I think this version of the line has been discontinued (the new line is called long wear i think). I’ve finally used up this butter creme quad set (110). I don’t think i’ll ever find the crease color from this set again, sort of a beige gold bronze. The accent color was great as well ( warm / nuetral) brown. These blended really well and weren’t too shimmery. Oh well.

I love these eyeshadows, I have the quad in the color Butter Creme. The eyeshadows are pretty pigmented but I love how well the colors blend with each other and create a super natural and easy look. The colors usually don’t crease on me, but I usually use a primer (either the Urban Decay primer potion or the ELF one, depending on how lazy I am), I almost never wear eyeshadow out on a daily basis but this summer, I wore this one day out and now I can’t stop. I usually don’t buy from Neutrogena but this product was amazing and if anyone wanted a neutral eyeshadow quad I would recommend this one first.

The colors are fine, I have the one with the pink and purple shades. However, the pink one shows up a little too powdery. But I do like that the base color as SPF 20. The other colors are quite pigmented and good and the colors are pretty easy to blend. However, the lasting power isn’t that great at all. Even with a base, it faded pretty quickly. 😐 If it weren’t for that, I would have bumped it up a lippie but until they fix that. It’s a mediocre product.

I use buttercreme quad on the rare occasion that I do wear eyeshadow. I have sensitive eyelids and this is the only eyeshadow I can wear without having my eyelids irritated and then flaring into a bright red color. I love the spf factor and would recommend this product for those with sensitive eyelids.

I like the colors. They all work well together it comes with 4 colors. 1 is a base to use with the shadows. The colors do come out lighter then they appear. It also has directions to show you where to place the colors.

I tried Blue Smoke on my daughter who has dark brown eyes and on my own hazel eyes. It has lasted all afternoon and is a blue that looks good on brown eyes! The base seems to help the shadows stick better. I normally don’t use a base. The included applicator leaves something to be desired but if you needed a touch up I think it would work fine. It cost me $10.49 at CVS but I had printed a $4 off a $20 purchase coupon for being a CVS rewards member.

I have this in moonlit violet and taupes – i used to love both quads because of the color selections, the convenience of having all shades in one place with labels about where each one goes, and they look beautiful when they’re first applied. But they fade unfortunately – I wouldnt mind if they’re weren’t so pricey; you’re better off using NYX which is actually cheaper.

I have this in Butter Creme. It was hard to choose which color would be best (the other brown/taupe shades looked similar) but this is the lightest. It does crease after a long time (my eyelids get oily), but the color is natural-looking and brightening at the same time. I use the base, crease and highlighter colors but I’m not going to try the accent (darkest) shade because of my fair complexion.

I bought this product a month ago in Buttercreme because I liked the colors in it. It creased a lot and I thought it was because I wasn’t using a good enough primer for it, so I switched from Urban Decay’s Primer Potion to MAC’s paint pot but it still caused creasing after only two hours. I also noticed that it was hard to apply and took a bit of work to get the colors to show. This product was a total waste, I don’t recommend it at all.

The color selection is excellent I think. Even with the more neutral, natural shades you can build them up for a more dramatic look. The SPF is a bonus. I want to love them because the shades look so good on my skin, BUT:
The colors don’t last, and they crease within a few hours, even with UDPP. The crease shades (I have Sea Shell and Butter… Toffee? I think is the name) don’t seem pigmented enough and I have to swipe my brush more than I’d like to get it to show up on my skin. But then the accent shades, the darker/more dramatic colors, are almost TOO pigmented and it doesn’t help when I just want the subtlest of dimension on the outer corner. So I don’t know.
Plus, $10 is a little on the expensive side for a drugstore brand. If Neutrogena can reformulate the staying power I will definitely buy again.
