out Bronze Moon. It’s a shimmery bronze with a brown base – there’s no red in it thankfully. It comes in a twist up gold stick and the packaging seems to be well constructed as I’ve had Bronze Moon for a year and a half now and it’s still as good as when I first opened it. That’s impressive to me because most cream products dry up fast. The shimmer in this is definitely very apparent and for that reason, this is not something I wear on a daily basis, certainly not for day-time use. if you don’t care for frosty looking products, maybe steer clear.
Bronze Moon is creamy and blendable and gives you enough time to work with before it sets. I usually blend it in with my fingers but sometimes I’ll use a goat hair brush to diffuse it more evenly. I find that Bronze Moon also works well as a base for other powder eyeshadows, just like a primer. The lasting power of Bronze Moon on its own is impressive and it holds up the whole day for me, even in the VERY humid place where I live. I haven’t experience any creasing either nor does it irritate my easily irritated eyes.
I have another of the Ombre Blackstar eyeshadows in Nude Milky Way and I can report it’s also excellent quality. The shimmer in it is much more subtle than Bronze Moon and imparts a soft luminosity rather than a foiled sheen. I do think if you buy one of the Blackstars, you sort of need a few more if you want to get a non flat looking look. Nude Milky Way is especially good for high-lighting the inner corners and brow bone – I believe it was limited edition but I think it’s still available at some places. Worth tracking down!
Would I rebuy? Probably not because I’m not a shimmer person and these can look almost metallic in certain lighting. Still the formula is very good and if you don’t mind some shimmer, check these guys out. It you prefer work appropriate matte neutrals, Burberry has a range of Smoke and Sculpt eye pens which are drier but much easier to wear in my opinion.

I love this product! Have been using it for nights out smoked up with something darker in the crease and lots of eyeliner and also toned down during the day.

-Bronze moon is a wearable shade for any skintone or eye colour – i’m pale and blue eyed but it would look fab on any eye shade and skin colour
-Sleek packaging and handy design – just swipe over the eye and blend
-Sets quickly and lasts long

Price – yes that’s the only one – for an eyeshadow it’s a bit steep!

I purchased 8 of the colors in this line – two that I purchased, Bronze Moon and Brown Perfection have fallen apart – shortly after purchase. When I open the cap, the stick of eyeshadow flies out of the end and makes a greasy mess wherever it hits. I called Barneys in Chicago to tell them about this and the salesperson told me the no one has ever complained about that before and that I should contact the company in France. I sent an email about a month ago and just got an email back today telling me to return to Barney w/ receipt. I told her I did not keep the receipt and that Barneys was telling me to go to the company. I even attached photos of the broken pencils. I definitely don’t think these are worth the money – Laura Merciers crayons are much better – they stay on better and the applicators don’t break. Not buying any more from this company! I have to add that the color I bought at BeautyBar.com was replaced pleasantly and without question – not Barneys! I called the manager at the Chicago store and explained how rudely I was treated and he said he would replace the item if I came by the store. I told him that to drive downtown and park is more expensive than the pencil – he agreed to do a product pick-up by UPS and replace when he gets the product. Now I have to take the day off to be home for the UPS pick-up – if you insist on buying this brand, buy from Amazon, Bloomingdales or beauty bar.com – Barneys customer service is terrible!

I’m addicted to these shadow sticks. They blow every other formula I’ve tried out of the water. They last all day (even in the water line) without a primer or powder on top. Bronze Moon is on the sparkly side but not much more than Maybelline’s “On and On Bronze”/”Bad to the Bronze”. It feels weightless and glides on like butter. If I want a more opaque look I find it works best to build it up in thinly blended out layers. I apply it from the pen and blend with my fingers or a synthetic brush. While I wish the price was lower– it’s worth what I’ve paid for it.

This product has such an incredibly luxurious feel… The buttery texture of the Ombre Blackstar eyeshadows ensures they are comfortable to wear; you hardly notice them once they set. The lasting power is truly extraordinary, do ensure you have a quality makeup remover up your sleeve for removal.
As for the colour Bronze Moon, I am in love. This pure bronze is what I was looking for in all my bronze powder eyeshadows but could never quite build up/layer enough to get that solid opaque look. Use with a darker shadow in the crease for killer nighttime eyes!

I love this product! The pencil makes it easy to apply and in 10-20 seconds I can have perfect looking smoky eyes. The cream goes on smoothly and can be blended somewhat in the first minute or so. You do have to work quite quickly because once it sets it is difficult to budge. I have had it on for 10 hours and counting and there are no creases and the colour is exactly as it was when I first put it on.
The colour ‘Bronze Moon’ looks a little scary in the tube but is actually quite sheer when applied so you can build the colour if you want to. It has some sparkle – enough to give a ‘glow’ or metallic sheen but I wouldn’t describe it as glittery. As you would expect the bronze colour is a warm tone and suits me perfectly with my fair skin/green eyes/dark blonde hair combo.
The packaging is simple and elegant and I like the wind up pencil. They come in a limited range of shades – mostly neutrals. The only downside is that this product is expensive! These sell for $70 a pop at Mecca which as far as I know is the only place it is available in Australia. The best deal I found online was Strawberrynet – $37 each. Even at $37 it is still expensive for 1 shade of eyeshadow. Hopefully it will last a long time :/ In spite of the price I would probably get suckered into getting these again considering how easy they are to use and how simple they make my makeup routine. To be honest, if strawberrynet has them in stock again I’ll probably buy more shades.
