This could very well be my favorite palette of all time! The colors are beautiful, they blend well, I don’t think I could ever be without it. I get sooo many compliments when I wear this. You can make a number of different looks. I’m not very good at makeup, so I have learned to go to YouTube for tutorials because whenever I try to put the colors together on my own, with any palette, I don’t get the results like I get when I use the tutorials. They have played with the formulas enough to make some great looks, they know how each one applies and blends together. Based on how much I love this, I have also ordered the coral obsessions and amethyst obsessions. Hopefully they are just as amazing. I have the huda nudes and I really like it, but it pales in comparison to this. Sooo good!

I think this is THE ONE! I can travel with it and create several looks or grab it when I don’t know what to wear. It’s versatile so that I can do a soft look but also a more dramatic Smokey look. Out of the 9 shades, 6 are matte which I love and the most perfect shimmery pink lid shade is in this palette. The other 2 mid toned shimmers I’ve been using on my bottom lash line. The best part is that the shadows are buildable and blend well into each other AND there is a matte ivory which is a must. 2 transition / crease shades and 3 options for lining/ darkening and adding depth round out this perfect palette for my green eyes (NC20). The packaging is compact and has a mirror which is great for travel. Cannot say enough about this little gem. If you have green eyes, please try this out!

Mauves oranges and purples are my all time faves. This palette is so compact and the colors are gorgeous however some shadows can get patchy. Need to be careful when applying. I would use brush or my finger onto my eyes. It’s a good product but not one of the best palettes out there.

Wanted to love this. Colors are pretty in the pan, but when I apply them, it just looks muddy on me. All of the colors look the same, shimmers do not last. For the price and the brand, I expected more. Will not purchase any more of these eyeshadow palettes.

Huda Beauty’s Mini Obsessions palette in Mauve contains nine powder eyeshadows. Five shades are matte [burgundy, neutral taupe, muted medium red, muted deep plum & light warm beige], three shades are shimmers [medium coral, light peach & medium pinky red] and one shade has a satin finish [deep red].
I’m really into this more compact type of palette now, where the vast majority of the shades are focused around a theme; a palette that doesn’t waste lots of it’s space (and therefore our money) by including several of the same kind of basic highlight/crease/transition shades that the average makeup lover already has many times over – I’m sure that we all have plenty of neutral shades that we love in other palettes, that we can use in conjunction with this palette to make it go further.
The mattes in the Mauve palette are on another level from the ones in Huda’s first eyeshadow palette [the Rose Gold palette]. I’d say that they’re more similar to the ones in her recent large palette [Desert Dusk] release; buttery smooth, mega easy to blend, great to mix together to create new shades and they have next to no fallout. The shimmer shades feel exactly like the mattes do formula-wise. All of the shadows are non-fading, and I haven’t experienced any creasing – I apply them in the morning [no primer] and they’ll still look good in the evening, when I remove it. The metallic shades have a bit more fallout in comparison to the other shadows which have very little, which isn’t a dealbreaker for me but I still thought I’d mention it. Fallout in shadows doesn’t really bother me as I do my eyes before my base – all pigmented & softer shadows have fallout, so I do think that all good-quality shadows should kick-up a bit.
Any disappointments? There are two ‘basic’ matte shades in the palette, which I think is a waste of space as this is meant to be themed around a single colour and with only nine product pans to fill different shades should have been used, as most makeup wearers have a dozen taupe and beige shades already. Speaking of the theme; I think that Huda should have called this ‘berry’ or ‘rouge’ obsessions.
There are only nine shades in the palette, but the pricing is reasonable enough to excuse this, especially considering the great product quality. Just a quick price comparison for those scoffing at the small compact size [it’s around the size of a MAC/Dior/Chanel-type quad]; you are getting 10g of product in this 9-pan palette for £25 and just 8g in a £43 ABH 14-pan palette. I enjoy this product, but if I lost it I wouldn’t bother to rebuy it – Huda is late to the party with this palette, as it seems like every brand has done their take on rouge/pink/mauve tones, so I have too many similar shades too want to bother getting this again. However If you love this kind of shade range and don’t want a larger, more pricey palette, then I still recommend looking into Mauve Obsessions.

Swatches poorly but don’t let that deter you! It works very well on the eyes, blends seamlessly. Love the compact size. Can do a variety of red/mauve eye looks. I was worried it would be “too red” but the colours actually came together well and looked flawless on me. Obsessed!
